CLEARING
Establish Rapport first, Clear the client’s mind
space (“ Is there anything to be cleared before
being fully present?) & Explain confidentiality of
the conversation

Review Commitments/Action Items from Last


Conversation
(How did their commitments go? Listen for how
the clients lived their values, gifts and purpose)

GOAL
Discover what specific goals they want to
accomplish today.
What is the significance of this goal in their lives
now? What will happen if the goal is
accomplished? Not accomplished? What is the
price they are willing to pay for this goal? How
will they know that they have got what they
wanted from this call?

Current Reality
Investigate what is going on in their context?
Where does the tension and dilemma lie? What
are they getting by not resolving this? What
have they already tried? What has worked?
How much?

Options
Explore what options and obstacles occur for
them. What option most honors their gifts and
talents? How have they or someone they
admire solved a similar problem? If their sibling
or best friend were in their position, what would
their advice be? If they knew they wouldn’t fail,
what would they do?

Will
Investigate what they are committed to do
about fulfilling their goals. What option are they
intending to pursue? What are the immediate
actions items they committed to take on? What
obstacles do they foresee? What structures
could support them?

Closing
Acknowledge them for the values they
demonstrated in the call. Ask them what they
learnt about themselves today. Thank them for
the opportunity to coach them, and close.
