GLIAC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS October 22, 2011 Brookside Golf Course Transportation: Laker 25 passenger bus. Driver: Grant V What to bring: Asics royal blue coat and pants, new Asics XC coat, new Asics long sleeve top, singlet, shorts. (We will match for GLIACs no speed shorts for some and regular shorts for others). We will also wear the same clothes to preview the course on Friday likely the new Asics long sleeve and shorts or pants. Wear black running pants if it is pants weather. Outside of that the usual, school books, normal clothes, toiletries, pillow.etc. Thursday October 20, 2011: 5pm Depart LSSUs Norris Center. Please eat dinner before we leave. 10:30pm Estimated arrival to hotel. A. Championship Meeting The meeting for coaches, GLIAC staff and Ashland University Championship Staff will be held on: Friday, October 21 at 5 p.m. VIP Room of the Robert Troop Center (on campus; 2nd Floor) Address: 800 Broad Street | Ashland, OH 44805 (parking is available across the street) B. C. Course Location The championships will be held at the Brookside Golf Course Address: 1399 Sandusky Street |Ashland, OH 44805 Phone: 419.289.7933 D. Entry Fee Per school fee is $400.00 ($200, Mens team and $200, Womens team). There will also be a $10 entry fee per individual for the Open Race. Open race participants on the official rosters are eligible to compete in the varsity race, and are included in team entry fee. Checks should be made payable to: Ashland University Athletics. E. Entry procedure/timing system All entries will be submitted through www.finishtiming.com . Coaches will enter all their athletes in the 6K and 8K races. Coaches do not need to declare which 10 will be running the varsity races when entering their teams. They can declare them at the coaches meeting. Entries can be made beginning on Monday, October 10th. Deadline to enter runners is Saturday, October 15th. Finishtiming will provide each team with bib numbers, hip numbers, and pins. Finishtiming will assign the numbers to each athlete. *We will email coaches further instructions for entering your team when the online system is open for entries. F. Results Results will be posted on the Ashland University Athletics and GLIAC websites at the conclusion of the Championship Races. Hard copies will be posted at the course and also provided to Head Coaches during the Awards Ceremony.

G. O. Course Map Attached are the Womens 6K and Mens 8K maps. The course is marked according to GLIAC code with all the mile and 1000 meter marks posted. P. Parking Parking for school vans and other vehicles will be in the parking lots to the right of the clubhouse. Bus parking and additional parking will be in the lots at Brookside West Park (off of Baney Rd./Co. Rd 1153) Q. Inclement Weather The final decision on halting the race due to inclement weather or total postponement will be made by the Conference Championship Committee and the host institution. In the case of inclement weather, Conference Championship Committee and the host institution will determine the appropriate course of action for continuing, delaying or canceling the event. R.
