Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers


Pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (e). Article 11, of R. A.. No.
7836. otherwise known as the Philippines Professionalization Act of
1994 and Paragraph (a), section 6. P.D. No. 223. as amended, the
Board for Professional Teachers hereby adopt the Code of Ethics for
Professional Teachers.

PREAMBLE
Teachers are duly licensed professionals who possesses dignity and
reputation with high moral values as well as technical and
professional competence in the practice of their noble profession,
they strictly adhere to. observe, and practice this set of ethical and
moral principles, standards, and values.
Based po sa mga naexperience ko, and nakikita ko from my
teachers and even sa mga kakilala ko at sa social media. Nakikita
ko kung ano talaga yung demand ng society in terms of being a
teacher. Teachers have lots of values, dapat pag teacher ka may
dignidad ka yung reputasyon mo . Dapat mong pangalagaan yan.
Kasi you are a part of the community and you serve as a role model.

ARTICLE I – SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS


Section 1. The Philippine Constitution provides that all educational
institution shall offer quality education for all competent teachers
committed of its full realization The provision of this Code shall apply,
therefore, to all teachers in schools in the Philippines.
So sinasabi dito na ang Konstitusyon ng Pilipinas ay dapat mag-alok
ng de-kalidad na edukasyon para sa lahat ng guro nakatuon sa
buong pagsasakatuparan nito ang probisyon ng Kodigong ito ay
dapat ilapat, samakatuwid, sa lahat ng mga guro sa mga paaralan
sa Pilipinas.

Section 2. This Code covers all public and private school teachers in
all educational institutions at the preschool, primary, elementary.
and secondary levels whether academic, vocational, special,
technical, or non-formal. The term “teacher” shall include industrial
arts or vocational teachers and all other persons performing
supervisory and /or administrative functions in all school at the
aforesaid levels, whether on full time or part-time basis.
Tandaan natin na sa code of ethics na to na ang kinocover lang ay
both yung public tsaka private sa pre-school hanggang sa
secondary level lang. And kasali din yung nasa supervisory or
administrative functions in schools like the principals or yung mga
supervisors na hindi naman totally nagtuturo as long as meron silang
license.

ARTICLE 2– THE TEACHER AND THE STATE


Section 1. The schools are the nurseries of the future citizens of the
state: each teacher is a trustee of the cultural and educational
heritage of the nation and is under obligation to transmit to learners
such heritage as well as to elevate national morality, promote
national pride, cultivate love of country, instill allegiance to the
constitution and for all duly constituted authorities, and promote
obedience to the laws of the state.
Kaya isa talaga sa demand ng teacher is one that teacher is
observing love of the country. Dapat pinapakita mo yung
obligasyon mo na imotivate mo yung mga istudyante na mahalin
yung sarili nyang bansa. And promote obedience in terms sa law.
Kaya di ba during the flag ceremony when I remember during
elementary and even nung highschool ako teachers are there to
guide us kung ano ba talaga yung tamang pagkanta and
tinuturuan ng teachers ang students dun sa lyrics ng lupang hinirang.
Ano yung dapat gawin pag mag faflag on how to show respect. Isa
yun sa dapat na ginagawa obligasyon ng teacher para sa bansa.

Section 2. Every teacher or school official shall actively help carry out
the declared policies of the state, and shall take an oath to this
effect.
Kaya pag merong batas sa pilipinas at itoy naging effective na. Ikaw
as a teacher ay di ka dapat mag pakita sa public or sa state na for
example your saying ay wag mong sundin yung batas na yan . Di
naman karapat dapat . You as a teacher it's part of your obligation
na i carry out yung declared na policies. Dapat ikaw mismo yung
nag momotivate or you are the one persuading the other people or
yung state na sundin yung batas na yun. Hindi dapat ikaw
nangunguna na hindi sundin ang isang batas.

Section 3. In the interest of the State and of the Filipino people as


much as of his own. every teacher shall be physically, mentally and
morally fit.
Kaya may mga sa medical once na mag apply kayo sa ibang
school specially sa public schools. They have this neuro exam. Dun
sa neuro na yun they were checking if you are mentally or morally fit
kung kaya mo ba talaga magturo and of course may medically din
to check if you are physically fit.

Section 4. Every teacher shall possess and actualize a full


commitment and devotion to duty.
Kaya as much as possible if you become a teacher. Parang
vocation na sya na dapat yung buhay mo ilalaan mo sa pag tuturo.
Although there are things that might happened yung tipong dapat
fully committed ka parang asawa mo na yung pagtuturo sa sobrang
dami nga namang ginagawa and duties of the teacher. kaya most
of the time sinasabi nila na or the advice na bago ka daw magturo
e dapat may jowa kana kasi sometimes teachers forget na yung
pakikipag relasyon kasi they give their life fully sa teaching. Lalo na
yung napamahal or nagiging passion na nila yung teaching. But it
doesn't mean naman na kung tunay na mahal mo ang pagtuturo
ay di kana pwedeng makipag relationship or to enter the married
vocation of course nasa sainyo yan . As long as nagagampanan mo
yung obligasyon mo.

Section 5. A teacher shall not engage in the promotion of any


political, religious, or other partisan interest, and shall not. directly or
indirectly, solicit, require, collect, or receive any money or service or
other valuable material from any person or entity for such purposes.
Napapansin ko wala talagang teacher na nagsasabi or nag
popromote na uy iboto nyo to si ganto ganyan . Ito yung president
na magaling kasi ganto ganyan. You are not or you should not
engage on it pag naging teacher na at hindi dapat nag
papabayad sa mga politician’s para dun kayo papabor.
Napapansin ko din pag may mga election the teachers are there
kasi sila talaga yun na mga may demand sa kanila. Expect na natin
pag teacher they have morally and moral values and alam natin na
pag teacher talaga hindi sila nag sisinungaling at hindi sila kayang
bayaran ng kahit sino man para lang gawin yung kamalian.

Section 6. Every teacher shall vote and shall exercise all other
constitutional rights and responsibility.
kaya dapat talaga nag vovote ang teacher kasi isa to sa mga rights
and you should be a role model sa community.

Section 7. A teacher shall not use his position or facial authority or


influence to coerce any other person to follow any political course
of action.
So, the same thing lang sa Article 2 section 5 dapat hindi porket may
position ka or alam mo na mataas ka sa iba ay pwede kanang
mamilit or mag coerce ng ibang tao na mababa pa sayo or like
parents of your students. Sasabihin mo na eto iboto mo to or else
something that will happen to the grades of your child you know
that might but of course that's impossible to happen kasi nga pag
teacher ka you are there to support the community.

Section 8. Every teacher shall enjoy academic freedom and shall


have privilege of expounding the product of his researches and
investigations: provided that, if the results are inimical to the
declared policies of the State, they shall be brought to the proper
authorities for appropriate remedial action.
When we say academic freedom. Normally pag sa academic
freedom ginagamit sya sa tertiary or sa college na where in teachers
have the academic freedom kung sino ang mag tuturo . Kung ano
ang dapat ituturo . At kung ano yung mga subject at topic na
dapat ituro or who will be admitted to the study yan yung sinasabi
na academic freedom. So bawal mo silang pag bawalan kung ano
man ang gusto nilang ituro or sino yung mag tuturo sa subject na
yun.

ARTICLE 3 – THE TEACHER AND THE COMMUNITY


Section 1. A teacher is a facilitator of learning and of the
development of the youth: he shall, therefore, render the best
service by providing an environment conducive to such learning
and growth.
Exp. 1. So why is it the teacher is a facilitator of learning. Ibig sabihin
pag facilitator you serve as a guide kaya pag ikaw teacher
ngayong 21st century learners. Sa mga kabataan ngayon . Or kami
when we will become a future teacher you will serve as facilitator of
learning or the teacher yung mas nag papadali ng buhay ng mga
studyante in terms of their academics. And then render the best
service by providing an environment conducive to such learning
growth. If you’ll be a part of deped talaga there are a lot demands
na dapat ibigay natin dun sa mga studyante kasi students
nowadays ay iba iba sila ng ways of learning. Meron sa kanila na
mas natututo once they watched. Minsan through audio yung audio
learner’s mas natututo sila pag may naririnig sila or those students na
mas natututo talaga sila pag babasahin lang nila by detailed.

Exp. 2.
Basically, as a teacher it is understable na we have to offer our
students good quality of education, pero syempre it is also important
na we provide an effective environment. Bilang isang guro,
kinakailangan na yung pag tuturo natin is always best at its own
service, kumbaga it should be a full package with the goals of
learning and growth. Kasi acquiring an effective learning process
takes great effort kaya ang mga trabaho ng mga guro is to provide,
assess and aid the students properly.

Section 2. Every teacher shall provide leadership and initiative to


actively participate in community movements for moral, social,
educational, economic and civic betterment.
Exp. 1. Pag sa community talaga most of the time yung mga sa
barangay. They ask for assistance from the teacher's kasi sila talaga
yung nagbibigay ng guide or ganun kalakas na leadership meron
ang isang teacher.
Exp. 2. Being a teacher is being a person na all around. meaning, sa
kahit saang lugar kaman mapadpad, dapat you are to be seen as
a person with leadership, no matter where you are. May it be sa loob
o sa labas ng classroom. Lahat dapat ng actions na ating
pinapakita is nagpapalakas ng kabutihan at kagalingan mo. Dapat
you should actively participate within community activities and be a
good citizen yourself.

Section 3. Every teacher shall merit reasonable social recognition for


which purpose he shall behave with honor and dignity at all times
and refrain for such activities as gambling, smoking, drunkenness,
and other excesses, much less illicit relations.
Exp. 1. Pag teacher you shall behave with honor and dignity at all
times hindi lang sa school even outside the school kasi you know the
expectations and demands ng society para sa isang teacher but it
doesn't mean naman talaga na lahat ay bawal and shall merit
reasonable social recognition shall behave with honor and then
refrain from such activities such as gambling. Hanggat maaari ay
iwasan ang pag susugal lalo na pag tayo ay lisensyado na in the
future.
Exp. 2.
This means that being a teacher it does not mean you will only
sustain your student’s education, but also your very own reputation.
Kumbaga may image tayo na inaupholdto set as a better example
or as a role model. Dapat wala kang bisyo may it be smoking,
gambling kahit sa simpleng pagtataya, and any elicit relations, not
just with the possibility na baka makita ka ng student mo. Pero
syempre to prevent the idea na you teach students for the
betterment of themselves, pero ikaw mismo hindi mo magawang
better ang sarili mo.

Section 4. Every teacher shall live for and with the community and
shall, therefore, study and understand local customs and traditions in
order to have sympathetic attitude, therefore, refrain from
disparaging the community.
Exp. 1. We have to understand the local customs tsaka yung mga
traditions na meron ang isang lugar or sa community natin kasi
dapat tayo yung may sympathetic attitude. Sabi nga di ba isa
talaga sa skill na meron ang isang teacher ay ang pagiging
sympathetic or empathetic or marunong kang makisama dun sa
mga tao specially sa community mo. Kung yun talaga yung tradition
nyo dahil ikaw as a supporter or as a leader of the community you're
the one who will lead them.
Exp. 2.
Ibig sabihin as a teacher and also as a citizen, since you should
actively participate to your community, you should always be able
to create your bond within the locals. Kumbaga bilang guro dapat
alam at aware tayo sa customs, kultura, o kinagisnan natin. We
should always give a helping hand to the one that needs it, and to
also provide knowledge, and prosperity bilang isang taong kabilang
sa kagawaran ng edukasyon. Kaya being a teacher is of course,
idealistic kasi nakakatulong ka sa kakayanan ng mga bata at sa
komunidad, pero overwhelming din kasi we have plenty to fullfil.

Section 5. Every teacher shall help the school keep the people in the
community informed about the school’s work and accomplishments
as well as its needs and problems.
Exp. 1. Mahalaga na ang school merong linkage or their working
with the community kasi we are part ng isang lugar kung saan dapat
nagtutulungan tayo not just in the community but also in school. Kasi
ang school naman is parte din ng community lalo na nandun yung
mga studyante na nag aaral

Exp. 2. Since we also have our responsibility, sa community we also


have responsibilities to our profession sa paaralan. Basically, it means
that as a teacher we should be informative, and well aware sa kung
anong nangyayari sa ating school. We should always be updated sa
kung anon ang mga kaganapan at pangyayari sa loob ng ating
faculty, nonetheless our institution. Reasons being is that kung tayong
mga guro ay informative at well aware, we can be able to provide
solutions, for problems and questions and ating paaralan. Not just
that we can also inform the citizens, on our schools’ own
accomplishments and gain better reputation.

Section 6. Every teacher is intellectual leader in the community,


especially in the barangay. and shall welcome the opportunity to
provide such leadership when needed, to extend counseling
services, as appropriate, and to actively be involved in matters
affecting the welfare of the people.
Exp. 1 .Dito sa pagiging intellectual leader sa community but in this
part dito sa pag extend ng counselling services it doesn't mean na
malalim na counselling services yung pwede nating ibigay kasi
providing counselling you need to be an expert dun sa field na yun
at kailangan mong mga mamaster ying mga techniques and mga
stategies kasi ofcourse we have our guidance counselors na to
provide that type of service. Sila yung mas maalam dun sa bagay
na yun.
Exp. 2 This means na kung sakaling magkaroon ng calamity let’s say
earthquake o flood. The teachers have responsibility to take action
and prevent more harm for the citizens and the students. Kaya nga
nung face to face pa tayo, we of course experience yung mga
drills. The teachers are the one to lead everyone out and make sure
na walang studyanteng matitira o maiiwanan. Yung mga disaster
preparedness, yung basic essentials and anything else that can save
a life. This means na bilang guro, hindi lang tayo matalino sa mga
subjects or activities, na maaari nating ibigay, kundi dapat matalino
din sa mga oras ng aksidente o sakuna.

Section 7. Every teacher shall maintain harmonious and pleasant


personal and official relations with other professionals, with
government officials, and with the people, individually or
collectively.
Exp. 1. Ayun dapat meron tayong harmonious relationship with other
professionals so therefore we need to respect the other professions
kasi nga ganun kataas ganun ka noble profession yung pagiging
isang guro kasi there would be no lawyers, there would be no
doctors without a teacher di ba.
Exp. 2. Maliban sa mga students or citizens, dapat as a teacher you
can also maintain a good relationship or bond between your co-
workers or colleagues. Syempre for a school to prosper dapat ang
mga manggagawa is to have a good connection to acquire quality
education. Syempre sa workplace din, it is to say na di naman
talaga lahat ng makakatrabaho natin is marunong makisama,
kailangan pa din natin na to act and talk professionally around
them. As well as government officials, as a teacher dapat hindi natin
pinipili kung sino yung irerespeto natin.

Section 8. A teacher possess freedom to attend church and worships


as appropriate, but shall not use his positions and influence to
proselyte others.
Exp. 1. Ibig sabihin nito dahil di ba pag sa education na talaga we
have to respect yung sa gender or even sa religions of others. So dito
you as a teacher you have a freedom naman to choose kung
anong religion na gusto mong salihan or kung ano man yung
traditions yung religion na sinasalihan mo. But hindi ibig sabihin na
pwede mong gamitin yung position mo as a teacher. For example,
you are a protestant or catholic kasi yung mga studyante mo ay iba
yung paniniwala. Di mo sila pwedeng sabihan na uy dito kayo sa
ano sumali na kayo sa catholic church kasi ganto ganyan or sumali
na kayo dito sa iglesia or whatever churches na included ka.
So that's an ethical so dapat you have to let your students choose
what they want hindi mo dapat sila iniencourage on what religion to
choose lalo na pag ginagamit mo yung position mo as a teacher.

ARTICLE 4 – A TEACHER AND THE PROFESSION


Section 1. Every teacher shall actively ensure that teaching is the
noblest profession, and shall manifest genuine enthusiasm and pride
in teaching as a noble calling.
This means na dapat maipakita nating future educators, na ang
trabaho ng pagiging isang guro is worth of respect patriotic and to
be seen as a noblest profession. Meaning, as we teach, we should
be able to love our job, mahalin yung kawang gawang ating
pinamamalas, and also to be seen as a person na may sinusunod na
prinsipyo sa buhay. Ofcourse sa pag aaral palang natin ngayon first
year palang tayo but we are here to learn kung gaano talaga
kanoble yung teaching profession. It's not actually about rules and
responsibilities na meron o dapat gawin ang isang teacher but it's
about how fulfilling it is kung makita mo yung mga studyante mo
when they'll become successful for the next few years. Then kasi ang
education talaga is the most productive. di natin malalaman for
example yung mga studyante na tinuruan mo ng highschool or
elementary after how many years kakamustahin ka nyan
Uy maam kumusta na sir kumusta na po kayo. I'm a lawyer already,
I'm a doctor. Ganun kanoble ang profession ng isang teacher, ng
isang teaching profession.

Section 2. Every teacher shall uphold the highest possible standards


of quality education, shall make the best preparations for the career
of teaching, and shall be at his best at all times and in the practice
of his profession.
Sa trabaho ng pagiging guro, di pwede yung paspasang gawa. We
should provide quality education, with the highest standards. Dapat
prepared ng maayos ang lahat, at dapat heavily organized ang
bawat aspeto na ating ginagamit o gagamitin, lalo na sa mga
instructional materials na mapapakita sa mga students mo. If all of
this are achieved, a higher chance of the students learning will
definitely become better. Dapat talaga maging effective ka as a
teacher so that mas maraming matutunan yung mga student’s mo
and you serve as a facilitator of learning. Nowadays lalo na sa mga
21st century learners marami talaga sa kanila na mas magagaling
pa sa teacher kasi alam natin kung bakit they have all the access in
the internet. Google provides all the information they
needed.Nandun na lahat nasa internet nalang. Itataype nalang nila
to search for the answer. That's why pag teacher you are there to
facilitate their learning para alam nila kung ano yung dapat ifocus
kung ano yung dapat kailangan nila na mamaster talaga.

Section 3. Every teacher shall participate in the Continuing


Professional Education (CPE) program of the Professional Regulation
Commission, and shall pursue such other studies as will improve his
efficiency, enhance the prestige of the profession, and strengthen
his competence, virtues, and productivity in order to be nationally
and internationally competitive.
This means na as a teacher hindi lang dapat tayo kontento sa idea
na grumaduate na tayo from college. Kasi to be a teacher is to
continuously learn and acquire education. Meaning kahit teacher
na tayo we should still aim for something higher in terms of our
knowledge. Dapat we participate on seminars, and several more
types to improve our skills and enhance our capabilities. Kasama na
diyan yung sinasabi na continuing education program or CPE that
means na we have to assess ourselves to become better as we
are.You are not just competitive dito sa bansa natin but also
nationally, Internationally and globally competitive. Ganun kataas
ang standard ng isang teacher but you know what is not just about
how competitive you are as long as you have that attitude tapos
you are teaching from the heart yung gustong gusto mo talaga that
teaching is your passion. You can be competitive anytime you want
kasi mostly naman sa mga nabibigyan na awards talaga sa mga
teachers the nationally ,or even internationally ay yung mga teacher
that made difference for their students they might not be very
intelligent but they are there to support and inspire the students that
could really make a difference and maybe lalo na ngayon like us na
first year college palang it doesn't mean naman na kailangan na
magaling na kami as a future teacher. No . Of course not . it's for us
to see kung gaano kahalaga talaga na ang isang teacher you will
found love in teaching . Especially when you see so such
improvement in the students lalo na yung mapapamahal ka sa
studyante mo and you see a big difference. How you change their
life that you inspire them. It's a seed of hope na tutubo talaga sya
hanggang sa magiging productive. So maybe this time habang nag
aaral pa kami ng teaching profession. We're starting to plant that
seed in our heart and of course next year another year unti unti
syang mag gogrow without we knowing na mas nagugustuhan na
namin yung pag tuturo . Lalo na pag nandun kana talaga sa field
where in we could see our students.
Section 4. Every teacher shall help, if duly authorized, to seek support
from the school, but shall not make improper misrepresentations
through personal advertisements and other questionable means.
Ibig sabihin we should not use our profession to be a platform of
personal advertisements. All actions to be done sa ating school ay
authorized. Kumbaga we should always follow and obey the rules
that has been set within the school or institution. Kaya nga tayo
naging guro is because we wanted to spread and keep knowledge
and not to use the profession as a business. We should always
remember, na our profession is to be seen as the noblest, thus we
should not have it tainted. Ganun ka noble yung profession ng isang
teacher wherein ikaw yung mag rerepresnt. As a teacher you were
representing your school kaya pag may issue sa school di ba or may
issue sa isang teacher na nababalita sa tv or napatulfo di ba
questionalble din yung school that’s why. Natatanong or kasama sa
interview yung mga principals or even other teachers. So that's why
we have to be careful na hindi mamisinterpret yung school na yun
just because of your mga kapabayaan or mga maling ginawa.

Section 5. Every teacher shall use the teaching profession in a


manner that makes it dignified means for earning a decent living.
This means na our profession as a teacher, makes us a person who is
someone who is earning a decent living. Ibig sabihin, we earn our
ways in the most decent way possible. Na ang pagiging guro ay
hindi isang hamak na trabaho “lang” for teaching is a virtue. Dapat
we are to be seen as a person who heps society, provide the
children, and a person with intelligence. Dapat nag tuturo ka talaga
in a way na disente talaga and mataas yung standard na kailangan
mong gampanan as a teacher. Hindi yung naging teacher kalang
kasi yumayaman. Kasi honestly sinasabi nila dati wala talagang
yumayaman sa pagiging teacher but I disagree with that type of
saying. Kasi walang yumayaman in terms of financial siguro but
yumayaman yung teacher talaga through the student’s success
and then pag nakita mo yung mga studyante mo when they're very
thankful na naging part ka ng changes na meron sila in life.

ARTICLE 5 – THE TEACHERS AND THE PROFESSION


Section 1. Teacher shall, at all times, be imbued with the spirit of
professional loyalty, mutual confidence, and faith in one another,
self-sacrifice for the common good, and full cooperation with
colleagues. When the best interest of the learners, the school, or the
profession is at stake in any controversy, teacher shall support one
another.
Pag teacher talaga you are supporting each other. You are not
there na para ano mag kumpetensya kayo or somewhat like you
are seeing other teachers na kalaban. Which is not really good
dapat we have to support them and cooperate kung ano man
dapat gawin lalo na sa naging part ka ng isang institution or sa isang
school. Kasi you are working for the success of your students. You are
not only working para maging successful ka sa trabaho mo di ba na
kailangan ikaw yung pinakamagaling na teacher dun sa school na
yun. You are there for the students para maging successful sila.And
you have to provide fate to one another dapat you are there to
support at naniniwala ka sa mga studyante mo na kayang kaya
nilang maabot yung mga pangarap or yung mga goals and
missions na meron sila in life.

Section 2. A teacher is not entitled to claim credit or work not of his


own. and shall give due credit for the work of others which he may
use.
Best example dito ay yung mga research na meron yung mga
studyante. You are not allowed to publish it. Unless you provide
credit kung sino man yung mga studyante na gumawa ng research
na yun. Or lalo na pag may drawing yung isang studyante . sa
sobrang ganda and you post in on social media without crediting
the students. Its unethical. So hanggat maaari we provide due credit
kung sino man karapat dapat yung credit na yun. And also, to avoid
what we called plagiarism.

Section 3. Before leaving his position, a teacher shall organize for

Section 4. A teacher shall hold inviolate all confidential information

Section 5. It shall be the responsibility of every teacher to seek

concerns. Dapat kung ano man yung ibinibigay mo or yung mga
ebidensya mo. Dapat it should not be violating dun sa right nung
taong yun. Lalo na yung mga private talaga na files bawal mo yung
gamitin . You have to make sure na hindi ka nakakaviolate ng right.

Section 7. A teacher may apply for a vacant position for which he is


qualified: provided that he respects the system of selection on the
basis of merit and competence: provided, further, that all qualified
candidates are given the opportunity to be considered.

Ayun pag may application may promotion sa school kung hindi


kaman kuha dun sa promotion nayun wag mong siraan or sasabihin
yan politika kasi somewhat like binayaran kasi or sipsip. We have to
respect kung ano man yung system of selection nila lalo na they are
using it for the basis of merit and competence. however, dapat
talaga they should be provided with justice naman and everyone
was given an opportunity to be considered kasi pag alam mo

ARTICLE 6 – THE TEACHER AND HIGHER


AUTHORITIES IN THE PROFESSIONS
Section 1. Every teacher shall make it his duties to make an honest
effort to understand and support the legitimate policies of the school
and the administration regardless of personal feeling or private
opinion and shall faithfully carry them out.

Section 3. A teacher shall transact all official business through


channels except when special conditions warrant a different
procedure, such as when special conditions are advocated but are
opposed by immediate superiors, in which case, the teacher shall
appeal directly to the appropriate higher authority.

employment terms and conditions.
Kaya hindi kalang basta basta talaga pipirma ng kontrata you have

ARTICLE 7 – SCHOOL OFFICIALS TEACHERS AND
OTHER PERSONNEL
Section 1. All school officials shall at all times show professional
courtesy, helpfulness and sympathy towards teachers and other
personnel, such practices being standards of effective school
supervision, dignified administration, responsible leadership and
enlighten directions.

Section 4. No school officials shall dismiss or recommend for dismissal


a teacher or other subordinates except for cause.
So hindi porket ikaw yung principal tapos feeling mo ayoko dito sa
teacher na to kasi parang negative yung awra or whatsoever di ba.
Dapat meron kang specific na reason. Tapos dapat ito ay valid.
Kaya tayo pag magiging teacher tayo tapos kung alam naman

Section 5. School authorities concern shall ensure that public school


teachers are employed in accordance with pertinent civil service
rules, and private school teachers are issued contracts specifying the
terms and conditions of their work: provided that they are given, if
qualified, subsequent permanent tenure, in accordance with
existing laws.
Lahat ng public school teachers dapat employed sila ng naayon sa
rules nung civil service while yung private teachers naman dapat
lahat ng rules na dapag iobey and dapat di malabag is nakasulat
sa contract, dapat before mag sign or mag bigay ng contract
dapat qualified muna yung teacher and dapat walang malalabag
sa laws dun sa contractual paper.

ARTICLE 8 – THE TEACHERS AND LEARNERS


Section 1. A teacher has a right and duty to determine the
academic marks and the promotions of learners in the subject or
grades he handles; such determination shall be in accordance with
generally accepted procedures of evaluation and measurement. In
case of any complaint, teachers concerned shall immediately take
appropriate actions, of serving due process.

and other duties na sakop ang pag aayos ng grade, and kaylanga

to grade a student, for example yung equivalent ng mga project

talaga and if ok naman, explain nalang if bakit ganun grade nya

students.

Section 3. Under no circumstance shall a teacher be prejudiced nor


discriminated against by the learner.
EXP. 1the students should give respect to their teachers as the

hindi dapat sila dinidiscriminate ng kanilang mga students. One
more thing specially in this time of pandemic we all know lalo na sa
balita or even sa Facebook na there are some of parents or even
students na nagpopost sa social media. Just to discriminate kung
sino yung mga teachers or kung sino man yung gumawa ng mga
module nila. You have to remember na teachers have feelings too
at hindi sila perfect or even us hindi tayo perfect. Or kung dumating
man yung panahon na maging teacher tayo in the future. We will
experience thesame thing. Yung taas masyado na expectation but
yung module issues nowadays dapat talaga pag once na may
problem. Ang isang module dapat direct sa teacher. You can ask
questions or address them. On what happened hindi yung
papamahiya mo pa yung teacher mo. Dun sa online . We can just
be done naman siguro respectfully. So pag naging teachers na kayo
. Tandaan nyo na may rights din kayo na dapat to be respected.

Section 4. A teacher shall not accept favors or gifts from learners,


their parents or others in their behalf in exchange for requested
concessions, especially if undeserved.
EXP. 1The teacher should not take a bribe or do bribery sa student
and sa parents’ ng mga student, may or maybe naman na you can
take some favor if it's needed and kaintindi intindi naman.
EXP. 2. Hindi daw dapat tayo nag aaccept ng mga gifts. Sa mga
parents in behalf yun kung meron kapalit na request lalo na kapag
di mo naman deserve yung gift na yun. Kasi sometimes sa totoong
buhay naman talaga we students or even me when I was in
elementary I have this classmate na sipsip talaga sa teacher namin
tapoa yung mom nya is palaging nag bibigay mg kung ano ano
dun sa teacher namin . Which is nag reresult ng palaging pabor
yung teacher namin dun sa classmate ko. Bawal yun like for
example binibigyan mi ng gift si teacher para ikaw yung maging first
honor or dapat ikaw yung nakakakuha ng award so pinag babawal

Section 5. A teacher shall not accept, directly or indirectly, any


remuneration from tutorials other what is authorized for such service.
Exp. 1The teacher should not get/take tutorials from people outside
the school specially the private school teacher kasi wala pa silang
license to teach
Exp. 2 since trabaho ng teacher na magturo, di parin maiiwasan ng
mga students na di makacope up sa mga lesson. but if ever na
mangyari nga yung situation na iyon. tutoring is not allowed. the
teacher should not take tutorials to other student, especially the
private school teacher kasi wala pa silang license to teach nga

EXP. 3This section is applicable to private school if the tutorial


situation is under sa authorities. Because it is beneficial naman sa
teacher school and learner. Legal to But if the teachers tutoring the
learner outside and not under the process of the authorities or school
it is consider as ILLegal
EXP. 4 Ayun lalo na pag ikaw yung subject teacher. Kung ika naman
yung subject teacher why are you going to provide tutorial

Section 6. A teacher shall base the evaluation of the learner’s work


only in merit and quality of academic performance.

performance nila for example the quizzes, activity and project
EXP. 2 It should be on academic performance once you evaluate

tandaan na ang evaluation ng bata ay based on academic

mga parents talaga may rights din silang mag reklamo lalo na pag
alam nilang marunOng naman talaga yung bata. And kung there's
a certain issue din regarding with you and the student. Wag natin
pairalin yung galit natin. Sa mga future students natin. Even
kinaayawan natin sila or kinaiinisan. Because you as a teacher you
are there for them to facilitates them to become better.

Section 7. In a situation where mutual attraction and subsequent


love develop between teacher and learner, the teacher shall
exercise utmost professional discretion to avoid scandal, gossip and
preferential treatment of the learner.
as much as possible, don’t build any relationship with the students.
be professional, teachers should just guide and teach the students,
not doing some stuffs with their learners.

The teacher and student should not be involved in romantic


relationship with his/her students, for example that kind of thing
maybe viewed unacceptable because maybe the age, may it get

Section 8. A teacher shall not inflict corporal punishment on


offending learners nor make deductions from their scholastic ratings
as a punishment for acts which are clearly not manifestation of poor
scholarship.

deducting points and pagbabago ng mga documented stuffs are
not absolutely allowed.
Exp. 2the teachers should not deduct the academic performance
recorded ng student if may nagawa mang mali yung student, it

ng punishment dapat yung tama and not only what his/her want

Exp. 3. Ito yung mabigat. We know nowadays na bawal na talaga

Section 9. A teacher shall ensure that conditions contribute to the
maximum development of learners are adequate, and shall extend
needed assistance in preventing or solving learner’s problems and
difficulties.

If meron kang student early yung knowledge at di sya nakakasabay


sa discussion kailangan bigyan mo pa din sya ng activities para
makasabay pa din sya sa klase the teacher should maximize the
abilities of their students Kumbaga matalino un bata tapos yung
topic alam nya na kaya naboboring nasya ganon

Ayan maximum development of learners. Part ng responsibility ng


teacher is to Maximize or to showcase kung anuman talaga yung
potential ng isang bata. Like for example you have this student na

ARTICLE 9 – THE TEACHERS AND PARENTS


Section 1. Every teacher shall establish and maintain cordial relations
with parents, and shall conduct himself to merit their confidence and
respect.
Exp. 1. So ang sabi dito is as a teacher kailangan mapanatili natin
yung cordial relationship between satin na teacher and sa mga
parents , so yung cordial relationship it means friendly and sincere
but hindi yung sobra or overly close. That's the only relationship that
a teacher could have with parents not romantic , not elicit. Cordial
relationship kasi we need to have boundaries , as a teacher you
need to set professional limits para naman andon pa din yung
respect. It's also very important kasi to get the trust and confidence
and respect of the parents because once na yung magulang ay
pinagkatiwalaan kana , it will just very easy para sa mga parents to
give you the full support that you need in molding the kids or their
kids. Dagdag lang , na mahalaga din na may healthy relationship
between teachers and parents , So yung positive connections
between sa mga magulang at teacher ay para maimprove yung
academic achievement ng bata kasama na don yung social
competency tsaka sa emotional well being nila . So kung yung
magulang and teacher may cordial relationship , yung mga bata
can do better in school and at home kasi through elders nakikita na
nila na " ah ganto pala sila magusap nila teacher and mama
maayos hindi sila yung tipo na nagsisigawan , ganto pala sila
makitungo sa isa't isa " well alam naman natin na ang mga bata
kung ano yung mga nakikita nila sa matatanda ginagaya na

Exp. 2The teacher should have a good relationship sa mga parents


ng mga student but not in romantic way and also may limit on how

studyante.Kaya kailangan natin idevelop yung interpersonal skills

development of the student.

gawin , basically the weaknesses of the student but kapag sinabi mo
na yung weaknesses ng kanilang anak or you point out the
deficiencies of their kids , as a teacher you should be tactful or
sensitive not to hurt yung mga magulang kasi syempre anak nila yan
, magulang sila ,maririnig nila na " ah misis yung anak niyo po
basagulero " , dapat everything should be shared well positively and
tone must also be okay when you pointing out the deficiencies of
their children , and also you have to seek cooperation for the proper
guidance and improvement of the learners katulad nung minention
ko kanina na no matter how good the teachers is in school
especially teaching in the kids , if the parents at home are not
cooperating or enriching kung ano yung tinuturo ng teachers sa
school walang mangyayari , kaya parents and teachers should work
hand in hand , parents should not only leave everything to teachers
they cannot do it all alone they need your support , guidance and
cooperation if you want your kids to be good as possible.

teacher sasabihin ay yumg anak nyo po hindi nakikinig sa klase. Tas
yung parent uy hindi po maam di ganun kasi sobrang bait ng anak
kong yan sa bahay. Kaya yung iba talaga amg ginagawa pag hindi
talaga naniniwala yung teacher is they feel numb nung bata kung
ano talaga yung ginagawa but you have to inform the parent pag
ganun yung nangyayari because you have to be careful din sa pag
fifilm ng mga minors.

and understanding, and shall discourage unfair criticism.

action , kapag may complaint dapat hindi mo sinasawalang bahala
lang you need to take action. You weight things. As a teacher , you
have also hear complaints from parents , you listetn to what they
have to say with sympathy and understanding but it doesn't mean
that you would always underside , you just have to listen with
sympathy and with understanding and after listening to those things
or the complaints given to parents specifically against a particular
teacher.

makita nya kung ano ba talaga Yung performance ng anak nya.
Kasi alam naman natin ang feeling as a parent di ba kailangan
intindihin mo din na parents sila e gusto nila maging maganda or
mabigyan kung ano man ang deserve ng mga anak nila.

ARTICLE 10 – THE TEACHER AND BUSINESS


Section 1. A teacher has the right to engage, directly or indirectly, in
legitimate income generation: provided that it does not relate to or
adversely affect his work as a teacher.

ibang tao teachers have financial struggles , So teachers have the
right to own , mag manage o magparticipate sa kahit anong
legitimate business , the teachers has the right to have other source
of income or generate income from other activities , its okay for
teachers to sell online or to be agents of insurance companies or
kahit maging brokers ng mga properties o kahit Iengage niya yung
sarili niya sa mga income generating activity as long as these
businesses are legitimate and at isa pang na dapat mong iconsider ,
Oo sinabi ko kanina na " it's okay " to allowed teachers to do such
activities pero teacher has to make sure that this business does not
adversely affect him or his job or his mission towards sa students , so
yung mga businesses ay dapat hindi nakakaapekto sa efficiency ng
teacher or sa pagccomprise sa students learning , remember that
teacher ka and yung pagtuturo is your main job , and alam mo sa
sarili mo kung ano yung exactly na gagawin mo as teachers and so
your businesses is just another thing , its your partime thing or ayon
yung side hassle mo para pandagdag sa income mo . So yung oras
na nilaan mo sa mga students mo should not be alloted to your
business , as long as tayong teacher is ginagawa natin yung job
natin , as long as teachers does not oblige or not force student to
buy his or her products and as long as ikaw na teacher you can still
function more than what is expected sa teaching field , then the
teacher is allowed to participate in any income generating
activities.

ang utang ay di tinatakbuhan, keep your image as a teacher as
clean as you. Di pwedeng lahat nalang business yung buhay mo.
Kailangan din mag focus ka or prioridad mo talaga yung pag tuturo
mo.

Section 2. A teacher shall maintain a good reputation with respect


to the financial matters such as in the settlement of his debts and
loans in arranging satisfactorily his private financial affairs.

or to be indebted as long as you settled these debts and these loans
, you arrange dissatisfactory and you pay debts according to terms.
So share ko lang , yung ninang ko teacher din siya based sa mga
pinopost niya online she loan nakabili na sila ng kotse by that kasi
nga daw mas convenient yon compare sa pagccommute , and it's
okay , as long as nga na you as a teacher hindi mo tinatakbuhan
yung mga utang mo , as long as you settle their financial obligation
then it's okay. As long as responsible ka when it comes sa Financial
matters mo.
Kasi nakakahiya naman yung pag part ka ng isang institution or
isang school tapos may issue ka na nangungutang or sobrang laki
ng loans mo. Tapos hindi mo binabayaran di ba. Kailangan natin
imaintain yung dignity as a teacher. Lalo na pag sa financial matters
na.

Section 3. No teacher shall act, directly or indirectly, as agent of, or


be financially interested in. any commercial venture which furnish
textbooks and other school commodities in the purchase and
disposal of which he can exercise official influence, except only
when his assignment is inherently, related to such purchase and
disposal: provided they shall be in accordance with the existing
regulations: provided, further, that members of duly recognized
teachers cooperatives may participate in the distribution and sale of
such commodities.
EXP. 1 teachers are not allowed to do business that with their
students, like hey if ever na need mo ng ganito, sakin ka na bumili.

kapa nila ng malaki. Para lang na ioffer dun sa school yung libro nila
. Kasi nag kakaroon ng bias at hindi natin sure talaga yung quality
ng books na inoffer ng publishing house na yun. Kaya if you in terms
dito sa business tapos educational we have to be careful . Pero
kung assign ka naman dun. Inasign ka ng school na para mamili ng
books . You can go for it but wala ka kang connection wherein
babayaran ka nila para lang gawin ang gusto nilang gawin in terms
sa pagpipili ng books.
ARTICLE 11– THE TEACHER AS A PERSON
Section 1. A teacher is, above all. a human being endowed with life
for which it is the highest obligation to live with dignity at all times
whether in school, in the home, or elsewhere.
as a teacher, you will be the coach, you have to guide your students
mapaschool man o sa labas, di lang natatapos ang responsibilidad
mo sa mga student sa school lang.

Section 2. A teacher shall place premium upon self-discipline as the


primary principles of personal behavior in all relationships with others
and in all situations.
As a teacher dapat turuan mo silang maging disiplinado maging
maayos ang pakikitungo sa learner and co teacher. Lalo na pag
may mga issue wag tayung gumawa ng scandal or makikipag gulo .
We have to show self-respect and discipline

Section 3. A teacher shall maintain at all times a dignified personality


which could serve as a model worthy of emulation by learners, peers
and all others.
Kilalanin mo ang mga students mo, lahat ng mga bagay, para
mahandle mo ang class at maging role model ng mga bata.
Section 4. A teacher shall always recognize the Almighty God as
guide of his own destiny and of the destinies of men and nations.
Dapat as a teacher, dapat tinuturuan mo about sa mga word kay
God. Because God is the center of our life. Sabi nga nasa tao ang
gawa nasa diyos ang awa. So palagi nating isasama si god sa mga
plans and decision natin sa buhay because without god in our life
maaring maligaw tayu ng landas. Seek guidance from god palagi
naman specially pag mag eexam ka na for LET.

ARTICLE 12 – DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS


Section 1. Any violation of any provisions of this code shall be
sufficient ground for the imposition against the erring teacher of the
disciplinary action consisting of revocation of his Certification of
Registration and License as a Professional Teacher, suspension from
the practice of teaching profession, reprimand or cancellation of his
temporary/special permit under causes specified in Sec. 23. Article
HI or R.A. No. 7836. and under Rule 31. Article VIII. of the Rules and
Regulations Implementing R.A. 7836.
EXP. 1Pinag uusapan dito ang Certification of Lisence As a teacher
dapat may license of professional teacher ka. Kaya nga nag aaral
tayo para makuha yan. Kapag may nalabag ka pwede ka
masuspension from teaching.

EXP. 2. Pag hindi natin nagawa kung ano man yung mga bagay na
dapat nating gawin. Sa mga institution lalo na sa education na field
although uso talaga ngayon na laging nirereklamo yung teacher.
But kung kayo yung nasa authority or part kayu dun sa school na
yun. You have to protect at all cost din yung member mo na
teacher. Like for example This principal na alam nya sa sarili nya na
maling mali yung ginawa ng teacher nya dun sa isang student tapos
yung time na nag rereklamo na yung parent dun sa principal. ang
ginawa ng principal ay she was able to sympathize and understand
the feelings nung parent na yun but then sya as a principal she really
did her best to protect yung teacher nya and to depend it also
although may pag kakamali din talaga kasi you are part of the
constitution. Ang nang yayari pag ang isang teacher ay nirereklamo
what will happen kung ikaw mismo di ba as administrator you are
not protecting yung mga constituent’s mo or kung sino man yung
mga teacher’s mo dapat there should be a balance between a
teacher and even the teacher herself.

ARTICLE 13 – EFFECTIVITY
Section 1. This Code shall take effect upon approval by the
Professional Regulation Commission and after sixty (60) days
following its publication in the official Gazette or any newspaper of
general circulation, whichever is earlier.
60 days or almost 2 months, tanggal ka na pag may nagawa kang
labag sa rules and regulations.
