DURATION OF INTERNSHIP: OCTOBER 30 UP TO DECEMBER 30

This month I have seen system automation. It incorporates the use of broadcast programming
technology to automate broadcasting operations. Used either at a broadcast network, radio
station or a television station, it can run a facility in the absence of a human operator. automation
System has seven main working environments that I saw in different weeks during my work
time.

This week I was sawing how they work in the Ingestion room and Editing room. Ingestion room
is one of the Tapeless workflow elements in which the process of recording media files into a
database center will be done. This task is performed through avid news capture software and an
AVID network. For this task, the chapman gets data from different areas by different
mechanisms. In Preview, the room is one of media automation system rooms in which journalists
see the ingested (original) data and rearrange ingested media files as it needs by using avid
interplay assist software. And also write a script.

This week I was sawing how they work in the Editing room and Audio recorder room. In the
editing room, film or television program is prepared by selecting, rearranging, or rejecting
 previously. The recorder room is in which the sound and video of the journalist are recorded and
edited simultaneously by using Adobe audition software.

Wednesday Server room 27/11/2019

This week I was sawing how they work in the Avid network server and Server room. The AVID
network is a network which link computer to share only data between them. The AVID network
is the landlocked network it cannot be connected to the internet. A server room is a room used to
store, power and operate computer servers and their associated components. This room is part of
a data center, which typical houses several physical servers lined up together in different form
factors, such as rack-mounted, or tower or blade enclosures. In OBN the company uses the ISIS
server system. ISIS is a storage system for video files used by television broadcasters developed
by Avid Technology. It is Infinitely Scalable Intelligent Storage.

Wednesday Revision what I saw back in days 4/12/2019

This week I saw the Studio room and Revision on what I saw back in days. a studio where
broadcasts originate. There are two studios HD studio wich 5 HD cameras with all teleprompter
news reading technology and SD studio have 3 cameras with full SD equipment and installed
before 10 years ago. The system automation staff give me a revision on what we were seeing in a
month.
This month I have seen ICT staff which are enrolled in the work that is stresses the role of
unified communications and the integration of telecommunications (telephone lines and wireless
signals) and computers, as well as necessary enterprise software, middleware, storage, and
audiovisual systems, that enable users to access, store, transmit, and manipulate information. ICT
staff workers also work on any communication devices or applications, radio, television, cellular
phone, computer, and network hardware and software.

This week I saw the Ict server room This room contains some component that is used to give
internet and SMS service to the company. Some component which I saw this week are Filezilla
Server Is a server which used to receive the file from a zone. And Server access control This is a
server which controls access of employee to a different room.

This week I also saw the Ict server room which continuous from last week and I saw Sms server
that is a server which used to store short message comes from the client and it can be accessed
only inside the company. And Security camera server is a computer server that uses a Windows
server 2012 operating system and used to control the environment.

This week I saw the Network sharing system and Maintenance. Network sharing is a feature that
allows resources to be shared over a network by connecting devices to a network server, in this
company all users which have the same domain name or workgroup can share and exchange
information through this network and the software, hardware and network technicians are
responsible for maintenance of any operating system, applications, and hardware and network
problems

Monday FTP (File Transfer Protocol) 30/12/2019

FTP is built on a client-server model architecture using separate control and data connections
between the client and the server. For this purpose, OBN company uses computer application
software called Team Viewer that is used to remotely access customer’s computer and desktop
sharing over the internet to installing the software on the customers' computer.
 CONCLUSION

During my internship program period in OBN, I have got a different theoretical and practical
skill and adapted the real world or working environment. And also I gain Some of the benefits
from internship program which are know the process to automate media file, how to broadcast
media file to airline, how to distribute telephone communication line to user from the server,
how to identify a problem occur on hardware of computer and how we maintain it, how to
sharing network including printer sharing, how to installing different windows.
