Make sure that the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized Ref. AM

Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Ma
terial Ref. 03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened
- (Material Ref. 03GBB1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-Landing Gear Wheel Bearin
g Lithium Thickened - (Material Ref. 03GCB1) on the outer circumference of the pr
(1) otective tool.

NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to R

ef. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00.
(2) Install the PROTECTIVE CONE (J47779) on the wheel axle (6).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (9).
(4) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector (9).
(5) Disconnect the hydraulic quick-release couplings.

CAUTION: TO REMOVE THE HYDRAULIC QUICK-RELEASE COUPLING FRO

M THE BRAKE UNIT, TURN THE LOCKING COLLAR BEFORE YO
U PULL IT AWAY. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION,
YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
Disconnect the hydraulic quick-release couplings (2) and (14) from the brak
(a) e-unit self-sealing couplings (3) and (13).
Do not remove the hydraulic hoses from their hydraulic quick-release coupli
ngs (2) and (14).
Install the PLUG - BLANKING on the hydraulic quick-release couplings (2) and (1
(6) 4).
Remove the nuts (8) with the ADAPTOR (M46292) or with the ADAPTOR - BRAKE
UNIT NUT (98D32403005001) or with a SOCKET - STANDARD, LARGE and remove
(7) the washers (7).
Remove the brake unit (1) with the CRANE 100KG (220 LB) and the HOISTING DE
(8) VICE (F27220000) or HANDLING TOOL (1324A).
If necessary, remove the brake temperature sensor Ref. AMM TASK 32-47-15-000-
(9) 001 and retain it for installation on the new brake unit.

NOTE: If you send the brake unit (1) to the workshop, it is necessary to send th
