Activity 1.1
CROSS WORD PUZZLE
Directions: Identify what is being asked by referring from the clues given below.

PC ASSEMBLY and DISASSEMBLY
Directions: Follow and perform the given procedures on the checklist provided. Safety
precautions must be observed when working. You will be rated in accordance with the
rubrics provided after the activity

PC Disassembly
Unplug all the cables prior to disassembly.
Remove the right-side panel of the system case.
Remove the system fan.
Remove the CPU fan and heat sink.
Remove the 12v 4-pin and 20/24-pin ATX power supply connector from
the motherboard.
Remove the power connectors of HDD/ODD connected to the power
supply unit.
Remove the power supply unit.
Remove the data cables (IDE/SATA) connected to the HADD/ODD and
motherboard.
Remove the front panel connectors from the motherboard.
Remove the RAM module.
Remove the motherboard.
PC Assembly
Prepare my workplace.
Take inventory of the parts I need to assemble a Desktop PC.
Remove the right-side panel of the system case.
Prepare and review the motherboard manual.
Install the CPU.
Install the CPU heat sink and cooling fan.
Install the RAM modules.
Install the motherboard into the case.
Install the power supply unit.
Install HDD/ODD.
Plug the 12v 4-pin and 20/24-pin ATC power connector to the
motherboard.
Plug the HDD/ODD power connectors.
Plug the data cable (IDE/SATA) to the HDD/ODD and motherboard.
Plug the front panel connectors.
Attach and secure the right-side panel of the system case.
Connecting PC Peripherals
Attach and secure the cable connecting the monitor and the PC.
Connect a keyboard.
Connect a mouse.
Connect an ethernet cable.
Connect the power cable of the PC.
