1. It is normal to experience bruising, redness, itching, swelling and/or soreness that may last from 2-5 days following your
treatment. You may have a bruise at the blood draw site.
2. Avoid aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Voltaren and other anti-inflammatory medications (NSAID’s) for 3 days
after your procedure (if possible, try for 7 days). If you experience any pain or discomfort, you may take Tylenol or other
Acetaminophen-containing products as directed.
3. Avoid vigorous exercise, sun and heat exposure for at least 3 days after your treatment.
4. Avoid washing your hair for the first 24 hours after the PRP hair growth treatment. This gives the PRP time to penetrate the
scalp and start working its magic. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming for 3 days after your treatment.
5. Use gentle, sulphate-free, PH balanced shampoo when you do eventually wash your hair. Harsh chemicals can strip away the
beneficial effects of the PRP hair growth treatment.
6. Do not use any hair products for at least 6 hours after your treatment.
7. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and smoking for 3 days after treatment (if possible, try for 7 days).
8. Avoid resuming Minoxidil, hair coloring, and straightening for 3 days. Avoid using any styling products (including heat-styling
tools) for at least a week after the treatment.
9. Continue increased water intake the first week after your treatment.
10. Do not use blood thinning agents such as vitamin E, vitamin A, Ginko, Garlic, Flax, Cod Liver Oil, Essential Fatty Acids and at
least one week after your treatment.
11. Eat a healthy diet that is rich in vitamins and minerals (like iron, zinc, vitamin B12, and biotin).
12. When To Contact Your Doctor:
Drainage.
Increased warmth at or around the treated area.
Fever of 38.5 C (101 F) or greater.
Severe pain that is unresponsive to over-the-counter pain relievers.
