Robert Owens

ROBERT OWEN'S THEORY

He believed that people were not responsible for their actions or outcomes.

Robert Owens was a Welsh social reformer and one of the founders of the cooperative
movement. He is known for his advocacy of workers' rights and his promotion of the idea of
utopian socialism. Owens believed that people's behavior is shaped by their environment and
that by creating a cooperative community that provided good living conditions, education, and
fair working conditions, people could be transformed into better citizens.

Frederick Taylor

SCIENTIFIC MANAGEMENT THEORY

Frederick Taylor was an American mechanical engineer who is considered the father of
scientific management. Taylor believed that efficiency could be improved through the use of
scientific analysis and experimentation. He proposed that workers be trained to perform their
jobs in the most efficient manner possible and that managers be responsible for planning and
controlling the work process.

Max Weber

BUREAUCACY THEORY

Max Weber was a German sociologist and political economist who is best known for his work on
the sociology of religion and the theory of bureaucracy.Theory of Bureaucracy proposes that all
business tasks must be divided among the employees. The basis for the division of tasks should
be competencies and functional specializations. In this way, the workers will be well aware of
their role and worth in the organization and what is expected of them.
Henri Fayol

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT THEORY

Henri Fayol was a French management theorist who is known for his work on administrative
management. Fayol proposed that management involves five functions: planning, organizing,
commanding, coordinating, and controlling. He also identified 14 principles of management,
including unity of command, division of labor, and scalar chain.

George Elton Mayo

THE MANAGEMENT THEORY

George Elton Mayo was an Australian psychologist who is best known for his work on the
Hawthorne Studies, a series of experiments that examined the effects of various working
conditions on worker productivity. Mayo concluded that worker productivity was influenced by
social factors, such as group dynamics and the sense of belonging to a group.

Abraham Maslow

HIERARCHY OF NEEDS THEORY

Abraham Maslow was an American psychologist who is best known for his hierarchy of needs
theory. Maslow proposed that human needs could be arranged in a hierarchy, with basic
physiological needs at the bottom and self-actualization needs at the top. He believed that
people are motivated by the desire to satisfy their needs, and that as each need is satisfied, a
higher need becomes the focus of motivation.
Kenneth Blanchard

SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP THEORY

Kenneth Blanchard is an American management consultant and author who is best known for
his work on situational leadership. Blanchard proposed that effective leadership involves
adapting one's leadership style to the situation at hand, and that different situations require
different leadership approaches. He also developed the One Minute Manager concept, which
emphasizes setting goals and providing feedback in short, focused interactions.

Robert Greenleaf

SERVANT LEADERSHIP THEORY

Robert Greenleaf was an American management consultant who is best known for his work on
servant leadership. Greenleaf proposed that the best leaders are those who serve their
