PROTECTIVE MEASURES USED BY NURSING PERSONNEL TO CARRY OUT THEIR ACTIVITIES.

 Use of mouth covers in potentially contagious patients.


 Use of gowns.
 Use of gloves.
 Eye protection.
 Frequent hand washing in any technique.
 Proper use of RPBI.
 Do not wear clothing accessories.
 Wear short nails without nail polish.
 Treat blood products and organic fluids as if they were infectious.
 Use disposable needles and syringes that should not be covered or capped with their sheaths after use.
 Maintain clear and friendlycommunication with patients.
 The attitude of healthcare personnel should generaterespect and confidence in the patient.
 Disinfection methods.
 Work areas should be disinfected after spills of blood or body fluids and at the end of work.
