ERS 37045857. + THIRD ANGLE PROJECTION DESCRIPTION DATE ‘APPROVED 0 | Preliminary Issue THIS DOCUMENT SHALL BE REVISED IN ITS ENTIRETY. ALL SHEETS OF THIS DOCUMENT ARE THE SAME. REVISION LEVEL AS INDICATED IN THE REVISION BLOCK. HRSG PIPING INTERFACE DEFINITION TO SUPPORT PIPI ANALYSIS TEBLED PRACTICES @ GE Power Generation SCHENECTADY, NY HRSG PIPING INTERFACE DEFINITION TO SUPPORT PIPING ANALYSIS Or SE] PEO B27 ‘BWENO "“370A5857 STO: SHE SET 1of8 A "STOA5@57 Pal ' 1.0 20 3.0 INTENTION OF SPECIFICATION ‘The intent of this specification, HRSG Pi for the complete piping runs from the HRSG to the balance of plant equ Body Specification shall be reviewed and used to provide any job specific requirements. ‘The Supplier shall be responsible to review Section 3.0, “APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS”, of the HRSG. Main Body Specification to determine other applicable documents not explicitly referenced herein. DESCRIPTION ‘The piping flexibility analyses including the HRSG Supplier’s piping shall be performed by the AE Piping runs over 24 inch (63.5mm) nominal diameter with operating pressure exceeding 160 psi (11 bars) and/or operating temperatures exceeding 250 deg F (120 deg C), where the HRSG interfaces, with plant piping, the requirements of this Appendix applies. HRSG internal piping and piping running from one section the HRSG to another on the same units are excluded from this interface information requirement. ‘This analysis approach does not relieve the HRSG Supplier of design responsibility for the piping, which is supplied as part of the HRSG scope of supply. nor for the piping support design in the HRSG scope of supply. It does not relieve the HRSG Supplier of their responsibility to meet the design codes applicable to his scope of work CODES AND STANDARDS ‘The HRSG Terminal Point and Interface Definition shall be in accordance with the latest issue in effect (unless otherwise noted), at time of Purchase Order, of Codes and Standards of the following organizations and societies. In addition, the Supplier shall comply with all applicable country and local codes. 3.1 United States Codes and Standards 3.1.1 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) 3.1.1.1 ASME Section] - Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code 3.1.1.2. ASME B31.1 - Power Piping 3.1.2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 3.1.2.1 Title 29 - Labor; Occupational Safety & Health Administration TRAIT ‘GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY | STE | APPENDIC ‘DWE oe = PM BaD Yoox ORE EET 2of8 S70A5857 i 3 0 v 40 TECHNICAL REQUIREME! 4a 42 General Requ 4A 412 413 4d 4.7 418 ements, To support the detailed modeling of the subject piping, the HRSG Supplier shall provide the structural characteristics of the support and restraint structures where the pipe enters the physical HRSG envelope. ‘These characteristics are to include stiffness, load and displacement limitations that can be tolerated by the HRSG. ‘This information is to be provided by the HRSG supplier in the general form of a dimensioned isometric piping sketch showing the support and restraint locations, together with a fill in table of stiffness motion limitations and load capacity (interface Loads). (Reference Appendix 2), ‘The Interface Loads, which are typically based on dead weight, pressure and thermal movement within the HRSG Supplier’s scope, shall be used by the plant piping designer as load limits at the Interface Point ‘This information shall be used by the AB in the piping analysis, design and support requirements determination. If the choice of anchor location makes HRSG heat transfer surface supports part of the piping analysis, then such heat transfer surface supports shall not be subject to revision as a result of the overall pipe analysis. If'support requirements for the entire piping run dictate that an HRSG supply seope piping support needs to be modified, then discussions between the AE piping designer and the HRSG Supplier shall be held to facilitate an execution agreeable to both parties and GE. ‘The subject information required here is to be provided so that the overall piping, analysis can be done in an orderly fashion to avoid unnecessary design iterations as well as shop and field rework DESIGN DATA 424 422 ‘The HRSG Supplier shall define a theoretical anchor point on their equipment. For example, this might be the end of the heating surface outlet header. This is represented as Point 1 on Figure 1. Where required, more than one anchor point may be defined. At each anchor point, all six translations and rotations stiffness shall be defined. Similarly the thermal movements of this anchor point shall be defined in all six potential modes, as are the HRSG wind and seismic drift magnitudes. Anchor Displacement Limits shall also be specified in all six modes. ‘These are the limits of motion that can be absorbed by the HRSG in pressure part distortion, without affecting component life. The subject Anchor and Interface points shall be located by specifying dimensions to physical references such as grade and HRSG support column centerlines. 4.24 The HRSG Supplier's piping run between the anchor point and the HRSG terminal point shall be defined in sufficient detail to show location and properties of pipe support elements, pipe sizes with nominal wall pipe run geometry, valve and operator weights and locations, as well as insulation diameter and density. For branch line connections, appropriate stress intensification factors (SIF) shall be stated if non-standard. 4.2.5 Allowable terminal point loads at Point 2 of Figure 1, shall be specified for each line’s supply scope terminal point. 4.2.6 Figure 1 and Table 1 show an example of such submittal sheets. As many sheets, as required for full definition, shall be submitted for each piping run over 2!4inch (63.5mm) nominal diameter. All support or restraint points in the HRSG Supplier's scope of supply shall be identified and specified. The table of stiffiness and motion limits shall be completely filled in without voids (Zero values are to be shown as “0”. not blanks). 4.2.7 The above stiffness, motions and limits, together with the Operating Temperature and Pressure shall be provided for all Operating Cases, so that for each operating case a comprehensive piping analysis can be performed. 4.2.8.
