I-Day 33
I-Day 33
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards Demonstrates understanding of key concepts of factors of polynomials, rational
algebraic expressions, linear equations and inequalities in two variables and linear
functions.
B. Performance Standards 1. Is able to formulate real-life problems involving factors of polynomials, rational
algebraic expressions, linear equations and inequalities in two variables, systems
of linear equations and inequalities in two variables, and linear functions, and
solve these problems accurately using a variety of strategies.
Learning Competency: Solves a system of linear equations in two variables by (a)
graphing (M8AL-Ii-j-1)
Learning Objectives:
C. Learning Competencies/
1. Recall on the steps in graphing systems of linear equations.
Objectives
2. Solve systems of linear equations by graphing.
3. Demonstrate appreciation on graphing as an important skill needed to solve
systems of linear equations.

IV. PROCEDURES
Answer: Graphing
B. Establishing a purpose for the The teacher let the students realize that the term graphing is a method that can
lesson be used to solve systems of linear equations.
C. Presenting examples/
The teacher let the students, in groups of three, do Activity 1 found in pages 268 -
instances of the new lesson 269 of the Learner’s Module.
D. Discussing new concepts and The teacher discusses with the students the process of arriving at the answer of
practicing new skills #1
each item in Activity 1.
Answer Key: Found on pages 297-298 of the teacher’s guide
The teacher together with the students will answer some items and answer the
questions that follow found on pages 270-271 in the Learner’s Module.
E. Discussing new concepts and
Note: The teacher must emphasize that the graph can be intersecting (one
practicing new skills #2 solution), parallel (no solution), and coinciding (infinitely many solutions).

V. REMARKS
Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress. What
works? What else needs to be done to help the pupils/students learn? Identify what help your
