Manggahan Elementary School conducted its early registration for the incoming kindergarten and grade 1 students for the 2023-2024 school year from May 10 to June 9, 2023. Teachers had a coordination meeting led by the guidance advocate to prepare. A parents' orientation was also held. Posters, online announcements, and coordination with local leaders informed the community. The early registration allows the school to prepare for the incoming school year by making necessary adjustments. All concerned teachers participated diligently in the early registration.

B. Program Description (Brief Narrative Report)


Early registration ensures the right of all school-aged learners to enroll and be equally provided with quality,
accessible, relevant, and liberating basic education. With the shift of the beginning of the school year (SY) from June to
August in the previous years, the Department amends the schedule of the conduct of early registration in Paragraph V.A
which shall read as follows: Early registration for the school year 2023-2024 of incoming Kindergarten, Grades 1, 7, and
11 learners in public schools shall be conducted from May 1O to June 9, 2023. 3. Also, this reiterates the provision in DO
03, s. 2018, that all incoming learners enrolling in Kindergarten and Grades 1, 7, and 11 in all public elementary and
secondary schools shall pre-register or participate in the early registration to allow DepEd to make the necessary
preparations and adjustments of plans for the incoming SY 2023-2024.

Manggahan Elementary School has been religiously participating in this important activity for our learners. A
coordination meeting among Kinder and Grade One Teachers was conducted on May 9, 2023, headed by our Guidance
Advocate Mrs. Edelyn O. Dionco and Master Teachers in preparation for the launching of Early Registration on May 10,
2023. All concerned teachers were diligent in participating and doing their assigned task for the early registration.
Parent’s Orientation was conducted among kinder and grade one parents as part of our launching of early registration.
Aside from this, posters, online platforms, and barangay coordination have been made to ensure that the community is
aware of the early registration and encourage the parents to enroll their children following the requirements needed.
Together as one, another activity for the school year 2023-2024 has been unlocked and successfully done.

Early Registration is conducted every year to allow DepEd "make the necessary preparations and adjustments of
plans” for the incoming school year. Indeed, the said activity has paved the way for the school and the teachers as well to
prepare for the incoming school year.
