A. EVIDENCE ACTION MALAWI

Position: PROGRMS IMPLEMENTATION OFFICER

Period: May 2022-May 2023

Overall duties and responsibilities

. Promoting community access to safe water through dispensers for safe water program.

∙ Conducting local stakeholders’ meetings at local and national level.

∙ Conducting waterpoints verification exercises in the targeted villages; during this exercise village head men are
assets who are asked to submit total number of waterpoints in their respective villages.

. Conducting Village Community Sensitization meetings whereby H.S.A and Village headmen help mobilize people
for the meeting. Qualitative and quantitative data is collected during these meetings using surveyCTO and
questionnaires.

. Installation of chlorine dispersers at each and every waterpoint that are in our passlist.

. Conduct WASH facility mapping

∙ Conducting waterpoints end users’ meetings whereby people are educated on how to use the chlorine dispersers,
benefits of using chlorinated water and how to improve their personal hygiene. Surveys are conducted during
these meetings using surveyCTO and questionnaires.

∙ Sending finalized forms to the organization’s server.

. Preparing daily schedules for the field.

. Submitting daily survey reports to the supervisors.

. Carry out any activities as assigned by supervisor.

. Complying with data integrity and security policies.

B. RUNYANGWA AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH STATION

Position: Agriculture Extension Development Officer (Trainee)

Overall duties and responsibilities


∙ Facilitate a process of project planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation of activities.

∙ Assess training needs of field project staff and farmers, plan and provide training provisions.

. Coordinate the implementation and promotion of sustainable agricultural technologies in Champhira EPA in
Mzimba district.

. Coordinate the implementation of good crop and livestock husbandry in order that farmers must achieve
sustainable food and nutrition security through diversified high value food from both crops and livestock.

. Coordinate good extension methods to ensure that farmers adopt soil and water conservation technologies.

. Coordinate veterinary, forestry and health services.

. perform any other duties as assigned by the executive director from time to time.

∙ Agricultural Production Estimate Survey (APES)

∙ Facilitating communities to establish relevant linkages with different stakeholders

∙ Mobilizing communities using participatory and gender sensitive approaches to development
