I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:
A. identify the different element of a story through structuralist/formalist;
B. analyze a short story by identifying its basic elements;
C. appreciate the use of multimedia in sharing the lessons learned from a
short story
A. Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other text
types serve as vehicles of expressing and resolving conflicts among individuals
or groups; also, how to use strategies in critical reading, listening, and viewing,
and affirmation and negation markers to deliver impromptu and extemporaneous
speeches
B. Performance Standard
The learner skillfully delivers a speech for a special occasion through utilizing
effective verbal and non-verbal strategies and ICT resources.
C. Learning Competency
Overall artistic value of the structure and elements of the selection
(structuralist/formalist)
