Connection Details

This document provides a connection diagram showing how an IDU (Indoor Unit) can transmit fault signals to an external device. It includes: 1) The IDU main control board and expansion board can output an alarm signal to an external fault alarm device via ports like CN22. 2) The IDU can be remotely started or stopped by receiving signals from an external device through ports like CN55. 3) The diagram shows the connection between the IDU and external devices, including how the IDU can control external relays and devices.

1 CN4 Input 220 ~ 240 V AC, ≤1 A polythene sheathed cords (cross
power supply
section ≥ 1.5 mm2)
Connected to the adapter
2 CN5 Input Program writing port 5 V DC, ≤1 mA connector of the program burner
(provided by the factory)
The port is on the 1# expansion board, 220 ~ 240 V AC, ≤3 mA Provided on site: external devices,
and used for remote on/off control of the power supply, flexible polythene
IDU by low current external devices, sheathed cords (cross section
such as a 220 to 240 V hotel card ≥ 0.75 mm2, length up to 50 m)
3 CN7 Input adapter. It should be connected to a 220
to 240 V high current power source. For
details on output signals of the port, see
Table 3.2-1.

The port is on the IDU main control Between the two pins (IN Provided on site: external devices,
board, and used for remote on/off control and GND): 12 VDC, ≤ 1 flexible polythene sheathed cords
of the IDU by low current external mA (cross section ≥ 0.75 mm2, length
devices, such as a 12 V hotel card up to 50 m)
4 CN55 Input adapter and a 12 V door and window
(IN/GND) linkage device. For details on output
signals of the port, see Table 3.2-1.

Precautions for setting the remote On/Off control of the IDU through CN7 and CN55 (IN/GND) ports:
a. Positive logic:
1) When the remote On/Off signals are low level signals, the port outputs remote forced power-off signals, and the IDU will remain off.
2) When the remote On/Off signals are high level signals, the port outputs remote power-on signals, and the IDU can remain on or off.
b Negative logic:
1) When the remote On/Off signals are high level signals, the port outputs remote forced power-off signals, and the IDU will remain off.
2) When the remote On/Off signals are low level signals, the port outputs remote power-on signals, and the IDU can remain on or off.
c. The positive and negative logic of the CN55 (IN/GND) port of the IDU main control board is set by the wired controller/centralized
controller. For the settings, see the operation instructions for the setting tools listed in Table 3.2-1. The positive and negative logic of the
CN7 port of the 1# expansion board is set by the S4-1 DIP switch on the board. For the settings, see Table 3.2-2.
d. When the CN7 port of the 1# expansion board is set to receive remote On/Off control signals, the CN55 (IN/GND) port of the IDU main
control board becomes invalid (and it does not receive any remote On/Off control signal).
