1.0 Introduction

Training and development are providing education within a company created to enhance the
knowledge and skills of employees. It is because every employee has knowledge and skills that can
be used in different work fields but the way the company can enhance and develop employees’ skills
is by using the training and development process. The reason why we Diploma in Human Capital
Management (DHCM) students conduct this training session is to spread the knowledge and skills
about the training because it is important to each student to get to know every training and
development method and process. From this training session, they can also have an experience about
how the training will be conducted in an organization. The topic that we choose to conduct training
sessions are communication skills, teamwork skills, and leadership skills. The reason why we chose
these topics is each student needs to learn every skill to provide the best contribution to a company.
For example, if a manager assigns a group project, there must be a leader must lead the group.
Secondly, the teamwork of every group can achieve the target of the company. Thirdly, to get a piece
of proper information about the project process, every group must have communication to keep up to
date about the project processes.

3
2.0 Objectives of Training
The main objective that each DHCM student is can gain experience in training so it will help
them to work better in the work environment. It is because from conducting these sessions, the
feedback that we get from lecturer and participant DHCM students can get to learn from mistakes.
The second objective is these sessions can help students to gain new knowledge or information that
helps students to do a job well. Especially, internship students. It is because internship students don’t
have the proper guide or the skills that they needed in a company to finish the company targets.
Besides, it helps students for future readiness. It is because the environment in the company brings up
a lot of challenges for employees, especially new employees. So, from this training, they can be
prepared to face every challenge in an organization to achieve their life goals. The third objective is
better employee performance. Once students have basic training guidelines, students can give better
performance in their work environment. Last but not least, it also helps students to provide better
services and products to customers. A company always gives importance to customer's needs that’s
why the company hires more employees to increase better services to reach customer's satisfaction
with their products or services.

5.0 Activity
Training session 1
Tuesday (15 August 2023)

1) Building tower
Instructions: This game has to be played in groups. The group members have to build a strong and
tallest tower with a certain amount of paper given. The tower has to build in between
the time provided. The group members can share their ideas and knowledge. Then the
organizers will measure the tower by putting a food can on top of the tower to see how
strong the tower is. We will measure it for a few seconds. If the tower falls within the
time means the group will lose the game.
Benefits: This game will make the group members communicate with each other by giving
everyone’s opinions. And this can increase their communication skill even though the
group members are not their friends. Also, this task will improve leadership skills
among them on how they lead their group. Most importantly, teamwork skills are a
must in this game. Because without teamwork they can’t build a proper tower.
Rules: - Each tower must be constructed from the paper and tape supplied by the organizer.
- Contestants have a 20-minute period in which to construct their towers.
- Each tower must be free-standing; it must not be attached to, or lean against any other
surface (e.g., floor, wall, desk, etc.)
- Towers must stand for 30 seconds.

2) Limbo
Instructions: Have the player bend backward and go under the stick without touching it. The goal of
limbo is to successfully pass underneath the stick without letting it touch any part of
your body. Secondly, have 2 players or leaders hold either end of a stick horizontally
at about the average shoulder height of the participants. Players line up behind the
stick and, one at a time, lean backward and dance under the limbo stick. If they fall,
touch the ground with anything other than their feet, or touch the stick, they are
considered out of the game. After all, participants have had an opportunity to try the
stick at the height, lower the limbo stick, and everyone who made it the first time gets
to go again. The stick is lowered by a little after each round. The winner is the player
still able to pass under the stick when no other player can make it under without
touching the limbo stick or falling.
Benefits: It improves trainee engagement by immersing them in a challenging and entertaining
activity that requires concentration and coordination. Besides, it encourages mistakes
and risk-taking by allowing them to experiment and learn from their errors in a safe
and supportive environment. Furthermore, it improves knowledge retention by
stimulating their memory and cognitive skills through repetition and feedback. Apart,
it fosters collaboration and communication by requiring them to work together, cheer
each other on, and share tips and strategies. It enhances physical fitness and flexibility
by stretching their muscles, improving their posture, and increasing their blood
circulation.
Rules: - Players cannot crouch, duck, or crawl to pass under, meaning they must bend
backward to get beneath the pole.
- The player will disqualify if they fall over or touch the stick. In traditional, limbo rules, a
player is out if they touch the pole in any way or cannot keep their balance.
- If we play the limbo games with the child, keep the fun going by making the rules less
strict, like letting players touch the pole with some parts of their body or giving people
multiple changes before disqualification.

10.0 Conclusion
In summary, training, and development are very important in every organization. It is because
training and development have played vital roles to achieve the company's target. This is the reason
why every company provides training to new employees and old employees if new machines or
products are introduced in a company. Secondly, for every project must be a leader who guides the
group members to accomplish the project given by the manager or top-level management. So, as a
leader of the project, the leader should have leadership skills to handle and solve the conflict during
the project. Thirdly, teamwork skills are also important because every project must have its own
group to achieve the target or goals of the project. Without team member's helps it can be difficult.
Each team member can play different roles in the project and also can provide suitable ideas for the
project to improve the productivity of the company. Last but not least, communication skills are
playing a vital role because without having proper communication it will lead to misunderstanding
among the group members. If there misunderstanding happened among the group members, it is too
difficult to achieve the goals and get the proper guideline. This is the reason why every group
member should need to have communication among the group member to keep up to date about the
project.
