Position
CFO & Compliance Officer of Capital Fortunes (Group)
Key responsibilities
1. Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting & Compliance
Managing accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in
compliance with company policy and applicable standards and regulations
Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements for both business and
statutory purposes
Oversee all periodic statutory/regulatory compliances across Companies Act, Income Tax Act,
GST, SEBI (FEMA on need basis) to ensure timely submission/payments
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
Coordinate the annual business plans for individual business units and the group
Analyse financial data to provide insights (via periodic MIS/dashboards) to identify gaps and
opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with individual business units to develop and monitor their financial plans and
budgets
3. Banking & Operations
Develop and maintain relationship with all banks of the group – across transactions,
investments and advances
Liaise with banks and financial institutions to meet funding requirements as required
4. Risk Management
Oversee all policies/SOPs (existing and new) of the group
Identify and assess financial risks, that may concern the group and its entities
Develop and implement/improve internal controls and risk mitigation strategies
5. Legal/Documentation and Secretarial Compliance
Oversee all documentation with employees, consultants, vendors, etc.
Review and improve internal/external documentation on ongoing basis
Lead all statutory compliances and board proceedings of the group across entities
6. Stakeholder Management
Oversee preparation of reports/presentations on the current and projected financial
performance of the group, for both internal and external audiences
Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers
and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications & Skills
A Chartered Accountant and CS/LLB (preferable)
Atleast five years experience in finance, accounting and compliance
Ability to manage finances of multiple entities simultaneously
Working knowledge in taxation, statutory compliance and corporate law/regulation
Knowledge (or quick on uptake) with SEB, RBI & FEMA regulations and compliances
Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to handling issues on timely basis
Ability to act with full ownership
