2.1 UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Human resource management is a process of dealing with various problems in the scope
of employees, employees, managers, and all workers who support all activities of the
organization, institution or company to achieve the goals that have been set.

The HR Division is the division that manages HR management and will provide knowledge
(about the company), required equipment, training, administrative services, coaching, legal
advice, as well as supervision and talent management. All of these things are needed to
achieve company goals.

Not only that, this division also has the duty and responsibility to develop the company by
implementing all the values and corporate culture. And also ensure that the company has a
good and solid team and understands employee empowerment.

2.2 HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FUCTION

There are several functions possessed by HR management that you need to know and can
practice in the company, namely:

1. Organizing and Managing Workers

This function has three important steps, namely planning, drawing and selection. These three
stages are carried out in order to get a qualified workforce so that they can work optimally
according to their job descriptions.

2. Evaluation

The HR Division is responsible for a series of coaching, monitoring and evaluation of

selected candidates or employees. Evaluation is carried out with reference to performance
standards that have been previously prepared by the HR Division.

3. Replacement or Satisfaction

HR management also has the function of providing awards or providing remuneration

directly or indirectly, in the form of money or goods to employees as a form of compensation
from the company. Giving a good and fair award will affect the work climate in a company.

4. Training center and advisor

This training or training is a learning process to acquire a skill, regulation, concept or attitude
to improve the performance of employees. Even the training itself has been regulated in a law
in 2003. Not only conducting training, but management must also find solutions to the
obstacles experienced by HR so that performance remains optimal and of high quality.

5. Make a relationship

Management also has a duty to build relationships with external parties related to HR, such as
trade unions or the like. With the aim that the work climate becomes conducive because it
can solve problems properly and without the need to take excessive action.

6. Trouble shooting

The HR Division is responsible for overcoming problems that often arise for its employees.
Analyze each problem and find the best solution to solve it.

7. Handling worker health and safety

HR management is tasked with creating safe and healthy conditions, in order to avoid
unwanted and risky things such as accidents experienced by workers. The work safety and
health of all employees is the responsibility of this division.

2.3 HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT GOALS

According to Sedarmayanti, author of Human Resources and Work Productivity (2009), there
are 4 goals for human resource management, namely:

1. Social Goals

This goal is for the organization to be socially responsible for the challenges and needs that
occur in society, especially within the scope of the organization and reduce the effects of
negative or detrimental impacts that will arise.

2. Organizational Goals

Management goals as organizational are formal goals that are arranged to assist the company
in achieving its goals. This goal introduces that human resource management exists (exist).

3. Functional Purpose

The next goal of human resource management is the functional objective. Namely to maintain
the contribution of human resources in each company department is needed. These resources
are maintained in order to provide an optimal contribution.

4. Individual Goals Or Personal Goals

In the organization must also be considered by every manager, especially human resource
management, and must be directed to the overall organizational goals (overall, organizational
objectives).

2.4 BENEFITS OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

HR management benefits

Human Resources (HR) is an important asset in a company so it needs to be designed

effectively. Some of the benefits that can be obtained from human resource management (P.
Siagian: 1994) include:

1. Companies can make good use of existing Human Resources (HR)

Human resource managers in a company need to pay attention to the advantages and
disadvantages of the company, such as the number of available employees, each working
period, knowledge and skills possessed, talents that need to be developed, and the interests of
the employees concerned.

2. The productivity of existing employees is increasing

Good Human Resource Management (HRM) will certainly proportionality in the placement
of employee formations. Too many employees are also not good for the company and can
have an impact on employee morale. Lack of employees is also not good for the company
will result in work delays. So it has to be right.

3. Determine the need for labor or employees

The need for future workforce both in terms of numbers and qualifications to fill certain
formations and carry out new activities.

Large companies need to have strategic planning. The use and future needs of human
resources can include the number of employees registered in higher positions, how many
vacancies are vacant, the number of employees needed at that time, to the number of
qualified employees.

4. Handling of employment information

Handling of information on human resources owned may include the tenure of each
employee, marital status, benefits, income, education and training that has been achieved,
special skills possessed by employees, and positions that have occurred.

5. Study

Before planning, research is needed. Including research on Human Resource Management.

This is done to obtain an accurate description and information to be the basis for human
resource management activities.
2.5 REASONS FOR CHOOSING A MAJOR IN HUMAN RESOURCE
MANAGEMENT

I chose the HR management major because I think it fits what I The first time I
graduated from high school and decided to continue my education it did not cross my mind to
choose to study Human Resource Management or in Indonesian it is Human Resource
Management (MSDM).

After graduating, I was really confused about what college major was right for me
because I had many interests.

My parents chose me to choose the two majors available, Accounting and Management. I am
also looking for information about the second description above which one is suitable for me.
And my final decision is Management because I see that there is a concentration of HR in
which there is auxiliary knowledge from the field that I am interested in. want in the future, I
want to be a manager.

HR management major is also in accordance with my abilities, I like to study leadership

science, therefore I choose HR management major.

want to learn to be a leadership and entrepreneurship spirit properly and correctly.

And my reason for choosing a major in Human Resource Management is

First, there are various career paths available for those who want to work in the
management field. Many goals here work on the management or management of the
organization who is responsible for ensuring investment safety, managing budgets, ensuring
employee standards and allocating limited resources to get the maximum possible results, and
of course much more. so they can target private and public companies, according to their
respective passions, of course.

Second, management majors also have the organizational skills that will be needed in
administrative roles, as well as event planning. Yups, here HR management is definitely
needed in various fields. As stated at the beginning, we need management to manage
everything so that it can run according to the existing corridor.

Third, it suits me very well because my management major can develop myself into a
manager or entrepreneur who has integrity, is intellectual and has the ability to communicate,
analyze, make decisions and solve problems, use information-communication technology,
and work in teams and organizations both in the market and in the marketplace. domestic and
global based on moral, ethical and professional values to serve the community. Amazing isn't
it? Yupss, the in-laws' dream isn't it.

Fourth, this is the most important management of the most important things in
everyday life. Simply put, we all have goals in any case. In order for our goals to be achieved
properly, management must be well coordinated. Management has many roles, among others,
as Interpersonal, informational, in decision making. So that's it, by studying management,
there are certainly many positive things that I can do both for myself and for the environment
around me.

And how important is HR in the company?

We know that with globalization, especially changes in technology, things are

becoming more dynamic-easy and fast-changing, as well as the business environment. The
millennial generation, which determines the productive age, becomes a problem, in terms of
loyalty to the company.

Management which is the task of people in the HR field is very important in the
company because employees are one of the keys to the company's success.

In conclusion, the field of HRM is nothing but knowledge that is easy to overlook,
and a role that is as important as other fields of expertise

And also, in problems there will always be, but keep trying and hope well because
there is always a way for people who try. As Grandmother B.J Habibie said, "Failure only
happens when we give up."
CHAPTER III

CLOSING

3.1 CLOSING

From the explanation above, we can see how important management is in our lives.
both in everyday life and in society and in the organization of a company. Without good
management, it can be said that an organization will not be able to run well. without HR
management an organization will not run because HR is the main resource in an organization
in the company.

Therefore management knowledge is very important for all of us, both for
entrepreneurs and leaders. Therefore, I chose the management major to achieve my dream of
becoming a manager in the future.

So many articles that I made, I realize there are still many shortcomings. I will accept
criticism and suggestions

thank you.
