To my beloved wife and dear sister, who have always supported me in all my
writings, poetry and prose, and unleashed my imagination to wander the paths
of imagination to all minds seeking to break the boundaries of the mind to the
breadth of imagination.
It was 7:00 am in Washington, DC where cleaners were on the sides of the
busy street, people were on their way to work .
Near one of the squares, a homeless young man was sitting on the sidewalk,
and his knees were pushed against his chest, staring at the third graders, as
they look up at the sky from the windows of their buses. The atmosphere was
wonderful and the sun was shining. In 1600 Pennsylvania Street, one of the
city's largest and most important streets, thunderbolts struck close to the
ground reflecting the shadows of people, forming an aura of electric light
around them shocked by lightning strikes, and the shadows rose from them,
as if on a electric cardiac resuscitation device leaving them to an unknown
location.
People began to lose their shadows, one after the other. The bus stopped in
front of the school, and the students were coming out of it, rushing towards its
door. When they crossed the outer gate, their shadows were struck by a
thunderbolt from the back, so they separated from them without them noticing
it.This Phenomenon spread widely . A young man wearing a tracksuit and
earphones and listening to his favorite music was exercising in the morning in
the park near his home, and suddenly
his shadow left him and walked in the opposite direction .
Likewise, a woman was standing in front of her home before going to work
admiring her slender body, dressed in elegant clothes with her hands on her
hips admiring her shadow with confidence, but she saw it suddenly
withdrawing from in front of her. Filled with fear, she cried and fainted.
In the backyard of a house, a four-year-old boy was stalking his shadow which
left him and ran away.
At the outskirts of the city, too, in one of the humble houses, a young man
named Zorro was standing in front of a bathroom mirror shaving his beard
while singing in his cacophonous voice. "Silence, please. Why are you not
convinced that your voice only works in horror movies, please keep it to
yourself," his wife told him from the outside, but he smiled, saying:
"You do not appreciate talents,"
and continued singing. At this moment while he was singing, his shadow left
him to sing alone. In the mirror, he saw a blue fly buzzing over his head, so he
turned towards it and chased it with the bath towel until he dropped it. He then
bent over and grabbed it between his fingers as he looked at it with wonder,
as he had never seen this kind of flies before. Suddenly he had an electric
shock which made him drop it and cry in pain:
"Damn you nasty fly."
People everywhere were losing their shadows dramatically without knowing
the reason behind this phenomenon.
This led many specialists to research the causes and the mysterious secret
behind this phenomenon.
This news spread on TV through many local and international channels, and
on social media. The disappearance of shadows had become the talk of
people all around the world.
In one of the big companies interested in manufacturing and developing
weapons, there was a meeting to pursue innovative ideas in self-defense
systems and protection of VIPs from assassinations.
Adam, a twenty-five-year-old handsome young man of average height who
lived alone in a two-story house. He lost his parents when he was ten after a
sad road accident. He was working in the Innovation and Development
Department, and was sitting at the meeting table discussing some technical
matters with a group of his colleagues and his direct manager, so the director
asked him:

- "What is new in your project?"

- "I have finished it. I will report to you everything in detail next Thursday."
- "Well, I hope it is a new addition to us." He then looked at his watch
- "Well, the meeting is over. Good luck to all of you."
Then he got up to leave. Adam got out from the meeting room after saying
goodbye to his colleagues.
- "See you tomorrow."
Then he left the company heading to his house, and He got there at 10:00 AM.
The door of the house opened automatically after it recognized his face. He
sat in the living room on his chair while eating some salted cashews watching
what was going on with mockery via satellite channels disbelieving what
people were talking about regarding the disappearance of shadows.
The phone rang interrupting his thoughts, so he reached to it and glanced at it.
He immediately answered. It was a call from his beloved, Sarah, a twenty-
one-year-old blonde, blue-eyed young woman who was studying at a
university specialized in software.

"Hi, Sarah, you must have finished your lecture?"

- "Yes, I have just finished it. Have you finished your meeting?"
"Yes I have already finished it, and I am at home now."
Then he reminded her of their date at 11:00 in the shooting club. They share
some hobbies; they both like shooting, free jumping, and some martial arts.
Then he said goodbye to her:
- "Take care, my love. I love you."
Adam put the phone back and went to the kitchen, where he heated a cup of
milk and fried two eggs. He then put them on a small tray with some toast and
left the kitchen. He opened the door of his house and went to the opposite
house, Mrs. Margaret's house, a seventy-five-year-old woman of Italian
origins, she and her husband lived all their lives in this house and remained
alone after he passed away five years ago leaving her with no children. Her
health condition was poor. She barely moved to go to the toilet. Adam took
care of her from time to time.
Adam stood in front of her house and started gently knocking on the door
calling out:
- "Mrs. Margaret." - "Mrs. Margaret."

Then he waited for a few seconds and knocked on the door again. She
opened with a smile: "Here comes Adam with breakfast. Oh you are such a
good cook! Come on in."
Adam entered with her, and she continued:
- "I am addicted to the food you make. I don't know what would have
happened to me without you."
He put the food on the table and said:
- "It's my pleasure. This is only some of what you and Uncle Lewis did to me, I
will not forget your kindness with me since my parents passed away."
- "Yes, Adam. I remember that day fifteen years ago, as if it were yesterday.
They were really amazing."
Adam seemed sad; he always looks sad whenever he remembers them. The
old lady noticed that, so she cheered him:
- "I won't be able to resist this sweet smell. Come and share breakfast with
me."
- "No, I've just had breakfast. I beg your pardon, I have an appointment
shortly."
- "Okay, I will wait you for dinner so that we eat together the macaroni that you
like."
Adam smiled:
"Oh Mrs. Margaret's famous macaroni, I will definitely come for it."

At a private and secret NSA building, a group of scientists specializing in

natural phenomena and sciences, were in a closed meeting trying to explain
what was happening.
While viewing the camera recordings of separate cases of the disappearance
of shadows on special displays, something strange caught their attention. In
all the cases they saw, thunderbolts were a common and frequent factor. The
strangest thing that surprised them and raised their questions was that after
zooming in on all the thunderbolts they found that the source of these
thunderbolts was strange flies in the size of a bee, whose color is bluish with
light charges in back of the abdomen. They also had antennas over their eyes,
emitting a visible electrical current that affected only the shadows.
So one of the scientists suggested:
- "I think the solution to this issue lies in the secret of these blue flies."
And another said:
- "No, I do not think so. Perhaps this phenomenon is due to an imbalance in
the amount of ultraviolet and infrared rays from the sun."
Another interrupted saying:

"Perhaps the reason is the emitted light, its magnitude and its reflections."
However, one of the scientists seemed to be unconvinced of these
conclusions, so he stood up in protest:
- "In fact... I have no precise scientific explanation for what is happening, so
what is going on is something strange outside the realm of the science we
have learned." The voices were raised without a logical solution for what was
going on.
At about 11:00 at noon, Adam met Sarah in the shooting club, and they
embraced. He grabbed her hand and said:
- "Are you ready?"
- "Yes, I am so ready."
Then, they went to the shooting range, where she put the sound masking
headphones and grabbed a pistol.
Adam stood behind her, and he adjusted her feet to the right position,
teaching her some professional rules in shooting. Adam is a master
marksman.
Sarah took aim at some figures, and hit them imperfectly. Adam took out a
matchstick from his pocket and headed towards one of the figures. He placed
the matchstick over the target's head so that the matchstick's head was up. He
returned to his place and shot rapidly and perfectly until he lit

the matchstick! Sarah looked at him with a wide smile.

- "This is incredible! Awesome! Unbelievable!"
She applauded him, and he bowed to her, whispering to her ear:
- "You must do it next time."
Then they went out together to a nearby restaurant.
And when they arrived at 11:30 AM, they sat at the table to have lunch. The
waiter took the menu after they chose. Then they chatted and Adam asked
her:
- "How are you coping with your university studies?"
She said:
- "Fine. I try to focus more this period, as you know this is my final year."
- "Yes, you must do your best, so that we devote the summer for vacation."
- "Hmmm, what do you think of a trip to the pyramids? I am really eager to see
and inspect them on the ground?"
- "Amazing idea, what do you think of chartering a plane and free jumping
together over there?"It would be bonkers.
Then they talked about what people are saying about the phenomenon of the
disappearance of shadows.

- "It's very strange, and I think that the is a secret behind it!"
Adam laughed:
- "Nonsense, who would believe this nonsense?"
Then he looked at his shadow, mocking it:
- "Hey, you! Please stay where you are. Do not leave without letting me
know." Then they laughed together. After they finished their lunch, they left the
restaurant, to hang out in a street near his home until they reached it. He
invited her to come in with him to show her his invention after he finished it.
Adam was working on his own project to protect VIPs from assassinations.
He called it MTO97. It was a bedroom monitored by the cameras both inside
and outside, equipped with high-precision alarms that operated in the event of
penetration from any foreign body, and contained a bed that opened
automatically in emergencies and shut its doors and turned into a sealed
cellar.
Below it, there was a large airbag, which ended with a latch that led to a large
air-conditioned room, fully fortified against all natural disasters and attacks,
and the room was equipped with control systems through many
computers, connected to a group of smart cameras and machine guns. It is
also equipped with oxygen, batteries, water, some food, a first aid kit, a
bathroom, two beds, an electric generator, a large fridge, and satellite phones.
It also contained an electric elevator in the form of a wardrobe, in case one
needed to enter and exit it as an alternative to the bed. And it could be
controlled from inside the room. It was also equipped with advanced defense
systems: such as automatic sniping and auto reload.
Adam opened the front door and they entered the reception room, and from
there to the room where his invention was located. Then Sarah spotted on the
opposite wall of the wardrobe a collection of photographs of them when they
were shooting, jumping off a plane, and other pictures of them in gyms.
Adam began to explain what his invention was, and after finishing his
explanation in practice, they went out together to the living room.
Suddenly a thunderbolt struck their shadows, and they looked at them silently
and in anticipation, then Adam turned to Sarah with his pupils dilated

and his mouth open from amazement, as he saw her shadow moving out of
the room, and after a few moments Adam’s shadow left the room, too. It stood
for a moment and turned to Adam before it ran away.
Sarah, astonished, was looking around, but she and did not find her shadow.
Her fear increased; she felt that something bad would happen to them. Adam
tried to calm her, so he held her in his arms, placed her head on his chest, and
said:
"Do not worry, we will be okay."
Sarah began to recover her quick breaths, and then Adam remembered Malik,
the owner of the old library, whom he used to tell Sarah about very often. He
thought for a few seconds and then said:
- "We have to go immediately to Malik."
Malik was in his old library, two streets from Adam's home. Adam and Sarah
left the house quickly, heading towards the street leading to the library, filled
with fear and awe, and having many questions in their eyes.
Indeed, immediately after their arrival at 1:00 Pm, they entered to find Malik
sitting in his classic chair, wearing his black coat and his thick glasses. He
was busy reading a book, what else would a seventy-year-old brown-skinned
man be doing? He spent his life reading thousands of scientific, literary and
historical books. Adam came up to him: "Hello, uncle Malik."
Malik greeted him:
- "Welcome Adam, how are you? Have a seat."
Adam and Sara sat across from his desk. Then he invited them to have some
coffee
They thanked him:
-"We came to you for something important and urgent!"
- "OK. I am listening."
Adam started:
- "Certainly you have heard about the disappearance of shadows?"
Malik smiled an incomplete smile, then his mind wandered off silently.
- "Yes, I heard and watched what was happening. It really seems disastrous.
Look at me well, didn't you notice anything different this time?"
- "Yes, you grew older and a little senile."
Malik smiled saying:

- "I don't mean this because everyone notices that I and my library have grown
old, but you seem to lack observation. I lost my shadow two days ago."
Adam looked at him and looked carefully, and he looked surprised, as he
really did not see his shadow. - "So this is an epidemic that spreads like
wildfire!"
Sarah interrupted them addressing Malik:
"What do you think about what is going on? I know you have a mind that can
explain to us what is happening. Adam told me a lot about you."
Malik took a deep breath:
- "Listen well! I read in an ancient book that in the time of the ancient
Egyptians there was a king called Thutmose III. He was considered the
greatest ruler of Egypt and the most powerful emperor in history. In one of the
battles in which he was victorious, the sky was cloudy, rain fell heavily, and
the sound of thunder terrified men.
Thunderbolts were terrifyingly close to the ground. Meanwhile, the king was
hit by a thunderbolt that made him lose his shadow, and his first minister tried
to bring it to him, but he could not. However, the Grand Wizard, who coveted
the throne, managed to reach the king's shadow and made a deal with it.
He convinced it that he would help it gain the strength of matter, and obtain
the (Ackin) Royal Amulet, which would give it the power of darkness of the
underworld and immortality, and in return the shadow would help him get rid of
the king and sit on the throne. The shadow listened to him and nodded
indicating that it had accepted his offer. Then the Grand Wizard informed him
of the necessity of his presence on the day of the king's commemoration of his
assumption of the throne, and to match itself with the shadow of the Sphinx.
Indeed, the ceremony was at the foot of the pyramids on the night of the full
moon, so the Grand Wizard came carrying the (Ackin) Amulet for Thutmose III
to wear as part of the ceremony, but before he reached him, he reflected the
moonlight through it on the shadow of the king as it matched itself with the
shadow of the Sphinx, so the shadow took physical form after it possessed
material strength.
Then he set out towards the king holding a spear that he took from one of the
guards after he killed him. He killed the king's guards and his minister with
strong and exact stabs, taking advantage of his high skill in martial arts, in
addition to his ability to switch from shadow to material form and vice versa.
Then, he shot the spear firmly in the heart of Thutmose III. He approached him
to take the royal ring from his index finger, which was in the form of a golden
scarab through which the king controlled the scarabs and the royal blue flies.
Ancient Egyptians used scarabs to write spells and talismans, as well as they
used blue flies in lighting tombs. Then, he stretched out his hand, took the
amulet from around the king's neck, and put on his neck. Then he said to the
Grand Wizard:
"Now that I have finished what we agreed on, I will go somewhere for a while,
but I will be back. Try to enjoy your rule before it is too late."
Then he left to a cave, and it is said that he called himself Simawi, King of
Shadows.
Sarah said:
- "And do you think what is happening now has something to do with this
myth?"
Malik replied:
- "I think many irrational matters can be explained by reading history."
Adam said:
- "Indeed, it is unreasonable to explain what is illogical with logic!" Then the
two lovers stood up preparing to leave after thanking him. Adam said to Malik:
- "We have to go to the FBI now."
At the same moment, there was a huge army of human shadows at the foot of
the pyramids at the night of the full moon. Simawi came out of his enormous
cave wearing his large red cloak, on his head an ancient bronze crown, and
around his neck the amulet of King Thutmose III, heading towards the
shadows followed by huge swarms of blue flies. He then stood on a high rock
addressing them:
- "O shadows, now after thousands of years I have been able to free you from
the mortal human bodies, so that you may be freed forever from this
monotonous and subordinate prison. Since then, I have worked to know the
secret of your liberation from your bodies.
After thousands of attempts and experiments, I found the electric force of the
thunderbolt that liberated me from the body of Thutmose III. I worked on
learning the amount of electric force of the thunderbolt that liberated me, and
by injecting blue flies with (Luciferin) , and many experiments I managed to
find out." (Then he pointed at the army of blue flies).
"These are the swarms that I sent to liberate you. Now, you can do whatever
you want, but you are still just shadows. You do not have the power to change
anything in this world. You have nothing to use to express yourselves. You
don't even have voice, so you have to gain the power of matter to have bodies
to use for moving.

Today the moon is almost full, all you have to do is match yourselves with the
shadow of the Guardian of Heaven and Earth."
The shadows nodded to show their obedience to the orders of Simawi. In the
matter of moments the moon was full, and a quick flash appeared in the eyes
of the Sphinx. The shadows began to pass by matching themselves with its
shadow, and a yellow light was reflected from the (Ackin) Amulet to the
shadow of the Sphinx. The shadows gained the strength of matter. Then they
rose from the ground like a demonic plant. In the form of thick smoke, then
they took physical shapes and had black carbon bodies; their eyes and lips
yellow with varying sizes, some of them were huge, some of them were
dwarfish, and some were medium. Each shadow has acquired the image in
which it left its human body.
They became able to speak and feel themselves and their surroundings and
hold things. They tasted the taste of freedom and gained strength for the first
time. All shadows chanted in a high and frightening voice:
- "Simawi, Simawi, is our great king."
Then he signaled them with his hand, and everyone stopped chanting. He
resumed his speech: - "Now we are the strongest, we are the ones who
deserve to fill this land. Everyone go now, and let each of you get rid of its
human body."

Everyone turned from their physical form to the shadow form. Then, they left
like the fog, so that each one of them performed their mission in the manner
appropriate to them.
Adam and Sarah walked out of the library and took a taxi. Adam asked the
driver to take them to the FBI. Indeed, they arrived at the building at 1:45 PM
and hurried towards its main door, where they met the security officer and told
him that they wanted to provide dangerous information about the phenomenon
of the disappearance of shadows. Then they asked to meet with the chief of
investigations, so the security officer called his boss who told him search them
and then let them in to see him. After being searched, they were admitted to
the Chief's office. The Chief was called Edward, a man in his fifth decade
sitting behind his big desk with a frown on his face and in a hurry. He said to
them:
- "What do you have?"
Adam narrated the discussion between them and Malik about the
phenomenon of the disappearance of shadows and the story of Simawi.
Meanwhile, Malik's shadow entered the library, but Malik saw it sneak to him
so he said:

- "Welcome back again, I know that you came to kill me as your master
commanded you.”
The shadow took physical form in front of him and approached him saying:
"You have wasted your life in this dilapidated library. You have read
thousands of books that will not help you now in anything. I am sick of this
dreary place!" He headed towards a bookshelf, held a book on philosophy
and another about history and threw them on the ground. Then he grabbed a
big old volume with wooden cover, and quietly returned to Malik while he was
still sitting behind his desk. Malik told him:
- "We both wasted our lives here, but it seems that you have learned nothing
during this long period. It suffices for me to know how to destroy your likes!"
His shadow laughed sarcastically:
- "Destroy us? You old delusional man."
Then it strangled him and threw him on his desk:
"We will now see who among us will prevail, and who among us will destroy
the other."
He hit him on the head with the wooden folder, repeatedly and quickly

until his skull was smashed and blood burst from it flooding the desktop. It left
the folder over his head, the folder was titled Simawy, King of Shadows.
Meanwhile, chaos has spread all over the world. A woman's shadow slipped
into the pool of her home while she was lying on her back over an air mattress
relaxing and enjoying the warm sunlight. She jumped from the mattress and
swam.
Her shadow came under her while it was in the shadow form, but she did not
notice it. Suddenly it turned to the physical form, and she saw a foreign body
swimming under her. Her eyes were filled with fear as she screamed to try to
escape and save herself, but her shadow did not give her the chance. It pulled
her to the bottom of the pool while she was hitting the water with her hands
and feet firmly trying to save herself, but it soon tightened its grip around her
neck until her lungs ran out of oxygen and exhaled her last breath after all her
escape attempts failed. Then the shadow came out using the pool ladder
leaving her floating body next to her air mattress.
In a marble factory, a shadow walked in on one of the workers while he was
operating a water saw. It turned it off and then advanced towards its human
body, punching him with until he passed out. The shadow put him on table
emptied in the middle, and tied both his hands and feet to its ends and pulled
the table under the saw. It went to the computer that controlled the saw, set it,
and turned it on. It started spouting water with great force. The worker
regained consciousness from the intensity of the sound of the water emitted
from the saw. He pleaded to his shadow to let him live, but the bursting water
hit his back penetrating it and coming out from his stomach as he screamed.
The man died affected by his wounds. His blood was everywhere and made
vague shapes on his back.
The saw automatically stopped after it had finished its job leaving pieces of
flesh to drop on the floor with all the viscera. The shadow had programmed
the saw to write the name of its master "Simawi" on the back of the poor man.
A shadow entered to Zorro who has an annoying voice while he was alone in
his kitchen, preparing a cup of coffee and his cacophonous voice filling the
house. The shadow took physical form behind him and opened one of the
kitchen drawers.

At this moment, Zoro turned upon hearing the sound from the opening of the
drawer to see his shadow behind him picking up a kitchen knife. He walked
back trying to save himself .His hand slammed into the hot cup of coffee
burning them. He then shouted in pain:
- "Who are you? And what do you want from me, you freak?"
However, his shadow immediately stabbed him in the chest. Then it pulled him
from his hair violently, pulling the knife out of his chest. It then tightened its
fingers on his throat until its fingers touched one each other, and it ripped it
off, looked at it disgustingly, threw it on the ground and stomped it saying
mockingly:
- "We will miss your sweet voice, buddy."

In one of the carpentry workshops in the alleys of the city, a shadow entered
on its human while he was engaged in his work fixing a table with nails on its
surface. The shadow grabbed a small hammer, and then slipped straight
behind the unaware man and struck him with a blow to the back of his head.
The worker fell to the ground unconscious. Moments later he started to restore
consciousness only to find his head pressed in the wood-joining machine lying
on his back with his face up unable to move; his shadow fixed his hands with
iron nails to a wooden table. The man screamed in pain, while his shadow left
to bring the glue pot from the stove, heading towards him saying:
- "Good morning."
The worker screamed again, calling for help and pleading with his shadow in
tears:
- "Do not kill me, I beg you, I have a family waiting for me."
The shadow poured the hot glue on his face:
- "Yes, they're waiting for you, but not in this world. Enjoy a hot bath."
The man's face burned, which caused him to suffocate and die immediately.
On a street, a shadow strangled his human as he was driving his car, which
made the car swerve, crashing into a truck, causing many cars to crash and
dozens of casualties.

And in a house 50 miles away from the city, a shadow entered to a disabled
woman as she telephoned her friend Marcel and the loud TV sounded all over
the house. The shadow entered into the kitchen crawling, and then it climbed
the gas pipe. It put its left hand on the stove after it lit it until it turned red. Then
it went out to her dragging its atrophied feet while it blew on its burning hand
making it glow redder with embers flying from its fingers. It approached her
from behind without her seeing him. She said to her friend, Marcel:
"I smell something burning! It seems that something is burning!"
The shadow put its hand on the phone, which melted under its burning fingers
and then turned to her. When the old woman saw him, she screamed loudly
and dropped the phone from her hand. It said:
-. "Do you still call Marcel, old woman? Her shadow must have not reached
her yet!"
Then it pulled her towards him, making her fall from her wheelchair and
strangled her with his inflamed hand. Its fingers sunk into her neck while she
groaned and screamed in pain. It continued:
-."Go to hell! I have always been imprisoned with you in this room." and left
her dead body.
In the largest sheep slaughterhouse in the city, two shadows entered to two
workers as they prepared to get out of the slaughterhouse after they finished
their work. The two shadows severely beat them until they were completely
exhausted. Then they
put them on the conveyor belt intended for the slaughtering of sheep after they
tied their hands and feet behind their back, and gagged their mouths. Then,
one of the two shadows ran the belt to complete the slaughter process. The
belt brought them closer to their inevitable fate while they were trying to
release their ties, but to no avail. The shadow assumed the role of the workers
in the slaughterhouse; the first one stood with an electric stun to shock them
unconscious. The second shadow slaughtered them with a sharp knife. Blood
exploded, staining his face. At the most important police station stood a group
of nine shades in preparation for storming it, so their leader addressed them:
- "There are many more humans here than us! None of us is bound to his
human; we must help each other in order to get the job done."
Then they sneaked into the police station in their shadow forms. Some police
officers noticed that their shadows had returned as they were.
Catherine, the beautiful officer, said to her colleagues with joy:
- "Here are the shadows back to us! It seems that what happened is
exceptional!"
 Another group of policemen looked at the opposite side to see that their
shadows had really returned,

But soon Catherine noticed a strange thing; there is a clear difference

between their bodies and the shadows, her shadow looks like a man’s shadow
and her colleague’s shadow looks like a woman’s shadow! And some of them
still without their shadows. She thought for a moment trying to explain what
she had seen and it was clear that she was startled. She addressed her
colleagues trying to warn them of what she had noticed:
- "Hey guys! Look at the shadows, did you notice anything?"
And while they were staring at their shadows, they took the physical form and
carried out a surprise attack.
A shadow snapped the neck of one of the officers after he twisted it forcefully
in a circular motion. The rest of the shadows directly clashed with all the
members of the police station, which became a scene of attack and retreat.
The battle ended with the shadows subduing all the policemen and
handcuffing their hands behind their backs. They dumped them in the
detention cell leaving only Catherine outside. A shadow approached the
detention cell with 4 hand grenades which he then fixed on the bars of the
detention cell, and linked the detonation rings with a fine wire passing from the
top of the cell fence, tied with an iron weight. He then asked another shadow
to bring Catherine.

He removed her handcuffs, instructing her to raise her hands high. Frightened,
she complied. He then put the weight between her hands, so she looked
carefully to see the wire tightened; she was sure that if it fell from her hands,
the detonation would inevitably happen. Then the shadows left the station.
Catherine resisted with all of her remaining strength, but she began to
collapse and her colleagues told her:
- "Hold on, help will come."
But she gradually lost control, then she said:
- "I'm so sorry I can't stand it anymore!"
The weight fell, pulling the grenades' rings, and a large boom followed. The
bodies were torn apart, leaving behind a hideous massacre.
At this time, a phone call came to Edward to inform him of the chaos that
occurred and the killings and disasters caused by the shadows. The situation
is going out of control, so the President declared martial law across the
country.
Edward hung up the phone, then he looked at Adam and his features have
changed and he seemed annoyed. He sensed a great danger coming soon
and then he said:
- "It happened!"
He stood tense and put on his coat in a hurry, then put his pistol behind his
back:
- "We have to go to Malik right Now!"
Indeed, they all left the FBI building to get into one of the police cars heading
to the library, where they saw on their way the chaos that prevailed in many
areas.
The car stopped in front of the library at 2:15 PM, and they all ran out to her
door. As soon as they entered, they found murdered body of Malik on his
desk, and on top of his head a blood-stained folder written on its wooden
cover, Simawi, the King of Shadows. A mixture of amazement and frustration
appeared on their faces. Adam approached Malik, affected by the ugliness of
the accident, and he looked closely at him. Then he walked to the desk, and
removed the folder from above his head. He put it aside, and then stepped
backward from the ugliness of the scene.

But he spotted a piece of paper in Malik's left hand with his fingers tightly
catching it. He had written that paper during his dialogue with his shadow
moments before his death without being noticed. He reached to him trying to
gently open his fingers and quickly picked it up to see what it contained.
He tried to read it silently to explain its contents. Edward noticed him and
asked:
- "What's in your hand?"
Adam approached him:
- "It is a vague message from Malik. I am trying to interpret it!"
Sarah said:
- "Tell us what is in it!"
He let her know its contents:
-“It says X "Simawi" a drawing of a circle in the form of an amulet with a
small sphinx in the middle.
X The shadows a circle like the sun disk! “
Edward said:
-"He must mean something!"
Adam:
- "Rather, it is a riddle on how to get rid of the shadows, and we must solve it."
At this moment, signs of perplexity were clear on their faces as they tried to
explain what the message meant. All of a sudden, a book fell from one of the
nearby shelves, which frightened Sarah, who retreated at a quick step back
and clashed with Malik's desk. Next to her fell the huge folder with some
papers. Adam said to her:
“Sarah! Are you OK? Don't worry, it's just a book.”
She replied, placing the scattered papers in the folder:
- "Damn it, it really scared me!"
Then she picked up the folder to put it on the desk. At this moment, Sarah
remembered something; when the folder fell, she glimpsed something. She
rushed to open it, and found a surprise. She saw a drawing of an amulet in the
book that looks exactly like what Malik drew in his message: - "Adam, Please
give me the message; I guess I discovered the secret!"
Adam and Edward rushed towards her, and compared the two drawings to
discover that they were
the same. Adam took the folder from Sarah and looked at the page opposite
the amulet. He found that it says:
"The Grand Wizard has told Simawi that he must obtain the necklace in order
to achieve immortality, and that it is the only way to protect him from the sun's
rays which will weaken him over time and may destroy his material strength
forever."
 Adam said loudly:
- "Now I understand what Malik meant in his message! In order to destroy
Simawi, he must be stripped of the amulet that protects him so that we can
best him. I also think that this drawing (he pointed to the circle he drew)
means the sun, i.e. we can destroy the shadows using high-powered lights,
and I think we can destroy them with phosphorous bullets because they
contain tremendous light force. I have some at home doing on which I am
experimenting."
Edward took out his phone and gave orders to one of his assistants:
- "Send an ambulance to Knowledge House library, 2035A 2nd st.
Immediately!"
Then Adam and Sarah said:
- "We should go immediately!"
When they arrived at his office, they sat together
on the meetings table, and he said

to them:
- "Now things are clearer."
Sarah said:
- "We totally discovered how to get rid of shadows!" Adam interrupted her: -
"We also discovered their leader's weakness."
Then Edward made another phone call in which he gave orders that all the
confrontation teams use phosphorous bullets instead of the regular ones, and
hung up the phone. Adam stood up saying:
- "I have to go home; I have an important thing to do."
He has remembered Mrs. Margaret. Sarah said:
- "I will come with you."
They went home in a hurry, and as soon as they arrived at 3:00 PM, they
headed towards Mrs. Margaret's house. Adam knocked on the door calling:
- "Mrs. Margaret! Mrs. Margaret, quickly open the door, please."
She opened the door for him:
- "What's the matter, Adam? You scared me! Did something wrong happen"
He took a deep breath and then sighed:

- "Thank God! I'm sorry, but you must accompany me to my house

immediately." She said amazed:
Why? What's the matter?"‫؛‬.
He said while gently pulling her towards him:
- "I will explain there. Now come quickly!"
- "Okay, but wait for me to get my insulin; it's time to take it."
- "I will get it for you. You should go now. Sarah, please take her to the fortified
room. I'll get the medicine and catch you there."
Then they headed towards his house, while he rushed into Mrs. Margaret's
room, opened the medication refrigerator, picked up the insulin and shut it. He
stopped for a while and then opened it again to empty all the medicines in a
small bag, because he does not know how much Mrs. Margaret will stay with
him. Then he left the house. Before closing the door, he saw something
moving, so he looked closely. An old woman's shadow was coming out of the
kitchen holding a big knife. He thought for a moment, then confirmed that it
was the shadow of Mrs. Margaret and it came to kill her. The shadow turned
left and right, but it did not find her. Infuriated, it said:
- "You escaped this time, you wretched hag."
Then it threw the knife at the door, where a picture of her was hanging to the
right. The knife stuck in the eye of the picture. Adam ran to his house, terrified
from what he had seen.
He entered the fortified room using the elevator, where Sarah and Mrs.
Margaret were waiting for him. Then Mrs. Margaret said to him:
- Sarah has informed me of everything that is going on; it is really an
incredible thing! You saved me; thank you very much.”
At this moment she looked tired, exhausted, and confused, so Sarah said:
- "Adam, give me the insulin, Mrs. Margaret should take it now."
Adam gave her the medicine to inject Mrs. Margaret, and then he bent over to
Mrs. Margaret, saying:
- "You are welcome. You should get some rest."
Sarah helped her lie down on a bed in the side of the fortified room.
Edward arrived at the Central Command Room inside the FBI building where
the President and a group of advisers and senior commanders in the Army
and Intelligence were following up the situation.
Things started to get worse and worse. The security measures were tightened
in vital and military locations and where the President was located; they
sensed the seriousness of the situation because the President is the one who
carries the nuclear bag and he still has his shadow until now! This has raised
some

doubts and concerns.

Everyone realized that the killings had become random and the situation had
become more dangerous. Edward stood showing his information and what
they deduced from Malik's message, as he told them that he had given orders
to all of his units to use phosphorous bullets to fight shadows. He added that
the forces of shadows might destroy the world:
- "We are in a crucial and decisive confrontation with them, so we must
intervene quickly before it is too late."
A military expert asked him:
- "Will phosphorous bombs neutralize the shadows?" - "Absolutely! But it is a
temporary solution. The number of shadows is huge; it is in the billions." - "It
stands to reason that they are invisible in complete darkness, so it cannot
move or be in the dark. We have to use this to confront them and inform
people so that they are cautious in order to maintain their safety."
Another said:
- "You are right, it is a logical conclusion!"
A nuclear arms scientists intervened:
- "We have to think hard about the Sun Glow Bomb!"
The attendees and the president were surprised to hear this, and their faces
showed
signs of suspicion. The president said:
- "H-Bomb!? What are you talking about! It is the strongest in the world. It will
destroy everything in front of it. This is madness!"
Nuclear scientist explained:
- "I mean to detonate it in space 400 kilometers away from Earth. The
enormous light emitted from it will destroy all shadows." Another interrupted
saying:
- "But it will destroy all means of communication, satellites, navigation devices,
and radar, and it will cause blindness to everyone who sees this explosion.
- "But it is our only option, I think."
The Secretary of Defense intervened to address the President:
- "Mr. President, if this decision is really on the table, necessary precautions
and measures must be taken because time is not on our side. Moreover, there
should be a curfew now in order to save lives."
The media adviser said:
- "Also, we must send a circular to all satellite

and land channels on the necessity of not leaving homes, turning off all the
lights in houses and shutting windows, and informing them of the curfew
decision during this period."
The President intervened, saying:
- "Let us follow the developments."
They sat in front of the screens that conveyed to them what was going on
directly from the scene.
Adam sat in front of the main computer through which he controlled all parts of
his invention, then pressed the play button. A medium-sized oval lens came
out in front of his right eye, scanned it, and came back in. The computer
display then showed "Successful Log in" accompanied by a robot's voice:
Alghoul Adam, Successful Log in.
Then he started to activate the system of self-change to phosphorous bullets
instead of regular ones. Once the change successfully completed, one of the
external cameras caught a shadow sneaking into the house. Adam quickly
turned on the auto-sniping system, but the shadow switched from its physical
form to its shadow form. The computer display showed "Failure to Complete
Task" Adam seemed to have a mixture of fear, confusion, and surprise
because he did not understand what was happening.

Then the shadow appeared on one of the cams saying:

- "Alghoul Adam. Hello."
Adam said in a scared tone: "Damn it! What is going on!?"
Sarah approached him: - "What is the matter!?"
- "I do not know. There is something wrong!"
- "Adam, you forgot something important; your shadow knows the details of
MTO97 better than you."
- "So, it is you!"
- "Yes, I am your shadow. You can call me Kaji. I am the one who
disconnected the controls of MTO97 through this wire (and pointed to a yellow
wire), and you know very well that if I made the blue wire touch the red wire,
your fortified room will burn.”
- "Damn it!"
He punched the table in front of him, bashing himself:
- "How did I not notice this?........... Well, what do you want from us? Did you
come to kill us?"
- "Only you! That is my mission. I'll give you one minute; either to go out or I
will have to burn you all."
- "Okay, okay, I will come out to you, but I have one last request. Promise me
that you will let Sarah and Mrs. Margaret be safe and not tell anyone about
them."
Sarah interrupted him:
- "This is madness, Adam. I will not let you go out to him. If this is our destiny,
let's face it together."
- "It is my destiny, and I must face it alone."
Kaji said:
- "Well do what you want, I don't care!".
And he seemed indifferent about what he said, Adam looked at Sarah crying
inconsolably for what things has come to. He put his palms on her cheeks
after he approached her looking into her eyes, then he whispered to her:
- "Listen to me very well, as soon as I go out to him, call Mr. Edward and tell
him everything. it's really dangerous. Remember, I love you so much! My last
request is to take care of yourself and Mrs. Margaret, and tell her that I have
traveled far away."
Then he embraced her, and she cried harder. He then let go of her hand and
went to the elevator, ready to face his fate. She said to Kaji via the cameras:
- "Please, I beg of you, do not to kill him. Kaji, reconsider. He has never hurt
you, and you know very well that he is a good person."
However, Kaji did not pay her attention. Adam walked out of the elevator and
stood

in front of his shadow waiting for his death after he closed his eyes, Kaji
grabbed a cup of copper to kill him. Suddenly he saw a picture on the left wall
of Adam's room when he was five, smiling with his beautiful smile and
dressing his shadow the same shirt he wore. The memories passed quickly
before Kaji’s eyes ; he saw Adam as a child chasing him in the garden of the
house, and when he used put his palm on his shadow's palm and whisper to
him, I love you, my friend, and when he used to bend over and kiss it naively.
He also remembered when Adam used to share some food crumbs with him
thinking that his shadow would eat with him.
As soon as he came back from his trip down memory lane, the cup fell from
his hand. Kaji returned to his senses. Adam opened his eyes to find Kaji
leaving.
- "Stop! What happened? Why didn't you kill me?"
- "I couldn't. You were so nice to me. They were really beautiful memories. I
realized I was on the wrong track. I am so sorry, my friend, and I thank God
that I woke up at the right moment.”
Then he came closer and hugged him.
Sarah took a deep breath, thanking God for saving her lover from certain
death, and then she quickly ascended to him.
Suddenly the siren sounded, an object had sneaked into the room. All of them
were astonished upon hearing it. Suddenly, Sarah's shadow took physical
form behind her and started strangling her with a shawl she was wearing. She
tried to defend herself, but to no avail. Her eyes were flooded with tears as
she barely caught her breath. Adam rushed to save her, but her shadow
looked at him warning him: - "If you take one more step, I will kill her."
Adam froze. Then, Kaji said:
- "Cathy, stand down. Don't kill her. Think well. What is the point of killing our
humans? They did not hurt us at all."
However, Cathy did not pay attention to his words:
- "Shut up, Kaji. You are a traitor. I'll take care of you later."
Then she began to strangle her until her eyes turned red. At this point, Kaji
switched from his physical form to his shadow form, and stood behind her
switching back to his physical form. Then he pulled her from her head until the
shawl dropped from her hands after Sarah almost drawn her last breaths.
Adam quickly ran towards her after Kaji freed her from Cathy's grip. A violent
fight broke out between the two shadows, eluding each other by using their
capabilities in taking physical and shadow forms. Finally, the fight ended with
Cathy escaping from the house and saying:
- "I will return soon."
Sarah said in a sigh of relief:
"Thank you very much, Kaji, you saved my life."
Adam also expressed his gratitude:
- "You saved me twice."
Kaji smiled to them, and winked his left eye smiling at Adam: - "This is my
duty, lover boy."
They smiled at his joke then Adam said :
- "We should move now, guys, in order to tell Edward about the updates."
Sarah:
- "Okay, but he has an emergency meeting in the central command room."
- "So we'll go there,"
but he suddenly stopped, he remembered something:
"but we have to fix the wires first, and put the device on the automatic sniping,
so that Mrs. Margaret is safe."
Kaji said:
- "Don't worry, I will fix what I ruined."
Indeed, he began to do so.
Cathy arrived at Simawi, full of failure and disappointment with her head
down:
- "Sir, I am very sorry, I could not kill my human."
He replied frowning:
- "What are you talking about? Why couldn't you?
- "A traitor shadow named Kaji helped her survive."
He looked at her angry, interrupting her:
- "Well, there is no room in my kingdom for rebels,"
then he pointed at her with his right forefinger as he frowned and his eyes
glowed with evil, "nor failures."
His sharp words struck her like a thunderbolt, so she said, confused and
frightened:
- "As you wish, sir."
- "Take as many as you want of the shadows, and kill them immediately, (he
means Adam and Sarah,) as for this traitor, I want him alive, to make an
example out of him."
He gave her a bow that was next to him with a quiver filled with arrows painted
with red mercury:
- "When you shoot one at him, he will not be able to move or switch back to
his shadow form; it will completely paralyze him. Do not overuse it so that you
do not kill him. Do what you must."
Cathy came forward and took the bow and the quiver, then bowed and took
permission to leave.
Cathy and her group of 14 shadows arrived at Adam's house. At that moment
Adam, Kaji, and Sarah were in the fortified room

with Mrs. Margaret. Adam activated the automatic sniping, and moments later
the external cameras spotted the shadows. Kaji said as he looked at the
monitoring screen:
- "They have returned."
Adam said:
- "Do not worry, MTO97 will handle them."
Cathy stood outside and then gave orders to a group of seven shades to enter
and kill all the humans in the house, the shadows switched to their physical
form and entered the room. The computer display showed a message saying
"All Targets in Range." Seconds later, the machine guns shot at them
destroying them at once. A message on the computer display said "Operation
Successful, No Survivors." They rejoiced, and they all shook hands:
- "We did it."
This is the first time that phosphorescent bullets have been tried against
shadows and have proven to be effective. Cathy heard the shooting and
moments later she saw shadows evaporating out of the house. She was
certain they were completely destroyed. She ordered the other group to enter
and asked them to be careful, but the same thing that happened to the first
group was repeated with them, except for one shadow that managed to
convert to its shadow form a fraction of the second before bullets penetrated
his head, what a lucky shadow! He miraculously escaped from the deadly
weapon.
It went out to Cathy, saying:
- "They were all destroyed, we will not be able to get close to this place, it is
fully fortified."
- "OK. Well..."
Her mind stopped thinking, she failed for the second time in a row. Then she
ordered him to go to Simawi and tell him everything that happened. Kaji saw
Cathy in front of the house through a camera, so he decided to go out to talk
to her.
He grabbed a phosphorous gun and went out to her, and said:
- "Cathy, stop and throw what you have on the ground!"
She turned to him to see his weapon pointed at her, so she threw the bow
aside:
- "Okay, what do you want, Kaji? Why did you betray our dream of having a
great kingdom?"
- "No, Cathy, I am not a traitor; I am the one who is doing the right thing. Our
real kingdom is here with our peers in love and peace, not in the destruction of
this world. Answer me, what after the annihilation of humans? We will kill
each other. Here we live in safety, think carefully about what I am telling you."
Cathy contemplated him and she seemed touched by his words:
- "But they will not accept us as their partners on this earth?"
- “Why won't they accept us as long as we are their shadows? Here everyone
lives in peace, humans, djinn, animals, and birds."
- "You are right, Kaji; they did not harm us at all, we used to share the ups and
downs of this world together, until Simawi freed us to turn all our lives to hell. I
was so stupid."
Then she approached him to hug him, and he lowered his gun:
- "Well, don't worry; we all have been deceived, but the important thing is that
we remedied our mistake early."
- "Please forgive me all, I am back to reason!"
Meanwhile her hand had crept into the pistol and quickly snatched it from his
hand. She took few steps back and pointed the gun at him saying:
- "Unfortunately, my job is to bring you alive, stupid traitor."
He looked at her, surprised by her prowess in acting and deception. Then he
disappeared in front of her in a blink of an eye, she looked around and did not
find him, then bowed to get the bow and the quiver of arrows, but she also did
not find them. She cried angrily: - "Damn you, rascal."
Then she went back to Simawi.
Kaji returned to the room and found Adam and Sarah waiting for him, so Adam
said:
- "Where have you been?"
- "It doesn't matter, we are late. We must go now; things are getting more and
more complicated."
And they all went.
They all arrived at the FBI at 4:00 PM. Adam called Edward to tell him that
they were in front of the building, so Edward asked him to enter from the main
gate and then ended the call and whispered in the President's ear:
- "Mr. President, they are Adam and Sarah whom I told you about, they have
some new information."
So he asked him to allow them to enter. The guards received orders on the
radio to let them in. In the meantime, Kaji was in his shadow form close to the
ceiling, hidden from sight.

Adam and Sarah crossed the X-ray detector, and after they passed Sarah
spotted a policeman massaging his neck from fatigue and was about to see
Kaji, so she looked tense and quickly reacted; she shouted in pain while
holding her stomach:
- "Ow! Ow! I'm in severe pain."
The policeman turned to her and the gatekeepers rushed to her, and the
policeman said:
- "What's wrong, miss? Are you hurt?"
- "It looks like it's just stress, but now I'm fine. Thank you both." Then they
continued their way towards the command room with a guard. Adam
understood Sarah's trick so he whispered in her ear:
- "You really are an accomplished actress."
They laughed discretely and continued walking. As soon as they got there,
the guard opened the door with his eye scanning , so they immediately
entered and Kaji entered as well from the ceiling of the room without anyone
noticing him.
Edward introduced them to the President, and the latter said:
- "What do you have for us?"
Adam said:
- "We were just under a systematic attack on my house from a group of
shadows, and we were able to eliminate them with phosphorus bullets. I think
the situation will become drastic if we don't intervene as soon as possible; not
all people have MTO97. As we know, the shadows have a lot of powers, and
the most important two powers they have in my opinion are their accurate
knowledge of their humans; it is difficult for you to confront someone who
knows you just like you know yourself. The second power is their ability to
disappear and take physical form very quickly; they can switch from their
shadow form to their physical form or vice versa, which makes them very
dodgy."
Everyone listened to him carefully, and the President said:
- "Oh really! We are running out of time, we must intervene quickly. This time
we need to think differently. One of my unchanging convictions is the
impossibility of using nuclear weapons."
Here, the nuclear case appeared before him and all eyes were directed
towards him. They could not infer what was going on in his mind.
He looked at his watch:
- "It is 4:00 PM now, I made the most difficult decision of my life ever, the Sun
Glow Bomb will be launched at 7:00 PM."

There was dead silence in the operations room, and everyone exchanged
looks filled with many questions, worried of an unknown fate.
Their uneasy silence was interrupted by a strange movement; the president's
shadow turned into its physical form, then snatched one of the guns quickly
and with great skill from his bodyguard. Then he stood behind the president
and wrapped his left forearm around his neck as he pointed his gun to his
head. He said: - "Lay down your weapons or I will Kill him immediately."
Everyone seemed reluctant and confused, so the president asked them to
respond to his command, so everyone laid down their arms. Then the shadow
moved a little until he grabbed the nuclear case and spoke to them with
confident interspersed with false ecstasy:
- "This matter is so tiresome to me! I am very happy that you did not find out
about me, but I was always counting on your stupidity."
Then he addressed the President:
"I was separated from you a few days ago, but the orders were that I need to
stick to you until this moment and get this bag."
Then he brought the bag closer to him with a smile:
"This bag is very valuable; Simawi will make me his deputy in our great
kingdom, he promised me so."
Adam shouted:
- "Simawi will destroy you and destroy the whole world, this earth will be
reduced to ruins. These weapons will kill us all. Do you know that its light force
will destroy your physical power forever? You will remain shadows floating in
this meaningless ruin."
But the shadow did not mind him and began to sneak out with his hostage and
the bag in his possession. At this moment Kaji took the physical form and
dropped down from the ceiling directly behind the shadow. Then he strangled
him and removed the pistol from him, and threw it to Adam who picked it up
and shot at the shadow's head. The bullet passed near the President's head.
Everyone rushed and got their weapons and pointed them at Kaji. Adam stood
in front of them, waving his hands high:
- "No, no! Stop, this is my shadow Kaji, he is a good shadow and he is the one
helping us now, please lower your weapons." The President ordered them to
lower their weapons. They murmured and their foreheads became sweaty.
Their throats dried up and their eyes were fixed because of the severity and
gravity of the situation. Finally, everybody relaxed and calmed down.
The President looked at Adam and Kaji and thanked them for what they did,
and he expressed to Adam his admiration for his marksmanship.
The situation became very serious, as the President decided to launch the
Hydrogen Bomb at 7:00 PM, i.e. after less than three hours. Adam and Sarah
asked to take a war plane to Egypt where Simawi is, they know very well that
for their victory in this battle, he must be stripped of the amulet so that they
can neutralize him.
Indeed, the President agreed to their request, and a few minutes later three of
the fastest war planes took off carrying Adam, Sarah, and a team of special
forces to Egypt, where Simawi is building his castle at the foot of the
pyramids. Kaji bid them farewell, saying:
- "I will beat you there."
At the same moment, Cathy arrived to find Simawi standing and looking to the
other side. She said:
- "Master, I have fai..."
Before she was able to finish what she was saying, a mercury arrow shot by a
guard hit her, it was on prior orders from Simawi. The arrow penetrated her
right shoulder so that mercury could spread quickly throughout her entire
body. She fell to her knees moaning from pain, and her body was being taken
over by paralysis. Finally, the phosphorus pistol fell from her hand. Simawi
turned to her with eyes full of malice and told her in a hollow voice:
- "I have warned you before! In my kingdom there is no place for losers."
Then he ordered one of the shadows to put her in prison in a dark room, until
her situation is looked into it later.
The shadow bowed to carry her over his shoulder in preparation for being
thrown into prison. Before he carried her, he put a red copper collar around
her neck. While he was doing this, he spotted the phosphorous gun lying next
to her, so he took it without being noticed.
After a long distance, they entered the ancient cave of Simawi. Cathy looked
around and saw a large, dreadful cave with an entrance that leads to a long
corridor, and on its sides thousands of cells, the first of which had holes to
which the sunlight enters being reflected by huge concave mirrors as a means
of torturing the shadows to death.
She did not believe what she saw, she did not expect this huge number of
shadows rejecting the king's orders; the cave is crowded with huge numbers
of shadows shackled by the restrictions of red copper in their hands, legs, and
necks.
At this point, she remembered the words of Kaji; she realized after it was too
late that he was right and she was wrong.
The shadow took her to a completely dark dungeon; he put her in it and
stayed with her as instructed by his master.
The whole world was in complete disarray. Instructions and warnings have
been issued across all satellite channels to turn off all lights from all homes,
companies, factories and markets, and not to play with cell phones or
computers or even turn on the TV during this period, so that the shadows
cannot reach them while they are in their shadow form. Thus, they will not be
able to switch to their physical form because they cannot exist in the dark as
they completely fade into it. One of the newscasters appeared in one of the
channels during a summary of breaking news saying:
- "This is just in: The President has decided to use nuclear weapons to
confront the forces of shadows, and the date for the bombing has been set at
7:00 PM. Therefore, everyone must stay home during this period, and abide
by the preceding warnings."
Many journalists and reporters on the street started reporting the street
evacuation measures, and the enforcement of the curfew by the security
forces and civil defence.

While hearing these warnings on TV, a woman and her husband rushed to
turn it off as well as all the lights, and closed all the windows.
While she was closing the last window, she saw a group of shadows heading
towards her. She tried to close the window quickly, and she managed to do so
in the nick of time making the house shrouded in complete darkness. A stray
bullet penetrated the window and light came through the hole which opened
the way for a group of shadows to take physical form. Then they opened all
the windows and moved towards them. The couple exchanged quick glimpses
of sadness and pain. They realized that it was a moment of farewell. The
mother rushed to her little girl’s room, which was under four years old, and her
eyes shed tears. Some shadows tried to catch her, but her husband
confronted them in a valiant and violent fight. The mother reached the door of
the room and closed it while she heard her baby crying, she said:
- "Don't worry, baby; we are just playing hide-and-seek. Just keep quiet and I
will get you a nice gift. Just remember that I and your father love you so
much..."
She took off her shirt to fill the space under the door so that no light enters
from it. Then she rushed back to her husband to find him lying in a pool of his
own blood. She collapsed on her knees.
She was surrounded by shadows on every side. They lift her, as she cried out
for help to no avail, and threw her through the window from the twelfth floor.
Journalists, security men, and a group of people gathered around the
woman’s body, which was completely shattered. What they just saw was
miserable. Then they looked at the window from which she was thrown. The
girl started crying again, disturbed by the darkness, so she approached the
door of the room, feeling her way and calling out:
- "Mom, mom I'm scared. I don't want to play."
Then she reached under the door to remove the shirt. Light crept from the
crack, and a huge shadow entered and took physical form in front of her.
Then, he turned on the lights in the room, and the child looked at him crying
innocently:
- "Who are you? Where is my mom? Please, I want my mom."
Then the shadow came to the window and opened it, and turned to the girl
and carried it in his hands. She looked into his eyes:
- "Where are we going?"
The frowning shadow replied:
- "Don't worry. I will send you to your mommy."
Then he took her out of the window in preparation to throw her from the top.
The girl was in crying hysterically.

People in the street saw the shadow holding the girl. A woman screamed: -
"Please save her! Do something!"
The voices came shouting and crying to save her, so a helicopter approached
the window in a difficult and dangerous attempt to save the little girl. The
shadow looked down and saw people waving their hands, and looked in front
of him and found the mercury light of the helicopter in front of his eyes. He
held the girl in one hand and covered his eye with the other because the light
irritated him. He almost dropped the girl, so people started screaming in the
street and the press reported the event live. The helicopter approached
quickly and a brave soldier jumped towards them after being attached with a
rope on his back. He aimed his pistol at the shadow who dropped the child,
and the soldier shot a bullet that rested in the shadow's head turning his body
into a pile of ash. He extended his hand and caught the girl from her shirt at
the last minute. He then hugged her in his arms as another flight crew lifted
them.
Everyone on the street applauded the little girl’s escape and the rare bravery
the soldier showed.
On M Street, one of the main streets in the capital at 5:00 PM, Special Forces
units began preparing to face the shadows. A group of them advanced on
armoured vehicles armed with machine guns with phosphorous bullets in
preparation for facing any possible attack from the shadows.
While they were going to complete their mission, a speeding car appeared
from the opposite direction with its headlights on. They asked the driver
through the loudspeaker to stop immediately, so the car stopped. Seconds
later, it started again faster than it was the first time. One of the soldiers
looked through a dedicated road monitor only to find out that the driver is a
shadow that had murdered his human. The soldier received orders from his
commander to shoot him.
But the shadows quickly appeared in the form of a flood of carbon bodies.
They suddenly attacked the armoured vehicles in a mad state, which
frightened the soldiers and intimidated them. The number of shadows was
incredible. They aimed at them and fired randomly and abundantly, killing
many of them, but their numbers exceeded imagination. The shadows
surrounded them from all sides and snatched the soldiers from over the
armoured vehicles, as they infiltrated inside them and killed everyone in them.
A soldier grabbed the radio:
"Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! To the central command, we are under attack by
a huge number of shadows. Many soldiers died and there are wounded here.
Send support immediately.” Over. The command heard the chaos over the
radio:
"Mayday! Your location has been identified. Support is on the way. Over.”
But the squad leader and everyone else with him were dead. One of the
shadows grabbed the radio:
- "No one will answer you! Everyone is dead."
At this point, signs of fear and despair began to appear on the command unit;
they realized that the situation was bigger and more dangerous than they had
expected. Orders were sent to the choppers to cover the forces assigned to
confront the shadows, and to conduct exploratory strikes with phosphorous
bombs so that they can advance and reduce the risks they may be exposed
to. The orders were issued from the General Command Room to have an
observer for each plane, to ensure that all of its crew do not have shadows,
and that no shadow had infiltrated them as a precautionary security measure.
In one of the choppers, the soldier assigned to sort the crew was making sure
that no shadow sneaked in, and when the last soldier went up, he gave orders
to close the helicopter and it began flying over the city streets. In a matter of
seconds a shadow turned to its physical form, and grabbed a dagger from one
of the soldiers who was using it to caress his beard. The shadow drove the
dagger under his chin, and grabbed his automatic rifle in the midst of the
amazement of all the crew. The shadow shot at them randomly, killing many
of them and wounding others. But they soon clashed with him, and they
eliminated him in a blaze of chaos which made the craft almost crash killing
everyone in it.
In the C. I. A building, an elaborate ambush was created. Snipers spread
around it in all directions fortified in completely dark cars, and at a certain
moment, shadows appeared in front of the building and took physical form in
preparation for the attack. The snipers were faster, however; they killed a lot
and a few survived the hail of bullets.
Clashes intensified between the special forces and the shadows everywhere,
but so far, the losses were very high.
Shadows lose large numbers in their confrontations with the elite special
forces.
So, they decided to use their most important and most powerful power, which
is shadow merge in which they clump together in different forms according to
their need. After that, they acquire the force of matter and attack whoever they
want in the form they took. Signs of fear and discomfort appeared on the
members of the Special Forces, as they witnessed the shadows in their
shadow form as they gathered on the ground forming vague shapes while the
soldiers were unable to know what they are. In moments, everything became
clear, they formed a group that includes four lions and another of huge
wolves. Then they gained material force to rise from the ground in a terrifying
view. One of the troops shouted:
"What is happening? Damn it! We're done for!"
The lions and wolves prepared to attack a large group of troops. They ran
towards their targets, pouncing over them, killing many of them with their
powerful strikes, devouring everyone facing them. The forces engaged them
and directed their weapons towards the heads of some of them and destroyed
them. The surprise is that they kept attacking after losing their heads. A group
of soldiers aimed at their hind legs and destroyed them, but they kept
advancing towards them crawling on their front legs.
On the other side, a group of shadows prepared for a new merge, but this time
in the form of a giant anaconda over 200 feet long and 20 feet in diameter.
They gathered in the street very quickly and began merging, and then they
gained material force and went towards the police cars wrapping themselves
around them to crush them entirely.
But it was shot with many phosphorous bullets and every time a shadow was
destroyed, another shadow replaced it. While the anaconda was being shot, it
looked at the top of one of the towers and saw a team of snipers whose
consecutive accurate shots greatly hassled it. It turned to them and climbed
the building breaking the windows; it devoured some of them and threw the
others by blows from its strong tail.
The world is in chaos now, which led to the intervention of the choppers that
fired phosphorous bombs at the shadow forms destroying them completely
and incurring heavy losses in their ranks.
The shadows sensed the amount of danger and destruction that befell them.
Another group of shadows resorted to agglomeration and merging to form a
huge dragon, then it gained its material strength and flew to the sky very
quickly over one of the choppers. It attacked the chopper and caught it with its
talons after destroying its blades. Then, it shot to the ground lightning speed,
and seconds before hitting the ground it turned into its shadow form. The
helicopter hit the ground and crashed. Things got worse, so orders came from
the command room to withdraw the Special Forces, for the Air Force to take
over because the shadows evolved themselves and their fighting capabilities
to an incredible extent.

Groups of shadows merged into a sloping bridge 600 meters high at its
highest point, gradually dropping to be on the street level. Then, other groups
merged over its highest point forming a huge sphere the diameter of which is
over 100 meters reserved with a shadow gate to prevent it from slipping. Then
it gained its physical strength.
There was a feeling of extreme discomfort in the command room while seeing
this unbelievable terrifying merger.
Suddenly the shadow gate opened, and the giant ball rolled down very fat
destroying all buildings, towers, gas stations and malls on its way.
After a few minutes, the fighters arrived. They shot their missiles at the
shadows destroying them completely, and the fighters were ordered to return
to their bases. On their way back, the shadows were preparing to appear
again in a new merger, but this time it was very large; they formed a giant
monster whose body is like a human body, and its head is the head of a
muscular demon with a frightening body. It rose from the ground as a giant
shadow, to the extent that the towers and buildings looked like toys next to it.
Other shadows formed a huge chain which the giant used to destroy
everything standing in its way. It made towers collapsed on each other and
stomped on cars and buses. It is truly ruin and destruction the likes of which
the world has never seen before.

The situation became catastrophic, so the fighters returned again after they
were ordered to return, and clashed with the shadow giant. They shot their
missiles at it, and parts of it were destroyed. However, it quickly repaired itself;
whenever a group of shadows were destroyed in its body, they were replaced
by another. The giant looked at one of these fighters, his eyes full of rage, and
swung its chain and threw it at the fighter with great force and speed. The pilot
of the fighter managed to avoid it thinking that he had succeeded in dodging it,
but he was surprised to see it come back from afar as it directed itself towards
the fighter. The chain wrapped around the fighter destroying it immediately.
Orders came from the operations room that the fighters should not to be too
close to the ground and to use more destructive and lethal bombs, which are
used only in cases of wars and decisive battles.
The time is now close to 6:30 PM, only half an hour left to the time of the
nuclear explosion, so the fighters must carry out their strikes and return
quickly. Indeed, one of the fighters carrying the bomb went away shooting its
destructive missile at the giant, completely destroying it.

This filled the pilot and all members of the operations room with joy.
But the feeling of victory was short-lived.
Dozens of this dreadful shadow giant appeared from afar, advancing in a
dreadful view. Now, signs of despair were clear on the faces of all members of
the command room. Oh, horror, so little remains for the nuclear explosion, so
orders were issued:
- "To all units, retreat now. there is not much left for the explosion, and we will
not be able to eliminate them in this short time. Retreat immediately."
- "Roger that, sir."
The fighters Were replaced by drones to reduce the amount of damage
caused by shadows.
At 6:30 PM, Washington DC time, at 12:30 AM CST, the planes flew directly
over the slope of the pyramids. Adam and Sarah stood at the door of the
plane in preparation for the jump. He came closer to her and said:
- "Is this the trip you wanted to take?"
- "Yes, well let's do it together."
Then they jumped with the special forces’ teams near the location of the King
of Shadows. They landed one by one and then they started to fold their
parachutes while Kaji was waiting for them there.
Huge numbers of shadows surrounded Simawi consisting of organized
battalions, including archers, others carrying large spears pointed up to the
sky, brigades carrying sharp axes, and other groups carrying out excavations
and construction works to finish the largest castle in the world for Simawi to
satisfy his ambitions. Simawi was sitting on a huge throne of granite with two
armrests, on which he rested his arms like two seated lions. From the back of
the chair, a massive serpent stuck out with its broad head forming an umbrella
that protects him from the sun. He was holding a huge bow and next to him
arrows of mercury and around his neck an amulet that emits a dim yellow
light. He was following and observing the work.
Kaji sneaked among the shadows to see their enormous numbers and gear.
Then he turned left and right with frightened, confused looks. A builder
shadow stopped him and ordered him to carry the stones, chastising him: "We
have no time for this indolence, stupid slave."

Then he hit him with his long triple whip. The signs of intense pain and anger
mixed on his face, and then he looked at him sharply, his hands clenched with
rage, but he bent to lift one of the stones over his shoulder, heading towards
the castle so that his cover won't blow.
While walking, he saw a shadow among a large group of shadows doing
construction work, he was fatigued as he groaned from intense pain. Kaji
approached him:
- "Hello!"
But the shadow did not pay attention to him and kept walking without turning
to him, so Kaji repeated his greeting again in a low voice.
- "Hey, you! Hello."
He answered bored in a tired voice:
- "What do you want?"
- "I see you are tired and old. Why would you accept this humiliation? Why
don't you go away from this place, you can escape this farce?
In fact, I do not understand how you accept humiliation and slavery without
charge. You can go away, my friend."

- "It seems that you are new here, look at this,"

and he pointed to a red copper collar around his neck, "look around you,
everyone here forcibly wear it, because it prevents us from turning into our
shadow form and disappear, so we can not escape this hell."
Kaji was silent and looked around only to find the collar on the necks of
everyone he saw. Then each of them went his way. After he was no longer
seen, he dropped the stone and returned to his companions, who were ready
to attack. He told them what happened to him.
Adam, Sarah and all of the force members wore black googles to protect
themselves from the light from the explosion in preparation for this decisive
confrontation. There was little left, and a group of special forces armed with
sophisticated machine guns advanced. They engaged the shadows in a direct
confrontation killing many of them.
Confusion dominated the situation; the shadows were under a surprise attack
so they started moving erratically in order to escape from the deadly bullets.
However, they quickly rearranged their ranks to respond in self-defense with a
battalion of archers, fortified behind a steel wall with arrows slits. They killed
some of them and injured many more. At exactly the same time, Adam, Kaji
and Sarah were preparing to face the shadows. Adam grabbed an automatic
weapon with a grenade launcher, then Kaji approached him to give him two
mercury arrows saying:

- "You may need them!"

He kept two arrows for himself. Sarah came forward, holding a phosphorous
pistol, and then she picked up the bow and a quiver of arrows in which there
were only two arrows left. Adam came closer to her and embraced her as he
looked into her blue eyes:
- "Don't worry. We'll be fine."
- "Promise me you won't anything happen to you!"
- "I promise you, we're all gonna be all right."
Then he headed towards the battalion of archers to support the forces in this
decisive confrontation. He destroyed everyone he saw as he hit many
shadows with his sharp shots. He proceeded and inflicted heavy losses on
them by using the grenades to blow up the masses of shadows.
Finally, Adam reached his target, the group fortified behind the steel wall, but
he was surprised to find out that his ammunition had run out. He advanced
towards them with unparalleled confidence and.

He pulled the two arrows out from behind his back, holding one in each hand
and then clashed with them in a fierce battle. He stabbed everyone facing him
with strong, direct and fast strikes in the chest, abdomen, head, and neck,
which left them completely paralyzed.
At the same time, Kaji was writing his own epic in his fight with the forces of
shadows, using his powers of transformation and concealment from his
shadow form to his material form stabbing everyone he met with his two red
arrows. But he lost arrows during his fight. Suddenly, he saw the shadow that
whipped him, so he bolted to him. Then he stood looking at him with looks
filled with revenge, and he said to him:
- "Where will you escape now, bastard? I think you lost your job as a slave to
your master?"
The shadow surprised him with a crack of his whip that hit his arrow and
threw it away, so Kaji rushed towards him. He kicked and punched him until
he threw him to the ground. They rolled on the ground each of them trying to
best the other until Kaji came on top him. Kaji saw the arrow next to him, so he
snapped off its head and put it in his right hand between his index finger and
middle finger. Then, he punched him in the head violently and swiftly finishing
him immediately.
Sarah sneaked inside with great caution destroying everyone who crossed her
path with her phosphorous pistol until she reached Simawi, who was in range
of her arrows.

She grabbed the bow after placing a mercury arrow in it, and pointed it
towards him with fluttering looks and intermittent breaths. She tried to steady
her shaking hands, and then drew the bow weakly and loosed. The arrow hit
Simawi in his left thigh. He turned to her with a sharp threatening look, and
she felt that she was going to face an unknown fate. Then he pulled the arrow
from his thigh violently and said, cynically:
- "Such a poor aim, bitch!"
Then he grabbed his bow and aimed at her, drawing the bow with excessive
force. Her eyes froze from fear as she swallowed with great difficulty. The
sweat drops crowded over her forehead, and the arrow flew with precision
toward her left eye. Only a few millimeters before the arrow penetrated her
eye, Kaji showed up slightly ahead of her and caught the arrow in his right
hand. She took a breath, not believing that she was alive.
Kaji then pulled her from her hand and took her a few steps backwards to hide
from Simawi's gaze. Then, they found Adam looking for them. They all praised
God because they were all fine.

It was only two minutes left for the explosion, and Adam took out a suit he
had, saying:
- "Kaji, you should wear this right away,”
it was specially designed to protect from blast light and its electromagnetic
waves.
It is similar to the astronauts' suits, but it is coated with silver. It is flexible and
easy to move in, and it has a mask with black goggles.
In the operations room at 7:00 PM, where the president was standing with the
nuclear case in front of him ready to press the button to launch the Sun Glow
Bomb. The whole world is in a state of anticipation of this huge explosion. The
president entered the secret code while being clearly hesitant. Then, he
pressed the activation button after he was certain that it is the only solution. A
massive rocket, similar to the satellite carrier rockers, loaded with a three-
piece bomb, two pieces on its sides and a piece at its front. It was really the
most powerful bomb in this world.
The missile blasted off very quickly, breaking the sound barrier. Before
reaching the specified distance, two pieces of the bomb separated, one to the
right and the other to the left. The third continued on its path. On the screen,
they read: detonation in 9 minutes and 20 seconds. then the countdown
began.

At this moment, the shadows reached the FBI building after they destroyed
everyone in their path. The forces in charge of protecting the building tried to
counter this attack by shooting at them from all directions. A radio
transmission was heard in the command room:
- "Sir! The building is under heavy attack, and our forces are insufficient. We
need backup as soon as possible."
Edward answered:
- "Okay, hang on! We will try to send backup. Over."
Edward instructed one of his assistants:
- "Show the cameras of all the entrances to the building on the main screen
immediately."
Shadows appeared on the screen as they pushed forward towards the
building in huge numbers, so the assistant said to Edward:
- "Sir, we must send back up quickly. We will not hold in front of these
numbers."
Edward answered:
- "We have less than 9 minutes for the blast, and the backup needs double
this time to arrive."
Edward instructed the commander of the forces in charge of protecting the
building: - "Charlie, try to keep them busy as long as possible. We're minutes
away from detonation."
The shadows breached the first line of defence after killing all of the forces
facing them. Then, they retreated a small distance and began to merge; a
group of them formed 3 catapults and another group made huge shadow
balls. The shadow bombs were launched to break the building's facade.
Charlie informed the command while taking shelter behind a concrete wall:
- "Sir, the building is on the verge of collapse. We will not hold until the
detonation." Edward replied:
- "Charlie, try to hold on. We have no other choice."
Edward then addressed the president:
- "Even if they can destroy the building, they will not be able to reach us. This
room is immune to all attacks." The shadows repeatedly bombarded the
building until large parts of it collapsed.

At this point, a shadow monster appeared and began to remove the debris,
until it reached the underground level in which the central room was located,
so it tried to destroy it, but it could not. A car arrived to the building, in it a
group of five shadows armed with sophisticated weapons and a bag
containing powerful explosives. The group got out and headed towards the
basement, and then planted and detonated the explosives which made a large
gap through which they entered to the door of the command room.
One of the shadows put explosives around it, but another shadow told him: -
"It will not work like this because the room is very fortified." Suddenly, a
shadow entered, holding a severed head, saying:
- "Don't worry, I will open the door through the eye scanning of my human."
He put the head close to the lens which scanned the eye. The small screen
said:
"Officer Charlie Smith. Access Granted."
And the door opened, everyone in the room was in a direct confrontation with
the shadows. But in these seconds, the countdown to the detonation ended,
so Edward said:
- "You are not welcome in this place."

One of the shadows took aim at him and hit him in the chest, but he was
wearing a bulletproof vest. The screens said: "3-2-1," and the bomb went off.
Unbelievable thing, a giant explosion covering the surface of the earth
spreading horizontally at a crazy speed. The light it emitted as if a giant flash
on the face of the earth, huge light waves that shock it. The shadows were
shattered in front of the command room, inside and outside the building. At
this point the broadcast to the operations room was interrupted and the drones
crashed.
The voices inside the room were high and everyone applauded their difficult
victory over the forces of shadows.
Light broke shadows everywhere, destroying their conglomerations that nearly
destroyed everything on the planet.
The light wiped out the immense armies of Simawi and the shadows in their
large cave, sneaking through the slots of their cells while they were shackled.
The land was filled with large amounts of ash left from the destruction of the
shadows, and the streets became completely covered with it.
At the same moment, Sarah, Adam and Kaji lay down on the ground so that
the light of the explosion would not harm them.

The whole world became a sea of ash. But Simawi is still standing in his
place! Surrounded by a yellow light emitted from his amulet, which formed a
protective shield from the explosion light. He stood alone looking at the extent
of the devastation that had befallen his kingdom. As far as his eyes could see,
he only saw ash. He saw the dream of his kingdom fall apart before his eyes,
and the horrors of surprise dominated him. There was silence in the place,
and after a few minutes someone took out his hand from the bottom of the
accumulated ash. It was Adam. he took a deep breath and coughed because
he almost suffocated under this enormous debris. Then he removed what was
left of it on him turning right and left in fear and anticipation. He could neither
find Sarah nor Kaji.
He moved forward calling out loudly: -"Sarah... Sarah... Can you hear me?"
But he only saw ruins in front of him. Suddenly he saw her bow, and he ran
difficultly towards it to find her drowned in ash. He tried to remove it, then he
pulled her from her hand and lifted her in his arms shouting :
- "Sarah... Honey, please wake up."
Then put her on a flat rock raised above the ground.

He was trying to save her, but to no avail. He resorted to artificial respiration,

and after several attempts, she responded to him and breathed the breath of
life. She almost died had it not been for Adam's help. Sarah woke up very
tired, then opened her eyes to look at Adam full of love and gratitude. This
look brought him back life, so he praised God for the survival of his girlfriend.
Sarah looked around and asked him in a weak voice:
- "Where's Kaji?"
He turned around and did not find him, so he called out to him and his eyes
looking in all directions. He was nowhere to be found.
Sarah said:
- "Perhaps a light crept into him through an opening in his suit!"
- "No, I'm sure he's fine."
Then, he continued:
- "Kaji, answer me, where are you, my friend?"
Moments and Kaji came out from under the ashes, so he saw him. They both
rushed to him with a smile on their faces:
- "You scared us, warrior shadow."
Then they embraced him.

At the same time, Cathy in the dark room managed to lose her handcuffs after
the effect of mercury in her body wore off. The shadow guarding her noticed
this. They fought, and she won over him.
Adam, Kaji and Sarah are now in a direct confrontation against Simawi, so
Adam asked Kaji to go to the aid the remaining forces, saying:
- "Of course, they desperately need help!"
So he quickly went to them, and asked Sarah to stand her ground as she was
still exhausted. Then he came towards Simawi with steady steps. He
approached him saying:
- "Damn you, arrogant shadow. Satan sent you to your doom."
He replied with confident voice:
- "Rather, He sent you to your death, little one."
Adam approached him trying to stab him with an arrow in his hand, but very
strong Simawi grabbed his hand and dropped the arrow from it. Then he threw
him away with a strong blow from his other hand. Adam dropped among the
sparse ashes, so he tried to get up difficultly as a result of this strong blow. He
gathered his strength and then headed towards him again. He threw many
elaborate punches and strong kicks, but Simawi seemed unharmed, saying:
- "I like your show, boy.
Then Adam kicked him with his right foot, but Simawi caught it and tightened
her fist around it, then pulled it violently and threw him again away. This time
he hit an old wall and fell unconscious.
Sarah rushed towards him, embraced him, and put his head on her knee
trying to wake him up. He opened his eyes with great difficulty because he hit
the wall very violent, and his opponent is still strong.
Meanwhile, Kaji had finished his mission and extracted a group of troops from
the ashes, with the help of two other soldiers who had managed to survive
under the rubble. Then, he returned to see Adam in this bad situation.
He stood at his friend's feet and said:
- "Don't worry, my friend, I will handle it."
Then he picked up a copper collar, opened it with difficulty and placed it in the
belt of his suit. Then he darted towards his opponent and in his eyes a clear
desire for revenge. Simawi pointed at Kaji to come at him, so Kaji ran towards
him. He threw so many punches at him, but he seemed unscathed. Suddenly,
Simawi struck him with his right hand knocking him down on the ground. Kaji
seemed to be in pain, but got up again and said :
- "You couldn't kill me when you sent your failed shadows to me."
Simawi looked at him closely:
- "So you!... You are the rebel shadow!"
- "Yes, I will destroy you, you arrogant idiot."
Kaji advanced towards him while a great anger dominated Simawi. Kaji took
the arrow out of his suit, trying to hit the head of his stubborn opponent, but
Simawi this time did not give him a chance; he tightened his grip around his
neck and lifted him:
- "To hell, you rebellious slave."
Kaji tried to rid himself of Simawi's tight grip, but to no avail. While he was
struggling, he saw that he had an amulet around his neck, so he swiftly
grabbed it with his left hand and threw it away amidst the ash. He took the
collar out with his other hand, and put it tightly around Simawi's neck. Then he
ridiculed him, saying:
- "This necklace fits you."
Simawi was upset and angry when Kaji did so; he stripped him of the amulet
that protected him and put the copper collar around his neck so that he could
not switch to his shadow form. He threw him away towards a dilapidated wall
from which a bar of iron was sticking out. He hit it forcefully and it penetrated
his back and came out of his chest. he shot him with a successively throws of
his bow
Then his body has injured with four mercury arrows which completely
paralyzed him.. Then Simawi quickly picked up his last arrow, but it fell out of
his hand in the ash. He quickly tried find it.
Meanwhile, Adam had regained his full consciousness only to see Kaji
hanging on the wall, with the rod and the arrows penetrated his body. He
approached quickly calling him:
-"Kaji...Kaji... You'll be fine, don't worry, my friend."
Kaji said, in a tired voice:
- "I don't think so, my friend. I think this is the end."
Adam's eyes were full of tears:
- "Don't say this... We will finish this together like we started it."
Kaji interrupted him, and the light of his yellow eyes was fading:
- "You will finish it alone. I am sure that you will finish it... Good-bye, Adam...
Take good care of yourself and of Sarah."
At that moment, Simawi had found his missing arrow, and shot it at Kaji's
head. It was a devastating blow and his body was reduced to ashes because
he could not bear the large amount of mercury he received. The suit he wore
was the only thing left on the wall. Adam looked at the suit crying and then fell
to his knees. He reminisced when Kaji came back to his senses and
embraced him, when he saved Sarah from the grip of Cathy, when he bravely
saved the president, when they embraced in the fortified room after
eliminating the shadows, and when he gave him the two arrows before the
confrontation then Adam cried out :
- "Nooooooo.... I promise you, my friend, I will avenge you."
He stood up holding the remains of his shadow's ashes and his angry feelings
and his desire for revenge dominated him, so he headed towards Simawy,
who was busy searching for his amulet.
Adam stood directly behind him, saying:
- "Now you are alone without your amulet, coward." Simawi turned to him after
he failed to find it:
- "Are you still alive, boy!? No problem, I will now send you to your shadow."
Adam threw strong, consecutive punches which made him lose his balance;
Simawi seemed weaker than before. The two fought fiercely; each of them
used his skills, but Simawi was still strong. He was able to hit Adam some
painful hits, but Adam did not give up, he kicked him in the stomach and face,
and followed it with consecutive kicks that dropped Simawi on his chair. But
Simawi soon regained his remaining strength, and grabbed Adam's shirt

and threw him to the ground. Then he kicked his chest, head, and stomach
until he nearly finished him. Then he grabbed a huge rock and raised it over
his head to smash Adam's head. Sarah came from behind him, but she was
very tired and barely dragging her feet. She gathered her strength and
grabbed a medium-sized rock and threw it on the back of his head with all the
remaining strength she had. This made him lose his balance and the stone fell
from his hands. Then he turned to her and hit her on her face with his right
hand throwing her away, saying:
- "Damn you, fool!"
He went back to carry the stone to finish Adam, who was completely
exhausted and unable to move. Suddenly, five phosphorous bullets
penetrated Simawi's body was shot by Cathy . He fell on his throne again, and
the phosphorus in his body came into effect quickly starting from his head
coming down to his chest, until it ended in his feet. His yellow eyes closed
turned black, and he gradually started to collapse. His body's atoms splashed
and he was reduced to a pile of ashes, only his red cloak and bronze crown
survived him.
Cathy looked at Sarah and Adam in a state of extreme fatigue that they could
barely see her spectrum, and she said:
- "I'm so sorry, I understood the truth late."
She looked desperate and confused. Then she fired phosphorous on her head
to turn into a pile of ash.
Adam tried to reach Sarah crawling on his stomach as his strength had
completely faded. Indeed, he managed to do so then lay on his back and they
both reached to catch each other's hand. Then they looked at each other a
little and went unconsciousness.
The sun shone, and its warm rays began caressing the two lovers, who were
having a deep sleep after a hard day. Adam started opening his eyes while he
could not look from the sun, so he turned to Sarah while she had not yet fully
regained her consciousness, saying:
- "We did it... We did it."
She replied:
- "Yes, we are fine as you promised me."
Adam turned to his right and found his shadow next to him, his eyes froze
from amazement and then he was covered in tears, and he whispered to him:
- "My friend Kaji! Welcome back." Then he put his palm on his shadow's palm
saying:
- "I will really miss you a lot."

Then he kissed it as he used to do as a small child. Sarah seemed to be

affected by the situation:
- "Adam, you should be proud of him, he has done a great favour to all
mankind. He will be present in our minds forever."
Then she looked at her left and found her shadow next to her:
- "Look, Adam! Cathy is back too."
She silently came close to her to admonish her:
- "You did the right thing, but too late."
Then she reached out to her :
-"Okay to open a new page."
Adam got up and grabbed his girlfriend's hand, then they walked carefully
between the sprawling ashes. They turned to their shadows, then smiled and
kept walking.
Life returned to normal, and shadows returned to their humans after they
learned the lesson well. Peace is in unity, not in division and rebellion against
nature always ends with disasters.
A few days later, the president came out in a speech to his people and the
people of the whole world, a majestic public speech, and he appeared on the
podium in the White House Square and in front of the vast masses and began
the speech:

- "To our great people, and to all the peoples of the world, first, I give my
condolences to everyone who has fallen victim to these unfortunate events,
and I call upon all the world now to observe a minute of silence for our
martyrs” (after the minute of silence mourning has ended,) "I would like to
extend my thanks and gratitude to all the forces whose blood has brought this
hard victory over the forces of darkness. We will never forget everyone who
stood heroically in this confrontation in the age of mankind." A large screen
behind him showed a big picture of Malik, the library owner, and he pointed at
him, "All love, appreciation and gratitude for the spirit of Malik, the man who
guided us to the right path."
The crowds applauded greeting and appreciating the spirit of Malik. His wife
and daughter appeared from the crowd wearing black grieving over him and
their tears were mixed with a smile of pride for what he gave to all mankind.
- "And we will not forget our heroes , who had great credit in our ferocious
war."
The cameras picked Adam and Sarah in front of the crowds, and they hugged
each other with great happiness.
Then the president remained silent for a moment and continued:

- "But our victory in this particular battle would have been a false victory, had it
not been for someone, who had sacrificed to bring an end to this nightmare.
He is present with us in his spirit whose memory will remain immortal in our
hearts and the hearts of future generations."
Then the curtains revealed a steel statue............. It is a statue for Kaji holding
Ackin amulet and raising it high with his right hand.
The president continued:
- "It is Kaji, the shadow that stripped their leader of the amulet and conquered
the shadows forever."
The crowds cheered:
"Kaji... Kaji..." in a moving scene. Sarah embraced Adam warmly, and they
had mixed feelings of deep happiness and sadness, for in their eyes a mixture
of tears, joy and the pain of separation. Sarah said:
- "You should be proud of your shadow forever."
- "Of course, I am."
After a few days passed, at the old foothill, the shadow that was guarding
Cathy removed the ashes from the entrance to the cave and stood up to see
the size of the damage that took place. Then he turned left and right and saw
something shining from afar, reflecting the sunlight. He approached it and
found it was the Ackin amulet. He picked it up and wore it.
