”The MBA International Trade
programme opens great
opportunities for advancing one's
career, or in my case, changing my
career direction.
After earning my Mechanical
Engineering degree in India, the MBA
programme helped me broaden my
management knowledge as well as
understand the European culture,
mindset and working practices.
Furthermore, the MBA network
supported and guided me to my
current job as a business data
analytics manager at DB Schenker in
Frankfurt (am Main), Germany.“
Anhalt University of Applied Sciences
The Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is situated in central Germany and thus in one of the liveliest cultural and economic regions.
Traditionally, particular importance is placed on the combination of science and innovation here. With over 7,700 students in seven
departments and the Landesstudienkolleg, we are the biggest University of Applied Sciences in Saxony-Anhalt today. At three locations in
Bernburg, Dessau and Köthen, we unite innovative teaching and research in 65 Bachelor and Master's degree programmes.
Courses of study at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences are practice-oriented and offered at the highest level. Application-oriented
project work, international internships and practice-oriented final theses in collaboration with businesses offer the opportunity to put
innovation to practical use. A shorter study duration allows for early entry into a career. Bachelor's degree studies can be completed after
six terms, and a Master's degree can be conferred after a further four terms. New teaching methods and e-learning round off our high-
quality training and further education. In addition, our dual courses of study and international research offer students a multitude of
possibilities for successful entry into a career both nationally and internationally.
In the field of research, the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences occupies a premier position among German universities and is well placed
for attracting third-party funding. Our successful application and transfer-oriented research projects extend across the whole of central
Germany. Furthermore, thanks to our close contacts in numerous small and medium sized companies, many of our research findings and
results are employed directly in practice. This is also of advantage to students, as practical studies lead to a seamless transition into the
professional world and offer the best career prospects.

University location
Bernburg
Bernburg, a town on the river Saale and a regional hub of commercial, intellectual and cultural importance, has undergone an enormous
transformation since the political turnaround in the GDR. From a grey centre of cement, soda, salt and serum industries, a hill and valley
town radiating out from a renovated old town, where painstakingly restored monuments of cultural and historic interest cluster around
Bernburg Castle, has emerged. The Bernburg community is tackling the theme of "Generating a Future in Education" as part of the IBA,
thereby shaping a new cultural and educational landscape. The upgrading of secondary school provision is a particular priority. With this in
mind, an education centre, the "Campus Technicus", is planned for a site in the heart of the town near the castle, theatre, library and music
school. In addition to an all-day school, a space for use by the general public – the "Treibhaus" (greenhouse) – is also to be built. In this
way, the town is to be restored to vitality and equipped for life-long learning.
