SUBJECT : Year-Round Health and Wellness Implementation Program

Date : May 6, 2021

Pursuant to CSC Memorandum Circular No. 8, s. 2011 which reiterates CSC


Memorandum Circular No. 38. s. 1992, on Physical and Mental Fitness for
Government Personnel, and CSC Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 1995 that
requires the adoption of the Great Filipino Workout, this Division hereby issues
this policy on the implementation of the Division-wide and year-round Health and
Wellness Program which involves all Non-Teaching Personnel of the Division Office
and all Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel in the Districts and Schools to
provide each employee an opportunity to spare themselves from stress-related
illnesses as well as the negative impact of the pandemic brought about by COVID-
19.

In view of the above, this division initiates program BASKOG – Basic Awareness
on
Sports, Keynoted for Organizational and Godly well-being, which aims to:

1. raise employee’s awareness on the importance of health and wellness


program relative to their works,

2. maintain employee’s mental, psychosocial and physical fitness in the


discharge of their functions amidst COVID-19 pandemic,

3. develop positivity in every employee’s outlook on work productivity,


anchored on everyday spirituality in the workplace.

And so therefore, in compliance with the guidelines stipulated in the above


issuances, this office hereby adopts and enjoins all concerned to implement the

said program through varied activities aligned with the Division initiatives with the
following conditions:

1. All activities must be in consonance with IATF policies and protocols.

2. Conduct of activities must not exceed the time allotment prescribed in


CSC MC No. 8, s. 2011 (20 minutes daily or 1 hour each week).

3. For Division office personnel, it shall be done every Wednesday afternoon


of the week, while in schools depending on the time appropriateness.

4. All Teaching and Non-Teaching personnel in the Division office and in


schools are required depending on the exercises they are fitted for.

5. BMIs of each employee shall be determined to be used as basis of medical


recommendations and developmental assessment.

6. Results of this activity shall form part of the employee’s IPCRF.

Wide dissemination and compliance with this Memorandum by all concerned is


earnestly enjoined.
