Pre-Class Session Students need to do the following activities at home


- Student Learning Activities at o Students will read course notes on Brighten, and make notes
home of important points
o Students will also watch THREE (3) YouTube video clips
about the graphical screen design.
o After reading notes and watching videos, students will
complete an exercise to evaluate an example of a user
interface design based on their understanding of the topic.
o Students will suggest the re-design of the given user interface
by applying the graphical screen design concepts and
principles.

2. Flipped Activity 1 Answer: Submission via Brighten (Due date:


25/09/2022)

During Class Session 1. Class will start with students pairing in small groups (5-8pax) and
- Classroom Activities facilitator will instruct them according to the Active Learning
and Materials technique (3-steps Interview -3SI). They will be given 30 minutes
to do the 3SI and complete it.
o divide students into groups of 5-8, and assign three roles:
designer, user and note taker
o have students participate in a five to 10-minute discussion
to identify the key issues of the example UI design.
o After each session, have students rotate roles. Each student
will present their design ideas (as designer) to the other
team members that will be playing the role as the intended
users)
o Depending on factors including the grade level of your
students and their experience with the strategy, you may
adjust the length of the time for each session.
o During this session, the facilitator need to move around
and assist the groups if needed.

2. After 3SI, the session will proceed with an interactive question and
answer session between the facilitator and students
o Facilitator will lead students in discussion based on the
Questions given which will serve as the basics for
discussion, session can last up to 1 hour.
o Ask random questions, and discuss the answer with the
class, taking notes of other students’ responses & answers
o Facilitator can use padlet (embedded in moodle) to create a
collaborative notesheet (displayed on the screen) as
students find information, fill the padlet and shared their
findings with everyone in the class.

Post Class Session & 1. Formative assessment #1: Class Activity 1


Assessments Students will answer the class activity 1 question, to be submitted
via Brighten prior class discussion.

2. Summative assessment #1: Online Quiz 1


Students will demonstrate mastery of the content through a unit test
/ exam (attached as separate document).
