Mid-Term Project Instructions

This document outlines the requirements and milestones for a mid-term project. Students must choose a daily task and find a more efficient way to complete it. They will analyze data to support their solution and submit a final report. The report must describe the problem solving method, analyze data to justify the solution, and clearly communicate the solution. There are 4 milestones: 1) define the problem and goal, 2) state assumptions and criteria, 3) select and analyze data, 4) test and report the solution. Students will be graded based on meeting the criteria for each milestone, such as clearly defining the problem and using appropriate data analysis to support their efficient solution.
