ARCOR
ARCOR
Many advantages
Dry tribological properties of the porous layer
Good friction properties
Improvement of surface chargeability of oil
Excellent seizure resistance Ceramic properties of the nitride layer which prevents adhesion by sticking
between mechanical parts
Hot stability M a x i m u m p e r m i t t e d u s e t e m p e r a t ur e g r e a t e r t h a n 5 0 0 ° C
These treatments concern mainly ferrous alloys (steel, cast iron, stainless steel, etc.) and are
carried out between 500°C and 630°C.
The aim of CLIN treatments is, from a heterogeneous surface reaction, to transfer into the
into the solid metal alloy nitrogen and carbon atoms contained in the molten salt.
Following the transfer of the nitrogen into the steel, 2 very distinct phases are obtained:
Environmental aspects
Due to REACH legislation in Europe, Surface Treatment industry is undergoing significant changes.
With its CLIN family, HEF-DURFERRIT offers surface treatment alternative to chrome plating without
significant changes on the design.
