Enable Attachment in Oracle Forms

To enable attachments in Oracle Forms: 1. Navigate to the Application Developer responsibility and create a new document entity if one does not already exist. 2. Setup attachment at the form or function level and check the enabled checkbox. Assign categories like "Miscellaneous". 3. Choose the custom document entity created and set the primary key to store attachments in the FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS table.

We can enable attachment link in Oracle Forms with below steps:

Navigate to “Application Developer” Responsibility and choose the menu A achments > Document
Entities. Identify Document Entity exists or not. If exists then do nothing otherwise create new.

You can create a new Document Categories or use the existing categories assign to the Oracle Forms (A achments >

Document Categories)
Setup a achment at Form or Function Level and make sure Enabled checkbox is checked (A achments > A achment

Functions)
Assign categories (ex: Miscellaneous), click bu on Categories on A achment Functions Form

Setup blocks, click bu on Blocks on A achment Functions Form. Method can be Allow Change or Query Only. You can
secure by Organization, Set of Books and Business Unit, None (No Security). Context will be displayed on the title of

form
Choose the new custom document entities that we have created above (Indirect Item / HDR_ID) and set the primary key for this
custom form that will be stored in table FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS, column pk1_value to pk5_value.
Open the custom form and click A achments icon, form a achment will be appeared
