Procedures

1. Mini lesson: Lesson about Our National Identity &

Culture. We will first watch this video about different
cultures so the students can better understand what
culture is. Cultures of the World | A fun overview of the world
cultures for kids - YouTube. Then we will discuss what
traditions, food, language, culture, and holidays they
have at home. We will share our differences and similar
traditions. I (the educator) will give them an example of
my traditions. For example: My family celebrates
Christmas for three months.

2. Students will write their traditions in a sheet I will

provide. I have made a sheet so kids can brainstorm
some ideas for their mini in class project. Students will
work individually with this sheet.
Procedures
3. I (the educator) will provide them 12x18
construction paper. They can also use other
materials such as markers and color pencils.
After they are done with their individual project
they will show and tell. This will give students the
opportunity to show and tell and learn about
different cultures.

4. Individual instruction: The educator will explain

to the students why learning about different
cultures is important. Such as: It is important to
learn about different cultures because it helps us
understand and respect individuals. The
instructure will also provide information about
how our cultures and identity has shaped the
United States. Will use a powerpoint to teach
about U.S. being one of the most culturally
diverse countries.
Assessment

I will grade based on participation and working

efficiently. If students have worked collectively and
follow all lessons properly then they will receive a
high grade. I will observe their engagements in
future lessons about this topic.
