Introduction
SunExpress was founded in Antalya in October 1989, the joint venture of world’s leading
airlines Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa. They serve 24 domestic destinations and 63
international destinations in 30 countries, as of July 2023.
Their headquarters is in sunny Antalya, which is known as the touristic capital of Turkey.
Another key hub is Izmir on Turkey’s Aegean coast. The company’s second
headquarters is in Gateway Gardens in Frankfurt am Main.
Through their order for 50 new Boeing 737 aircraft in 2014, they have made insignificant
investments in their fleet, making it one of the youngest in Europe. They have received
18 new Boeing 737-800 NGs, with another 32 due to be delivered by 2024. In 2022
SunExpress was named the “World ‘s Best Leisure Airline” in 2022 by Skytrax. In 2023
SunExpress was named Best Leisure Airline in Europe at the World Airline Awards 2023,
which is based on the votes of more than 20 million passengers across the world.
SunExpress in this phase of expansion are looking to recruit further experienced B737NG
Captains to join their operation for long term opportunities as well as accepting
applications from non-type rated Captains for Direct Entry B737 opportunities. Further
details below.
Destinations:
NON-RATED: Initial 3-year contract term on offer, after which an unlimited contract can be
offered by SunExpress (a bank guarantee letter is required with the amount of €15,000).
Accommodation
SunExpress provides accommodation during the ground and simulator training. When pilot
joins his/her base first time upon completion of ground and simulator training, 7 days
company paid accommodation is provided additionally
✈ For the employee and his family members 80% will be paid by employer, 20% will be paid
by employee.
✈ Loss of license insurance for the captains with the insurance limit of 120.000€ and pays
the premium covering their one-year salary. If the insurance limit exceeds their 1-year
salary, the premium calculated for the exceeding difference will be paid by the pilot
Transportation
Within the company’s geographic boundaries, transportation is provided 24/7 to and from
your home according to your flight schedule.
Travel Benefits
Discount ticket privileges are available from SunExpress, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa and
more than other 50 airlines in all around the world. In addition to yourself, if you are
married your ticket privileges may also be used by your spouse and your children If you are
single – your fiancé/e, as well as your mother, father, and siblings.
You can also enjoy traveling to other countries with various airlines. You may buy discounted
tickets from partnered airlines after 6 months of employment.
Other benefits
Meal allowance of 5.00€ for training and duty.
Clothing allowance of 80€ per year.
1. Important remark: All wages are defined in € (Euro) currency. At the end of each month,
salaries are paid in ₺ or € (according to the preferences). All wages are applied on Net amounts.

4. “Ready entry” or “type rated” new employment: CPT’s who have experience on an A/C
heavier than 27.000 MTOW will have 1-year SunExpress seniority for each of his/her 3 years (36
months seniority vs. 12 months SXS seniority) CPT seniority at other airlines.
5. Night Duty: A duty period encroaching any portion of the period between 02:00 and 04:59
in the time zone to which the crew is acclimatized.

Example: A CPT who has 4 legs of duty will have additional compensation of 30€ on top of overtime
payment (If applicable).
Monthly pay:
Calculated at 51-80 hrs of flight per month, the below figures do not include night duty,
cycle compensation and overtime. This table is made for illustration purposes of the
estimated monthly earnings.
• In the low season (Winter) the pilot can expect to fly an average of 40-50 hrs per month.
• In High Season (Summer) the pilot can expect to fly an average of 80-100 hrs per month
For example, base salary for a 7 days-off commuting-contract “will be 23/30 of a full-time
contract.
Ground trainings
3,5 weeks for airline experienced pilots,
4,5 weeks for non-type Captains.
Simulator training
For ready entry pilots having valid B737NG minimum 4 slots simulator training including LVO
and 1 Slot Proficiency Check.
For pilots having type rating Training, 5 FTD and 14 simulator slots and one slot proficiency
Check are scheduled.
LIFUS training Pilots with valid B737NG, minimum 18 sectors line training and 4 sectors line
checks.
Pilots with jet experience (without B737NG) are scheduled for a minimum of 30 sectors line
training and 4 sector line check. Pilots without jet experience (without B737NG) pilots are
scheduled minimum 40 sectors line training and 4 sectors line check.
Note: Type Rating training for pilots having EASA License are outsourced. After successful
completion of TR training, company conversion training is provided by SunExpress.
SG Aviation Services will coordinate your application through the screening and selection
process.
1. Application Form online –Sg Aviation Services will provide you with the web link to
complete this.
During this phase SG Aviation will provide a full briefing of the SunExpress assignment
discussing any queries that you may have and providing a full outline of
documentation/reference requirements.
SunExpress will review your application and profile and advise if they wish to proceed with
the screening process.
• Post initial documentation review and approval, SunExpress will send you an English
proficiency test & Psychometrics tests to complete.
• More details can be provided before this stage.
Assessments will be held in Antalya over 2-day period maximum 5 days, to include (SIM /
Interview & in person documentation check) with ticketing and accommodation provided by
the airline to attend.
SunExpress will confirm if candidates have been successful at screening and shall notify SG
Aviation.

2. No accident/incident Letters from all past employers
3. Reference Letters from the employers in the past 5 years confirming dates of employment
and flying hours, on the airline headed paper, signed & stamped.
