Science 5 Q4 W3 2

This lesson plan is for a 5th grade science class on inferring the pattern in changes in the appearance of the moon. The objective is for students to infer the pattern based on an activity where they observe how the lit portion of balls and the moon change as they rotate. Students will be divided into groups to draw and observe a small ball in different positions and answer questions. Their responses will be presented and discussed to find similarities and differences. Finally, the concepts will be strengthened through a demonstration model showing the moon's phases and position relative to the earth and sun. An evaluation will assess students' mastery of the lesson.
