is a Destiny Map of the opportunities

WHAT BA ZI IS NOT
Some are under the impression that BaZi works as this magical
tool that’ll give them the answers to questions like:

“When will I strike lottery so I don’t need to work anymore?”

“Will I marry someone rich?”
“Is he/she the right person for me?”

And once they get an answer to any of these question (if they
actually do) then they sit around doing nothing and just expect it
to take place.

This is not what BaZi is, it’s about educating yourself on your
personal traits and characteristics that enable you to make
the necessary changes to better your life. It’s about being able
to understand yourself, your wants and needs, as well as those
around you. It’s always about improving yourself or situation with
the knowledge you obtained.

A BaZi chart is in the form of 4 Pillars, from which we can read to understand what
your Destiny has in store for you.

Why 4 Pillars?
Because you get these details by plotting your Year, Month, Day and Time of birth
– each represent one pillar.

Inside each of these Pillars you will find details about different aspects (relationship,
career, mentors etc.) of your life. You’ll be able to see this through the Animal signs
and the Elements that are present in each box.

12 ANIMALS & BA ZI
There are 12 Animals signs in the world of Chinese
Metaphysics, known as the Chinese Zodiacs.

Each has a specific representation and connotations

attached to them.

Most people know about the animal signs based

on the Year they were born, but what many don’t
know is that everyone actually has 4 animal signs
nested in their BaZi chart – one animal sign for
each Pillar.

Depending on the Pillar it resides in, it has a

different meaning that can tell you things that are
related to the different aspects of life.

THE 5 ELEMENTS

Elements are important in Chinese Metaphysics because it is

present in every study of this ancient art. The 5 Elements –
Fire, Water, Earth, Metal and Wood – in a BaZi chart gives
you an insight into your personality and characteristics.

There are three types of relationships between these Elements;

they can Produce, Weaken or Control each other.

Depending on the strength of the Elements in your chart, you’ll

be able to identify if the other Elements are working with or
against you.

THE CONCEPT OF YIN & YANG IN BAZI

Yin and Yang are two primal forms of Qi (energy) and at its core is
all about balance. The interaction between these two subsequently
relates to the Five Elements.

Just like Yin and Yang, in a BaZi chart, we want to see a nice
balance between the Elements. This is very important because an
imbalanced chart indicates a disharmony between the elements,
which in return affects a person’s personality and characteristics in
a less than favourable way.

Each Element has both Yin and Yang features. For example, for
Fire there are people whose chart is Yin Fire indicating their knack
for being great motivators and leaders, and there are those who
are Yang Fire who are reliable and can always be counted on.
Depending on whether your Element is Yin or Yang your natural
traits will differ.
