Mercedes-Benz is one of the largest luxury

car manufacturers in India. They have one of
the largest line-ups of cars in the Indian
market. One of the most luxurious cars that
the manufacturer sells in the Indian market is
the Maybach S-Class. It is a much more
premium than the regular S-Class. It is
extremely expensive and for the same reason
not everyone can actually buy this sedan.
Even people who have bought this sedan
have worked hard for years to own this.
Many Indian celebrities have this sedan in
their garage we have featured some of them
on our website in the past. However, a 33-
year-old man now broken the record and
become the youngest owner of a Mercedes-
Maybach S-Class.

Abhishek’s Maybach S 680

Recently Abhishek ‘Monty’ Agarwal, who is

33 years old, bought a brand new Mercedes-
Maybach S 680 luxury sedan. He has now
become the youngest person in the country
to own a Maybach sedan in the country.
Abhishek is the founder of Purple Style Labs
which is currently one of the largest fashion
houses of India. He took the delivery of the
flagship luxury sedan in Mumbai. The
images of Abhishek taking the delivery of
his brand new luxury sedan have surfaced
online and the pictures were actually clicked
by a celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani on
Instagram.

Another thing to notice on Abhishek’s

Maybach is the registration plate. It gets the
Bharat registration plate which allows him to
transfer or drive his car to any of the states
and Union Territories without any issue.
Usually people who own a regular
registration number have to get the
registration number changed or transferred
whenever they get transferred from one state
to another. Maybach already offers a long
list of luxury features. However, just like
any luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes also
offers customisation options and Abhishek
has also opted for some of them.

Coming to the Maybach S680 sedan, it is

based on the standard S-Class sedan
however it is much more longer. It gets 180
mm longer wheelbase to be precise. This
makes the cabin extremely spacious for the
rear passengers. The Maybach S 680 is
almost 5.5 meters long. It is currently one of
the longest cars available on sale in the
market. As mentioned above, it is one of the
most luxurious sedans in the market and it is
available with a very unique feature which
Mercedes-Benz calls “doormen”. This
feature allows passenger to do a hand
gesture and close the door automatically.
Even the driver gets a dedicated button to
operate the rear doors.

Most of the features on the Maybach S680

can be controlled from the rear seat. The
Mercedes-Maybach S 680 is powered by a
6.0-litre turbocharged V12 engine, which is
currently the largest engine offered by
Mercedes-Benz in India. This engine
generates a maximum of 610 Ps and 900 Nm
of peak torque. The sedan is mated to a 9-
speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-
Benz’s 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive and 19-
inch alloy wheels are offered as standard.
However, the owners can upsize the wheels
to 20- or 21-inch wheels. The prices for
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class starts at Rs 3.80
crore and it goes up depending on the
optional extras.

Mahindra XUV400 EV
on massive discount
before launch of new
Nexon.EV

While the heavily revised Tata Nexon.EV

has been making headlines ahead of its
launch, its direct rival, the Mahindra
XUV400, has some surprises for prospective
buyers. Mahindra has announced significant
discounts for the XUV400, the only all-
electric model in its current lineup. Dealer
sources have confirmed that Mahindra is
offering a flat cash discount worth Rs 1.25
lakh, which is substantial considering what
the vehicle has to offer.

However, there’s a catch. This flat cash

discount of Rs 1.25 lakh is being offered on
only those units of the XUV400 that do not
have electronic stability control (ESC) as
standard. For those who don’t know, the
Mahindra XUV400 was recently updated
with ESC a few weeks ago. Therefore, the
cash discount is applicable only to those
models left in stock with dealers that came
before the updated XUV400 was announced.

This significant cash discount on the

Mahindra XUV400 comes at a time when
Tata Motors is gearing up for the official
launch of the all-new Tata Nexon.EV. The
all-electric compact SUV from Tata Motors
has been heavily updated inside and out,
featuring a completely new exterior design
and cabin layout, along with several new
exterior and interior comfort and
convenience features and standard safety
features. Tata Motors will be launching the
all-new Nexon.EV on September 14th in two
versions – Medium Range and Long Range,
across three trim levels – Creative, Fearless,
and Empowered.

In comparison, the Mahindra XUV400,

which was launched in India in January
2023, is being offered in two variants – EC
and EL. Both of these variants have a front-
mounted electric motor that generates 150
PS of maximum power and 310 Nm of
maximum torque. However, while the EC
variant has a 34.5 kWh battery claiming 375
km of range, the EL variant comes with a
39.4 kWh battery pack that claims to deliver
456 km of maximum range.

Discounts on other Mahindra

cars
In addition to the heavy discounts on the
XUV400, Mahindra is offering significant
benefits of up to Rs 73,000 on the Marazzo,
Rs 71,000 on the XUV300, Rs 50,000 on the
Bolero Neo, and Rs 60,000 on the Bolero.
However, there are no discounts on the Thar,
Scorpio-N, and XUV700, as these three
SUVs are already commanding extensive
waiting periods.

While there are no new product launches

from Mahindra planned ahead of this festive
season, the brand is expected to unveil the
five-door version of the Thar off-roader in
the first quarter of 2024. Like the three-door
version, the five-door Thar will have an
upright stance but will come with more
features such as a push start-stop button,
auto AC, a bigger touchscreen infotainment
system, and a sunroof.
