NARRATIVE REPORT: MID-YEAR PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND


EVALUATION 2023
Introduction:

This narrative report aims to provide an overview of the School-Based In-Service


Training (INSET) conducted at Matina Pangi National High School (MPNHS) from February
6 to February 10, 2023. The INSET aimed to enhance the professional development of
teachers and improve the overall educational experience for students. The training schedule
was meticulously planned, covering various topics and facilitated by knowledgeable
individuals. The report will outline the activities conducted each day and highlight the key
areas of focus.

Day 1 – February 6, 2023:

The first day of the INSET began with the registration and attendance process
facilitated by the ICT team. Following this, the participants gathered to pay respect to the
nation through the National Anthem. A video presentation by Jerome Z. Justiniani set the
tone for the training, and an opening prayer was conducted. Jamie Nicole S. Malig, the
officer of the day, presented the house rules, while Judiven T. Abadia, the school head,
delivered the welcome address. Sheryl L. Alforque provided the rationale for the training and
introduced the training matrix. A highlight of the day was the message from Isidora C.
Cermino, Ed.D, the Public School District Supervisor of Cluster 2. The morning session
concluded with an icebreaker activity led by the MAPEH Department. In the afternoon,
Jerome Z. Justiniani discussed the results of the General Scholastic Average (GSA) and
Performance Level (PL) for the first and second quarters.

Day 2 – February 7, 2023:

Nelson V. Baldiveso and Anthonette R. Ybñaez took charge as officers of the day.
The day began with registration and attendance followed by a Management of Learning
(MOL) session conducted by Jethro J. Jimenez. The activities of the previous day were
recapped, and Jamie Nicole S. Malig, the School Monitoring and Evaluation and Adjustments
(SMEA) in-charge, presented the corresponding reports. The morning session was dedicated
to the presentation of the school's monitoring and evaluation findings and adjustments. In the

afternoon, Ma. Theresa U. Flores, the Administrative Officer 2, presented the liquidation and
materials procured for FY 2022. This was followed by a discussion on the materials,
equipment, and programs needed for FY 2023, led by Judiven T. Abadia and Jamie Nicole S.
Malig.

Day 3 – February 8, 2023:

Louie Jay E. Helicame and Ruthyln J. Concepcion served as officers of the day. The
day started with registration and attendance, and Nelson V. Baldeviso Jr. conducted the
Management of Learning (MOL) session. The activities of the previous day were recapped,
and Judiven T. Abadia, the school head, facilitated a refresher on the Result-Based
Performance Management System. The afternoon session focused on the review of
commitment targets and accomplishments, calibration of performances, and their
interconnectedness with the curriculum implementation major final output.

Day 4 – February 9, 2023:

On this day, cluster-based sessions were conducted according to specialization,


allowing teachers to delve deeper into subject-specific matters. The details of these sessions

Day 5 – February 10, 2023:

Daryl Joy F. Rosales and Jethro A. Jimenez acted as officers of the day. The morning
began with registration and attendance, followed by a Management of Learning (MOL)
session led by Ruthlyn J. Concepcion. Then we revisited the Professional Development Plan
and we discussed the Implementation of the TPDP.
