AWS S3 Storage Types Comparison

S3 provides several storage classes to match different access needs in terms of durability, availability, minimum storage duration, and costs. S3 Standard is for frequently accessed data with millisecond access. S3 Standard-IA is for infrequently accessed, long-lived data with millisecond access and a minimum storage duration of 30 days. S3 Intelligent-Tiering automatically moves objects between access tiers based on usage patterns. S3 Glacier storage classes provide low-cost archival storage with retrieval times of minutes to hours for infrequently accessed data.
