REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
Conceptual Literature
Organic fertilizer or fermented plant juice there is a positive and
advantageous impact to the growth of the plant with respect to the time.
Aside from this, it also shows higher percentage of yield and vibrant
appearance. The effectiveness of fermented plant juice to vegetables
specifically in eggplant (Solanum melongena sp.) in contrast to commercial
fertilizer found in the market as one of the most common practice of local
farmers in the area. According to Gonzaga (2019), the importance of organic
concoctions and extracts as natural farming and ensuring future sustainable
eco-friendly agriculture practices. This study is similar to Alam, Md. Amirul
(2017). Sates that treated plants with fermented plant juice produce early
fruits compared to untreated plants due to the enhanced production auxin
and essential nutrients.
A recent study shows that there is a significant difference between the
growth of eggplants, based on the variation of time by week. There are
interactions of difference in the control response over the three weeks
compared to the treatment response over the three week, this observed the
organic treated plants pest resistance was highly noted. Fermented plant are
well- known all over the world used in industrial production including the
Philippines where fermented products has.

Related Studies
Fermented plant juice is well known and widely used all over the
world including the Philippines where fermented products used as fertilizer on
plants. The study of Alam (2021) pursued the use of plants extracts as
fertilizer because of the increasing price of commercial and synthetic
fertilizers and its residual effect on the soil environment. In conclusion, this
research conducted to evaluate the growth and development of plant in the
open field and produced culture applied with fermented plant juice.
The usage of fermented plant juice as fertilizer is expected to improve
the quality of the plant along with foliar application where nutrient application
is better than direct fertilization. (Naz et al. 2011).
Recently, the practices of soil management using chemical fertilizers
help crop yields by improving nutrient supplies. However, it also causes the
cultivation of land and agricultural population, to solve this situation, organic
manures helps in combating disease problems (Wazir et al. 2018)
This process may help the production of Solanum melongena sp. plant
as one of the common practices of the Filipino local farmers.

Theoretical Framework
The result demonstrates the effectiveness of organic fertilizer such as
fermented plant juice (FPJ) to vegetables specifically on eggplant ( Solanum
melongena sp.) in contrast to commercial fertilizers. There is a significant difference
between the growth of eggplants and its fruit production with respect to time, labor
of work and budget wise. This study is similar to Alam, Md. Amirul. (2017). Which
states that the treated plant with FPJ produces early flowers and fruits compared to
untreated plants due to the enhanced production of auxin and essential nutrients.
This research may provide additional literature and the importance of organic
concoctions and extracts as natural farming and ensuring future sustainable eco-
friendly agriculture practices.

Summary
