DANFOSS REFRIGERATION THERMOSTATS

INTRODUCTION
KP thermostats are temperature-controlled electrical switches.
All KP thermostats have a single pole double throw (SPDT) changeover
switch. The position of the switch depends on the thermostat setting and
the bulb temperature.
A KP thermostat can be directly connected to single-phase a.c. motors of
up to about 2.7 hp, or installed in the control current circuit of d.c. motors
and large a.c. motors.

ALCO TF115 TEMPERATURE CONTROLS
The TF115 Temperature Controls are designed to sense space or
surface temperatures in cooling or heating applications for cycling
and alarm applications. Maximum application flexibility is pro-
vided by using a heavy-duty 24 amp single pole double throw
SPDT switch and temperature ranges and power elements

RANCO LUBE OIL PROTECTION CONTROLS
These lube oil protection controls guard pressure-lubricated
refrigeration compressors against major damage due to loss of oil
pressure. If adequate oil pressure is lost, the built-in S30 Time
Delays Switch starts timing. If the oil pressure does not recover
within the set period, the control circuit is opened, stopping the
compressor.

NOTE: The range is the difference between the crankcase pressure and the oil pump pressure that will energize the time delay switch and lead to shut

RANCO REFRIGERANT HOSE

Refrigerant hose is a heavy duty hose designed for critical appli-
cations like commercial refrigeration. It is designed to resist
breakage from compressor vibration. The refrigerant hose is
made of teflon tubing, surrounded by a braided 304 stainless
steel wire.

DESCRIPTION
The A419 Series control is a line voltage, single-stage, elec-
tronic temperature control with a Single-Pole, Double-Throw
(SPDT) output relay. It has heating or cooling modes of
operation with an adjustable set point and differential, a
lockable keypad, an adjustable anti-short cycle delay, and
binary input for temperature offset. The A419 combines
remote sensing capability and interchangeable sensors with
electronic accuracy, all in a NEMA 1 high-impact plastic

JOHNSON CONTROLS P70 SERIES SINGLE-POLE DUAL PRESSURE CONTROL

DESCRIPTION
This P70 Series of dual pressure controls employs a SPST switch, that is
opened when either high pressure or low pressure beyond the control set-
tings is sensed at the control’s two bellows sensing elements. The
load-carrying contacts provide direct control of AC motors within the con-
trol’s rating. These controls provide close high-open low (low pressure) or
open high-close low (high pressure) contact action.

DESCRIPTION
The P72 Series of controls employs a set of DPST contacts that are opened and closed by the pres-
sure actuated bellows. The heavy duty load-carrying contacts provide direct control of motors having
integral line-interrupting overload protectors up to three horsepower, 240 volt, single phase. Starter is
unnecessary. Primarily used on air-conditioning and refrigeration applications but also used to con-
trol air, water, and lube oil pressure.

JOHNSON CONTROLS P70 SERIES SINGLE-POLE LOW-PRESSURE CONTROL

DESCRIPTION
This P70 Series of controls employs a set of switch contacts that are opened and closed by
the movement of pressure actuated bellows. The load-carrying contacts provide direct con-
trol of AC motors within the control rating. Note the electrical rating chart for specific models.
These controls are available with either close high-open low, open high-close low, or SPDT
contact action.

VALVE
DESCRIPTION
The V46 is a pressure actuated, modulating valve that is suitable for use
either on closed or open systems. Direct acting valves open on pressure
increase. This type of valve is primarily used to regulate the flow of water
or glycol to a water cooled condenser on a refrigeration system. Reverse
acting valves open on pressure decrease and are generally used in paral-
lel with a direct-acting valve or for bypass operation.

ALCO FD113-ZU(K) OIL PRESSURE SAFETY CONTROLS
The FD113 Oil Pressure Safety Control senses the effective oil pressure on pressure lubricate
compressors. If inadequate oil pressure exists, a time delay is energized. If the oil pressure
does not recover to safe levels within the time delay setting, the compressor is shut down. The
time delay allows the compressor adequate time to establish oil pressure on start up and avoids
nuisance shutdowns on pressure drop of short duration during the run cycle.
Maximum application flexibility is assured by providing an adjustable differential pressure switch
which can be adjusted to the compressor’s minimum required oil pressure needs and an adjust-
able electronic time delay which allows you to select the length of time the compressor runs
below the minimum pressure before shutdown. The minimum pressure setting and time delay
values specified by the compressor manufacturer should be used when installing the FD113
control.

• Pressure range adjustable from 4 to 65 PSID; Timer start
pressure-timer stop pressure is 3 PSID above timer start pressure.
• A SPDT switch is used in the pressure portion of the control which allows the
addition of a “safe light” if desired.
• Electronic timer is Timer-Adjustable from 20 to 150 seconds.
• Supply voltage - 24 to 240 Volt AC/DC. Timing unaffected by voltage or ambi-
ent temperature variations.
• A SPDT Manual Reset Switch is used in the Timer Module. Upon time-out,
the compressor is stopped and an alarm circuit is energized. To restart the
compressor and de-energize the alarm circuit, the reset button is pushed. SPECIFICATIONS
