2. PURPOSE:
To provide technical support for the installation and proper functioning of larger capacity of Water
Treatment Plants (WTPs) and Effluent Treatment Plants (EPTs) through the water
entrepreneurs/SMEs and owner of the RMG factories in both urban and rural areas.

3. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
To supervise installation of water treatment plant (WTP) and effluent treatment plant (ETP)
technologies.
To maintains liaison with local government and non-government officials at local level
To explore interested WTP and ETP entrepreneurs including women and youth for sustainable
business.
To create awareness of the community people about using safe water.
Check the quality control of the infrastructure development related work (budget, estimate,
schedule, installation works, O&M of WTPs/ETPs etc.) and update the project team lead regularly
on project status.
Field visit in regular basis and discuss on project interventions with different govt. & non-govt.
organizations/agencies and project stakeholders (i.e., RMG factory owners, water entrepreneurs,
and SMEs).

To select appropriate sites and water entrepreneurs and RMG factories to install the WTPs and
ETPs as per design and specification of the Grundfos and Hydro Industries Ltd.
To develop a sustainable supply chain through SMEs for the proper functioning of the installed 30
WTPs and ETPs and ensure the after sales services for satisfaction of the clients.
To provide support to the SMEs (service agents) to set up with equipment and training on
delivering services to the Water Entrepreneurs and RMG factory owners on smooth operation of
installed Grundfos and Hydro Industries WTPs/ETPs technologies.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions discussing with the
technical manager.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation
to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of
support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and
ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place,
encourage others to do so.

4. MAJOR CHALLENGES:
 Set-up a sustainable supply chain of the machinery/equipment of WTPs/ETPs through the
orientation of local SMEs
 Ensuring sustainable operation and maintenance of WTPs/ETPs
 Mobilization of local entrepreneurs for the investment in the business of WTPs
 Motivation and getting commitment from the RMG factory owners to install of ETPs and
operate for ensuring sustainable environment
