(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002.
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001.
(3) On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, press the HYD pushbutton switch P/BSW. Mak
e sure that the HYD page is shown on the lower Display Unit (DU) of the ECAM.
(4) Make sure that the ECAM does not show any of these conditions;
- low air pressure in the Yellow reservoir,
- low fluid level in the Yellow reservoir.
(5) If necessary, pressurize the reservoir Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002.
(6) If necessary, add fluid to the reservoir Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001.
(7) On the overhead panel 40VU, press the PTU/AUTO P/BSW (the OFF light comes on).
(8) On the overhead panel 40VU, make sure that the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP P/BSW is set to on. (FAUL
T and OFF lights are out).

** ON A/C FSN 001-001, 004-005, 007-009, 011-011, 014-014, 017-025, 028-038, 040-046

OVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUI
PMENT.

CAUTION: DO NOT START OR DRY MOTOR THE ENGINES WITH A HYDRAULIC GROUND POWER SUPPLY C
ONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE PUMPS.

ACTION RESULT
1.Dry-motor the right (No. 2) engine Ref. AMM TA - the right (No. 2) engine turns and causes the
SK 71-00-00-710-001. engine-driven pump of the Yellow hydraulic sy
stem to turn.
On the ECAM upper DU:
- the speed of the right (No. 2) engine is approx
imately 20% N2 RPM.
On the ECAM lower DU:
- the pressure in the Yellow hydraulic system is
3000 +100 -100 psi.
2.On the overhead panel 40VU: On the overhead panel 40VU:
- press the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP P/BSW. - the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP OFF light comes o
n.
On the ECAM lower DU:
- the vertical line between the EDP box and the
system indication changes from green to am
ber.
- the engine pump symbol of the Yellow hydrau
lic system changes from green in-line to amb
er cross-line.
- the pressure in the Yellow hydraulic system d
ecreases to 0 psi.
On the overhead panel 40VU: On the overhead panel 40VU:
- press the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP P/BSW. - the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP OFF light goes off.
On the ECAM lower DU:
- the pressure in the Yellow hydraulic system in
creases to 3000 +100 -100 psi.

3.Stop the dry-motoring of the right (No. 2) engine On the ECAM lower DU:
Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-001. - the pressure in the Yellow hydraulic system d
ecreases to 0 psi.

5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) On the overhead panel 40VU, press and release the PTU/AUTO P/BSW, (the OFF light goes out).
(2) Do the EIS stop procedure
Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002.
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002.
