Document processing converts manual forms and analog data into a digital
format so that these documents can be integrated into day-to-day business
processes. By using a document-processing system to extract data, a
company can digitally replicate the document's original structure, layout, text
and images.

conversion of physical documents and the related forms into digitized form
with the data extraction, thereby arranging it to a relevant structured
format.

 A word processor is a device or computer program that


provides for input, editing, formatting, and output of
text, often with some additional features. Early word
processors were stand-alone devices dedicated to the
function, but current word processors are word
processor programs running on general purpose
computers.

capable of creating, storing, and printing typed
documents. The word processor is one of the

computer, with Microsoft Word being the most
popular word processor.

Toolbar
What is the Quick Access
Toolbar? The Quick Access
Toolbar is a collection of
shortcuts to the features,
options, commands, or option
groups that you use
frequently. By default, the
toolbar is hidden below the
ribbon in Office apps, but you
can choose to show it and
move it to display above the
ribbon instead.
Title Bar
It displays the title of the
currently open document or
application. It is present on
almost all windows displayed
on your computer. So, if there
are several windows across
the screen, you can identify
each window by looking at
the title bar.
Tabs
Tab is the term used for
aligning text in a word
processor by moving the
cursor to a predefined
position. It is part of the
paragraph formatting feature
and usually accomplished
with help of the tab key or
options provided in the word
processor
File Menu
The file menu is one you will
find yourself using extensively.
It is used to create new
documents, open existing
documents and saving your
new/updated documents. It
also includes the page setup,
print preview, and other
important functions relating to
your document and its
properties.
Status Bar
The status bar gives you
important information about
where you are in a document
and which features are
currently enabled. The left
side of the status bar shows
the location of the insertion
point, specifying the page
and section numbers, the
current and total page count
and the line number and
column number.
Toolbar
Ribbon toolbar is a cluster of toolbars
which are used for writing, designing,
formatting and reviewing different
styles, adaptations, add-ins, themes
etc. in a Word Document. These
toolbars are used to perform specific
functions . Every tab in top of a given
word file window displays the Ribbon
toolbar.

The toolbar, also


called bar or standard toolbar, is a row
of buttons, often near the top of an
application window, that
controls software functions. The boxes
are below the menu bar and often
contain images corresponding with
the function they control, as
demonstrated in the image below.
Dialog box
launcher

A dialog box launcher


is a small icon that
appears in a group.
Users click this icon to
open related dialog
boxes or task panes
that provide more
options that relate to
the group.
