Prior learning Dynamic techniques such as crescendo have been covered in the music word
presentation assessment previously and some time has been spent developing
keyboard and other instrumental skills. Stylistically analysis of genre using the
elements of music has been undertaken in class previously
Assessment ASPIRE students will have the opportunity to participate in extension
differentiation activities such as adding effects to existing loops and adjusting the key and
tempo of their composition. SEN students can use

YEAR 7 MUSIC, Task 2: Music Artist Report (7.5%)

We all have heroes; people who inspire us, who we look up to. Your task is to pick one
person in the music industry (a musician, singer, song-writer etc.) and write a report about
them.

Present your findings in a report layout focussing on analysing the elements of music found
in your hero’s work, as well as biographical and social, cultural, historical contextual
information.

Reports need to have a title page, where you could include a picture of your hero, and a
table of contents that specifies each heading you will be collecting information on. Be careful
to follow the Focus Points and Assignment Specifications.
