Job Title :Electrical Engineer, Commissioning.

Report to :Head of Modification & Construction.

Job Purpose:

Job Purpose:

Electrical Engineer, Commissioning is responsible for testing, pre-commissioning and


commissioning of Electrical Equipment packages and devices in onshore and offshore project
sites. Drive and control of construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning throughout
PTTEP Malaysia project to progress the commissioning execution plan, procedures and system
hand over/final acceptance documentation based on PTTEP Malaysia’s commissioning strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

 Plan and manage, and control contractors/vendors in order to ascertain that the offshore
platforms and modifications are designed and built as per specifications, procedures,
cost and schedule, utilizing good and safe industry practices.
 Lead and supervise the execution of system testing, precomissioning and
commissioning of entire electrical equipments,SWBD,DB,MCC, UPS, Solar Panels, Nav
aids, DEG and other associate controls of entire utility and production facilities.
 Ensure that all Interfaces, engineering drawings and documentation ( i.e. Motor control
schematics, panel termination drawings, loop diagrams etc) are kept up todate for the
facilities..
 Interaction with contractors is required during engineering/technical studies when
modifications are made to the existing facilities.
 Manage & verify Mechanical Completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning without
hydrocarbons, commissioning with hydrocarbons and total start up and points of
handover to the Operations .
 Must be a Team player and capable of communicating technical issues across all
other disciplines.

 Safety responsibilities in the Health Safety and welfare of all persons engaged
on, or related to any site project work being undertaken by COMPANY. In
particular COMPANY personnel, staff, contracted and visitors, including third
parties.

Professional Knowledge & Experiences:

 Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.


 Minimum 10-year experience in oil & gas /petrochemical industry ,8 year in the role of a
commissioning engineer.
 Have experience on inter panel signals & devices to complete the overall schematic
controls.
 Have experience on completion management leading to mechanical completion,
precommissioning, commissioning and start up plant & facilities.
 Exposure to the use and interpretation of applicable codes, standards and practices for
design , construction and commissioning of offshore platforms and facilities.……..

 Registerd with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM)

 Possesses Electrical Chargeman Certificate(A4) will be an added value.


 Possesses Valid Bosiet Cert and valid Offshore Medical Examination cert.

 Good in written and spoken English skills
