You are going to create a short presentation.

All slides must have a consistent layout and formatting. Unless otherwise
instructed, slides should display a title and bulleted list.

1. Create a presentation of 6 slides using the file LEARN.rtf

2. Format slide 1 so that:


- a Title Slide layout is applied
- the title and subtitle are placed in the center of the slide
- your name appears after the text A guide to apprenticeships by:
- Remove master slide elements from the first slide

3. Use a master slide to display the following features on all slides:


- your name in bottom right corner
- automatic slide numbers in bottom left.
- First level bullets displayed as square bullets
- Second level bullets displayed as circle bullets
- Horizontal 3 points thick line, 3 cm from top

4. Change the layout of the slide with the title Progression Routes to a title and table.
- Create a table that contains 4 columns and 7 rows.
- Copy the data from the file TABLE.rtf and place this in the table.
- Format the table with all gridlines displayed and no cell shading, like this:

5. Insert a new row as the first row of the table and enter the heading:
Levels of Apprenticeship

6. Merge the cells in the first row and center align the heading.

7. Format rows 1 and 2 of the table to be:


- bold with a 20 points size
- filled with light grey shading (10 – 25%)

8. Apply an animation effect to the bullets in the second slide, the animation effect
must set to appear one at a time.

9. Increase the bullets level in the third slide so that:


- The first bullet is level one
- The rest of the bullets are level two

10. Create a new evidence document in your work area and take a screenshot showing
the animation effect made.

11. Apply a transitional effect to all the slides and take a screenshot showing the
transitional effect

12. Add the audio ICT-Audio.wav in the fifth slide and make sure it starts automatically
with the slide. Take screenshot evidence showing this setting.

13. Set the slideshow to loop continuously and take a screenshot showing this setting.

14. Insert a hyperlink from the text Go to the first slide in the last slide to go to the first
slide, adjust the screen-tip of the hyperlink to be Goes to the first slide. Take
screenshots showing the hyperlink and the screen-tip

15. Insert an action button in the fifth slide that opens the file ARCHAEOLOGY.pdf when
clicked. Take a screenshot showing this setting

16. Add the following text as presenter/speaker notes for the slide with the title
Progression Routes: Always get advice on the best qualification to suit you and your
future plans.

17. Print only this slide as presenter/speaker notes

18. Print slides 1 to 4 only as a handout with 2 slides to the page.

You are going to edit a document and apply the paragraph styles as defined in
the corporate house style. You may need to edit some of the styles used in the
document to meet this requirement.

19. Open the file ARCHAEOLOGY.rtf in a suitable word processing package.


- Save the document in your work area in the format of the software you are using
with the file name A190XINFO

20. Take a screenshot showing that this file has been saved and its format.

21. Change the document settings to be A4 with landscape orientation, take a


screenshot and place it in the evidence document.

22. Set all margins to 2 centimetres , take a screenshot and place it in the evidence
document .

23. Place in the header, today’s date left aligned and your name right aligned

24. Place in the footer automated page number left aligned and file size right aligned

The house style specifications for paragraphs are:

These styles have already been applied to the document

25. Check that the styles applied to the document are correct as specified and match
them to the house style specifications. Identify and correct only the settings of the
styles that are incorrect.

26. Place a screenshot in the evidence document for any modification made to the
styles.

27. Change the page layout so that the subheading Our new international course and all
the following text is displayed in two columns of equal width with a 1 centimetre
space between them

28. Import the image FORUM.jpg


- Place this at the start of the paragraph below the subheading Why Jerash?

29. Remove the bottom third of the image.

30. Resize the image so that it is 6.5 centimetres wide with the aspect ratio maintained.

31. Align the image to the:


- top of the text The city flourished through…
- left margin

32. Make sure the text wraps around the image

33. Format the first row of the table by:


- merging the three columns
- centre aligning the text in the merged cell
- shading the merged cell with a light grey background (20–40%).

34. Apply the ARC-Subhead style to the top two rows of the table.

35. Apply the ARC-Table style to the other rows in the table.

36. Make sure that:


- the table fits within the column width with no words split on text wrap
- there are no blank rows in the table
- Internal gridlines are 1 point thick and external gridlines are 3 points thick

37. Spell check and proofread the document.

38. Make sure that:

- there are no widows or orphans


- the table is not split over two columns or pages
- correct house styles have been applied as specified
- spacing between all items is consistent.

39. Save and print the document

40. Save and print the evidence document
