SET 1 :

PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe your neighborhood.

If anyone asks me "Where do you like to live?". I will smile and answer them that "Nhon Trach Dong Nai
is my hometown and I love the place I was born the most". Dong Nai is an important town in Viet Nam.
It’s near the famous Ho Chi Minh city about 2 kilomet so there are a lot of beautiful sights. My family's
small house is hidden in a deep alley in the heart of the neighborhood. I really like being in my
neighborhood because it's surrounded by restaurants, clothing stores, and cosmetics stores of all different
brands. Big and small shops, selling all kinds of food, there are also elegant cafes tucked away in a
corner. Although the prices of the items sold in the market are not too high, they are hygienic and safe, so
the market is also a familiar place for people in the neighborhood. Near my neighborhood there is a large
ferry terminal that often circulates through the city. It's jam-packed with traffic, which I don't like. To
reduce that noise, I think we should have appropriate time. Thanks for listening.
PART 2 (PARNER): Is it important to establish and maintain a good relationship with your
neighbors? Give reasons and examples to support your view.
Hân: Hey Hoang, how often do you see your neighbor?
Hoang:: Just on the rare occasion, I do see them, it’s normally a simple greeting, nothing more.
Hân: Do you think it is important to have a good relationship with your neighbors?
Hoang: Very much so. Maintaining a close relationship can come in handy now and again. For example,
They can keep an eye on your house when you’re away on holidays. I feel it’s an unwritten rule to help
your neighbors when they need and you know they would return a favor. So in your opinion, what sorts of
problems can occur between neighbors?
Hân: Honestly, the only 2 disputes I've had with my neighbor were concerning too much noise and also
parking. I think living in the city, there are 2 most typical issues that people have to come to terms with
daily.
Hoang: Ah I see, thanks for your opinion.
Han: You too.

SET 2 :
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe your dream house.
If I had to talk about my ideal house, it would be a beautiful house with a peaceful countryside view. My
dream house will have 2 tall floors and a large yard to grow trees. My house will have a round shape and
a modern style in black and white. I am a person who loves growing plants and playing sports in my free
time to reduce stress in life. The house will have 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with a dining table to have meals
with the family every weekend and a living room with a TV for the family to watch movies and play
games. I want to have a dream house because I want my future family to always be close to each other,
share with each other and love each other more. Thanks for listening.
PART 2 (PARNER): Many people living in rural areas would like to migrate to cities while those
living in urban centers wish they could move to the countryside. Which is better: city life or country
life? Give reasons and examples to support your view.
Hân: Hello
Hoàng: Hi
Hân: I have some questions. Can I ask you ?
Hoàng: Of course you can
Hân: These days, many people living in rural areas would like to migrate to cities while those living in
urban centers wish they could move to the countryside. Which you think is better: city life or country life?
Hoàng: Each place has its own conditions and benefits. In city life, you will have more job opportunities
and convenience. Beside, in the country life, there are a lot of plant species so the air and the food are
fresh and clean. You can enjoy a healthy natural condition without worrying much about environmental
pollution.
Hân: I agree with you, but everything has two sides. In the city life, you may have more job opportunities
and convenience, but you must pay a lot of money for convenience. Also, the environmental pollution
problem makes people wanna move out of their city.
Hoàng: In country life, people have less job opportunities, less recreation. They want to have a highly
specialized job, modernization. That is why they don't want a country life.
Hân: It seems everythings is clear. Thank you for giving me your opinion.
Hoàng: You welcome

SET 3
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe a memorable trip you had.
During the summer vacation when I was 15 years old, my whole family took me on a trip to Con Dao. It
was a memorable trip for me. I still remember that at that time my family was very large, about 20 people,
including my parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and our whole family went by boat. That day was a very
beautiful day, but when we got on the boat about halfway, it started to storm heavily. My family was very
scared, but the storm passed and we arrived at Con Dao. I went to Con Dao to visit and learn the ancient
history of Ms. Vo Thi Sau, a heroic young woman who sacrificed for her country. The trip was
memorable for me because when I went to Con Dao, I learned about the brutality and oppression of the
old war. I cried because I heard the stories about that history, it was very scary and brutal. Thanks for
listening.
PART 2 (PARNER): Some people prefer to go on a guided tour when they travel while others
prefer to travel alone. Which do you think is better? Give reasons and examples to support your
view.
Hân: Ugh what should i do?
Hoàng: Hi Vy, how's it going?
Hân: Oh hi Quan, i’m thinking about booking a guided tour or travel alone for my vacation.
Hoàng: Oh I see, if I were you, I would travel alone.
Hân: Why?
Hoàng: Because it’ll make you feel free to explore, you can do anything you want, visit everywhere you
want to go,
Hân: Hmm ok, but i think a guided tour is comfortable. Like if this is your first time traveling to this city,
you don’t know where to go, a guided tour will lead you, and it’s safe too.
Hoàng: Hmmm, guided tours are kinda inconvenient sometimes, you have to follow their tour, somes
places that look so boring but you still have to come, it’s really odd, oh another reason is that you have to
go with a lot of people, and i don’t like that.
Hân: That’s make sense, thank you for your opinion Vy.
Hoàng: You’re welcome.

SET 4
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe a memorable event in your life.
There are a number of memorable events in my life that I can mention. Among them, I want to talk about
my first singing competition at school. This is an event that I still remember very clearly. At first, my
friends invited me to sing but I did not agree because I was very scared. I did not dare to stand in front of
a crowd, nor was I confident with myself. But because my friends begged and wanted me to try, I finally
accepted. The first time I stood on a big stage, I was really scared. I was shaking so much that I couldn't
sing. But when everyone around me was clapping and cheering, shouting "do your best", I closed my eyes
and sang. My voice made everyone suddenly silent, and applause suddenly broke out. After singing, I
received a lot of compliments from everyone. That's why this is a very memorable event in my life.
Thanks for listening.
PART 2 (PARNER): Things were different in the past and they have changed a lot in the last few
decades. Are the changes positive or negative? Give reasons and examples to support your view

Hân: Hello
Hoàng: Hi
Hân: I have some questions. Can I ask you ?
Hoàng: Of course you can
Hân: You know, things were different in the past and they have changed a lot in the last few decades,
right ?
Hoàng: Yes I see. So ?
Hân: So what do you think, are the changes positive or negative?
Hoàng: I think both. Let's talk about positives. : the development of the world economy, social security is
high. World peace is established.
Hân: About negative ?
Hoàng: First, there is a population boom. The development of the world economy makes the population
increase in an uncontrolled way. That leads to a lot of problems like poor people, lack of land,.... The
second is environmental pollution. Today, a large number of factories have been built, leading to a huge
amount of waste that needs to be dealt with. However, many factories lack sewage treatment systems, so
most of the waste is dumped directly into rivers or lakes.
Hân: I agree with you. In addition, oil spills from tanker ship accidents also contribute to ocean
population, which kills thousands of seabirds and sea animals. Furthermore, some people even dispose of
the waste and throw trash into lakes and rivers. These actions are ideal conditions for bacterial, viral and
parasitic diseases. They are spreading through polluted water and affecting human health.
Hoàng: I think we are changing more negative than positive.

SET 5
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe a useful tech item you have.
I have purchased many technology products and most notably my phone. That is the iPhone 7Plus, the
first special product line on the Apple market that is red and can be considered Apple's masterpiece. This
phone is quite special to me, this is a gift from my brother who gave it to me when I passed the transfer
exam. I really like this phone and I carry it with me every day, I often use it to run lessons every day. I
think this device is useful to me because it's quite small and it's very convenient, I can carry it with me so
I can listen, make phone calls or when I'm sad I can use it to read books or watch movies. movies, and
most of all I can do my homework whenever I need it.
PART 2 (PARNER): Things were different in the past and they have changed a lot in the last few
decades. Are the changes positive or negative? Give reasons and examples to support your view.

Hân: I hate my teacher.

Hoàng: You look so angry, what happened?
Hân: My teacher, she doesn’t allow us to use smartphones in the classroom, and I don't like it.
Hoàng: Why? I think it’s good to make you focus on studying.
Hân: No, I really need it to research information that I don't have in books, it helps me so much in
studying.
Hoàng: Well you can find it at home, and maybe that’s not just you use it to study, some students use it to
play games, do other stuff in class and don’t focus on studying, that’s not good.
Hân: oh, you're right, thank you for let me know it
Hoàng: No problem, and don’t hate your teacher anymore
Hân: All right.

SET 6
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe a website that you often use.
A website I always use in studying is learning English.com. I found out about this website because a close
friend introduced it to me. My friend is quite good at technology, so when I told him that I wanted to
practice English communication, my friend introduced it to me. When I visit the website, I learn more
vocabulary and how to listen, speak, and write. I can test many times to memorize vocabulary without
being banned or wasting time. I think it's a pretty good and useful website for me because I've learned a
lot of words and practiced speaking.
PART 2 (PARNER): Which is better: shopping online or purchasing in stores? Give reasons and
examples to support your view.
Hoang: Hello Han, how are you doing?
Han: hello, I'm fine these days
Hoang: Do you often shop?
Han: I often shop, I like it
Hoang: Do you usually shop online or in stores?
Han: I prefer to shop online rather than buy at the store.
Hoang: Why do you prefer to shop online?
Han: I find shopping online more convenient. Just stay home and it will be delivered to your door, and
you can also hunt for many promotional discount codes to buy at bargain prices
Hoang: Oh I'm the same as you. Thanks for the answer
Han: nothing

SET 7
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe one of your best friends during your school days.
If someone asks me about my best friend, I will smile and reply that "Minh Tuyet is my best friend". I
met Tuyet when I was in 7th grade. My teacher arranged to sit next to her. She is very friendly, cheerful
and always a positive person. She has a well-proportioned appearance, a small face with narrow eyes. She
has short black hair and bright eyes. Every time I'm sad, she's by my side to encourage and share.
Whenever we have free time, we spend time together watching movies or talking to reduce stress. I think
she is an important person, not just a close friend, but I see her as a sister and always share when I'm tired.
PART 2 (PARNER): Which type of friends is more important: high school friends or college
friends? Give reasons and examples to support your view.
Hoang: Hello Han
Han: Oh hello, it's been a long time
Hoang: I want to ask you something, is it okay? Han: feel free to ask anything
Hoang: Do you think college friends or high school friends are important?
Han: I think high school friends are more important because we will study together for 3 years in high
school. There will be more memories. Because college friends may only see each other for a few months.
Hoang: I feel the same way, just like you and I only see each other occasionally
Han: I have to go to school, see you later
Hoang: see you again

SET 8:
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe a school / university you have studied in
I am studying at Ho Chi Minh University of Economics and Finance. This is a school with 2 main
campuses located in Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City. The school is quite high, about 24 floors
high and is equipped with an elevator. Not only that, each classroom is very large and can accommodate
more than 50 students, but for the benefit of students, each class only has about 20 students per class. . I
have studied at this school for 2 years. This school is my dream. I want to become a good businessman, so
I chose this school because it has the most experienced teachers who can easily teach me if I need to. I do
not know. The school has many useful playgrounds for students such as sports, singing, acting or business
playgrounds to help students experience more about the career they are aiming for. I really like my
school.
PART 2 (PARNER): Do you think computers will one day replace teachers in the classroom? Give
reasons and examples to clarify your perspective
Hoang: Hello Han
Han: Oh hello, long time no see
Hoang: As technology develops, what do you think if computers will replace teachers in class?
Han: I think computers will replace teachers because teachers deliver the same content to the whole class,
so students may not be able to absorb all the knowledge.
Hoang: What if computers will help students learn better?
Han: Accurate learning can immediately learn the parts you don't understand and can continue studying
without interrupting your learning.
Hoang: I also think so. Perhaps in the future, bringing computers into classrooms will be quick
Han: I hope so too

SET 9
PART 1 ( MYSELF): Describe a job which you think is perfect for you.
Since childhood, my friends often asked me about my future dream job. I thought and always wanted to
become a singer. The reason I like singers so much is because I love to sing and I hope people will hear
my voice and relax and reduce stress. To become a singer, I think I have to practice self-confidence,
public communication skills, and most of all, my voice must be very inspiring. I think that if I could
become a good singer, I would go everywhere to sing and bring a clear voice to help people be positive,
reduce stress and relax after a hard day. I will accumulate more experience in order to become a famous
singer in the future.
PART 2 (PARNER): Should college students have a part-time job while studying full-time? Give
reasons and examples to support your view.
Hoang: helo
Han: Oh hello
Hoang: Do you have a part-time job while studying?
Han: I have I'm working at McDonald's
Hoang: Do you think students should work part-time?
Han: I think if you have free time, you should work part-time. If you study too much, you shouldn't
Hoang: Why is that?
Han: Because if you have free time, working part-time can help you earn more money and gain
experience
Hoang: So if you're too busy, you shouldn't work part-time because it will affect your studies
Han: Exactly, I work and it helps me with many things, but studying is still top priority
Hoang: Thank you for the talk

I want to talk about a group project that I participated in last semester at UEF university. Our team has six

it to customers. Within 1 month, we had to find the needs and survey customers' opinions and then chose

customers and protect the environment by reducing pollution. After having the product, we were very
pleased and happy to have created a product that can help society.

Han: I will also choose it, because being an employee will enjoy many benefits
Hoang: Thank you for the talk
