 A. Definition of information technology

Technology is a word that is familiar to hear, even this technology has become a
common thing among the community. In this day and age everything has become very easy,
what’s more with the development of increasingly sophisticated technology. Many people
take advantage of technological sophistication, for example, such as being used to do
business or to make a very valuable work. Technology is a source or means to obtain
something you want, whether it is in the form of information, objects, or others to meet the
needs of their lives. Examples of information technology knowledge around are such as Hand
Phone, television, computer, radio, etc. These technologies are examples of technology that
are easy to find anywhere.

the information technology as it is today, people from the past used to use letters or
image media to obtain information, and also in the past people did not know sophisticated
technology like now. Before the paper media was used to find information, people from the
past got information from the language media or from the words that someone conveyed to
others then the person would convey the information given to the audience a lot. But this
method is no longer used since the image media appears because it is considered ineffective
information in this way because usually the information provided does not match the
incident. That’s why the image media appears to get information.

Image media is also a source of information in conveying something even though it’s
not too accurate because in the media a person’s image can only happen even though it’s not
exactly the same
 B. Benefits and role of information technology

The rapid development of information technology in various fields cannot be

separated from its role in making, storing, conveying, to spreading information. The use of
electronic devices such as television, computers, and smartphones also makes information
technology increasingly needed by the wider community.

1. Benefits in the telecommunication world

The benefits of information technology in the telecommunications world have

actually been felt by the public for a long time, even continuing to progress. In the past, you
had to write a letter when you wanted to exchange news with relatives or friends who lived
outside the city. Now, the application of information technology makes the process faster by
presenting a mobile phone or mobile phone. So that it only takes seconds for you to send a
message.

2. Benefitsbusiness world

Do you often shop at the marketplace or social media? Without information

technology, business activities involving online platforms are impossible. Therefore, a
number of business actors began to focus their marketing strategy by relying on advanced

Banking is another institution that gains maximum benefits from information

technology presence. Some benefits that you will feel are e-banking transactions through
smartphones to creating accounts online. The presence of information technology is
undeniable to help banking serve customers without having to ask them to come to the branch
office. So, you no longer need to line up or travel long distances to take care of documents to
the branch office.

these potentials, information technology has the opportunity to provide more benefits
in a number of fields and sectors. That way, people can do more optimally to achieve targeted
goals.

So technology has very useful benefits for the community, one of them is like in the
field of business. With this technology someone is getting easier to do a business. Especially
nowadays, technological abilities are getting more advanced and even the existence of this
technology is very easy to find, and the existence of technology makes it easier for people to
obtain various information that they previously did not know and also makes it easier for
someone to do various things.
