GEOREPORT Mudlogging Example

1) The crew drilled from 7010 to 7019 feet and encountered gas shows with a maximum gas reading of 12528 ppm and background gas of 12513/42/2/4+2/1+0 ppm. 2) Activities over the past 24 hours included drilling out cement, running and setting casing, and drilling the rat hole while maintaining mud weights between 8.5 ppg. 3) The geological formation tops were tentatively identified as the Ballena Limestone at 7041 feet based on offset well correlations and prognosis.
