QUICK REFERENCE
TO PROGRAM THE CALCULATOR:
Press the program button, on SIDEA, to enter programming mode.
Press the program button to step to the next function.
Press the next button to increment digit when required or press the select button to
step to the next digit.

The following MESSAGES are displayed whilst PROGRAMMING:

• Pulser - type of pulser selected
• Hoses - type of pump (see pump types on page 5)
• Diesel – select diesel buzzer on/off
• Address - pump address
• Hand t- handle timeout in seconds. (1 to 9 seconds, default 1 sec)
• Puls t – no pulses timeout. (30 to 120 seconds. Default 60 seconds)
• Code – enter code to continue programming
• 818181 or 8 8 8 - console/stand alone
• ppl- price per litre
• Del – max delivery
• S flo – slow flow offset
• C fact – select 1c / 5c
• Preset – select keypad or no keypad
• Disp t – select time for display to remain on after power fail
• Speed – select lo or hi
• Pulses – pulses/litre as per the solder link on the motherboard
• Set c – set code
• Prog – software version #

TO READ / ACCESS THE ELECTRONIC TOTALS:

Via Keypad: Press the 00 three times (on the Keypad of side A) until the totals
mode is entered. Press the clear button to step to next total
Via the button: Press and hold the button (on side A) until the displays go blank.
Release the button and the Totals will be dislayed.
The pump will now display the following readings:
C1A= accumulative money total for product 1 , side A
L1A= accumulative litre total for product 1 , side A
C1B= accumulative money total for product 1 , side B
L1B= accumulative litre total for product 1 , side B
C2A= accumulative money total for product 2 , side A
L2A= accumulative litre total for product 2 , side A
C2B= accumulative money total for product 2 , side B
L2B= accumulative litre total for product 2 , side B
C3A= accumulative money total for product 3 , side A
L3A= accumulative litre total for product 3 , side A
C3B= accumulative money total for product 3 , side B
L3B= accumulative litre total for product 3 , side B

TO PRESET THE PUMP FOR A DESIRED AMOUNT (MONEY/LITRES):

For Pump Type 20:

• Lift the hose, select either money/litres icon on the keypad, type the desired
amount and press the nozzle icon on the keypad to select which
side/display is to be used.

For all other pumps types:

• Select either money/litres icon on the keypad, type the desired amount and
lift the nozzle to be used. The pump will start dispensing and will stop
dispensing at the inputted amount.

TO ACCESS THE TEST MODE AND RESETTING THE MEMORY:

1. Press the next button first. Hold it on and press the program button.
2. Release the next button, then release the program button.
3. Press the program button to step to next test. (Press the select button at any
time to exit the test mode)
4. (Hose 1 on side A must be lifted to start the test)
5. Test 4, which displays "111111" allows the memory to be cleared.
6. To clear it, handle 1 on side A must be lifted then the next and select buttons
pressed.
7. Test 5 will be displayed when memory is cleared.
8. After Test 5, press the program button to exit the test mode.
9. The pump will display "FAILED", indicating the memory is cleared and the
pump now requires re-programming.

SELECTABLE PUMP TYPES:

Select one of the following pump types whist in the programming mode:

10 ---- 1 side single hose 2 displays in parallel (mod 91)

11 ---- 1 side single hose 1 display (mod 91)
12 ---- 1-side TCS2 hoses (mod 363)
13 ---- 1-side TCS3 hoses (mod 363)
20 ---- 2 sides single hose 1 product selectable displays (mod 91)
21 ---- 2 sides single hose 1 product fixed displays (mod 91)
22 ---- 2 sides TCS 2 hose s/side (mod 363)
23 ---- 2 sides TCS 3 Hoses/ side (mod 363)
24 ---- 2 sides single hose 2 product selectable displays (mod 91)
25 ---- 2 sides single hose 2 product fixed displays (mod 91)

Note:
Pump types 20 and 21 have 1 product. Side A and side B must use hose 1
Pump types 24 and 25 have 2 products. Side A must use hose 1 and side B must
use hose 2

This option identifies to the pump whether a diesel hose is fitted to the pump.
This will activate the buzzer whenever the diesel hose is used.

The default setting is " - ", indicating no diesel hose is fitted. Press the NEXT button to select:
" d 1" ------- diesel hose is product 1 / on right Hand Side A
" d 2" ------- diesel hose is product 2 / in the center A
" d 3" ------- diesel hose is product 3 / on left Hand Side A

Once the above is set, it cannot be changed unless the pump's memory is reset.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

♦ The display will change as follows:

Press and hold the NEXT button to set the pump address for SIDE A. The pump address will be
shown in product 1's price per litre display. The number will scroll from 0 thru 16.
SIDE A and SIDE B pump numbers can be programmed independently of each other, e.g. SIDE A
can be set to pump # 1 and SIDE B can be set to pump # 7

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

♦ The display will change as follows:

Press and hold the NEXT button to set the pump address for SIDE B. The pump address will be
shown in product 1's price per litre display. The number will scroll from 0 thru 16.
SIDE A and SIDE B pump numbers can be programmed independently of each other, e.g. SIDE A
can be set to pump # 1 and SIDE B can be set to pump # 7

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

♦ The display will change as follows:

In this mode, the handle time delay can be set, in seconds, from 1 to 9 seconds.
The default is 1 second.

Press and hold NEXT button to change the default value to the desired value.
The digit in the price per litre display will scroll from 0 to 9. Depress the
Next button when the desired value is reached.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

♦ The display will change as follows:

This setting is the time, in seconds, that the pump will time-out if delivery is stopped without the
nozzle being switched off. Press the NEXT button to change the default setting of 60 seconds.
Values from 30 to 120 seconds can be set.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

NOTE: This display appears only if a security code is entered in mode "SET
C"
If no security code was programmed in mode "SET C", the display will skip this function.

Press and hold the NEXT button to set the first digit, the digit will scroll from 0 to 9
Press the SELECT button to move to the next digit and repeat step.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

The display will change as follows:

Press the NEXT button to select the mode that the pump must operate in:

• 818181 for console/computer mode.

• 8 8 8 for stand alone/manual mode.

Note: This function will only be displayed if dispenser is set to stand alone/manual mode.

The display will change as follows:

FOR A SINGLE PRODUCT DISPENSER:

Press and hold the NEXT button .The first digit that is flashing will scroll from 0
to 9.
Keep button depressed until correct number is displayed.
Press the SELECT button to move to the next digit and repeat step.

FOR A MULTI PRODUCT DISPENSER:

Press and hold the NEXT button. The first digit that is flashing in the price per litre will scroll from
0 to 9. The rest of the price per litre displays will be blank.
Keep the button depressed until the correct number is displayed.
Press the SELECT button to move to the next digit.
By repeating this step the flashing digit will advance from the first price per litre display to the next
price per litre display.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,
The display will change as follows:

This setting is used to set the maximum litres that the pump is to dispense per delivery.
Press and hold the NEXT button .The first digit that is flashing will scroll from 0 to 9
Keep button depressed until correct number is displayed.
Press the SELECT button to move to the next digit and repeat step.
Under a 1000 litre will default to 200
Over a 1000 litres will default to 0200

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

The display will change as follows:

SLOW FLOW OFF-SET: the amount of litres that the pump must switch the Fast Flow Valve off
before the Preset amount is reached.
Press and hold the NEXT button .The first digit that is flashing will scroll from 0 to 9.
Keep button depressed until the correct number is displayed.
Press the SELECT button to move to the next digit, and repeat step.

Press and hold the NEXT button to select either 1c or 5c operation for the amount display.
When the pump is set to the 5c operation, the pump will round off the Amount dispensed as per
SABS regulation.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

♦ The display will change as follows: TYPES 20,21,24 and 25 only

This identifies to the pump whether a preset keypad is fitted to the pump.
The default is "P" for Preset keypad.

Press the NEXT button to change to a "-" if no preset keypad is fitted.

Press and hold the NEXT button to select the time (in seconds) that the pump displays are to remain
on after the power to the pump is switched off.

This is programmable only once, and the pump's memory requires clearing should the display time
need changing.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

The display will change as follows: TYPES 10 and 11 only

Press and release the NEXT button to change from Lo to Hi.

Set to LO when the standard configuration of single product with one motor and pumping unit is
used.
Set to HI when the configuration of single product with two motors/two pumping units/two meters
and two pulsers are used.

This displays the pulses per litre that has been set on the motherboard.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

To set the security code:

Press and release the NEXT button and “0”000 will be displayed in the price per litre display. Press
and hold the NEXT button. The first flashing digit will scroll from 0 to 9.Keep button depressed
until correct number is displayed.
Press and release button to move to next digit.

Note: The code stored in "SET C" must be entered at "CODE" to allow
entry to programming mode.

• Press and release the PROGRAM button again,

The display will change as follows:

This displays the Software Version Number e.g. 01,00 indicates version number 1.

Note: To exit programming mode, press the PROGRAM button again, the pump will return
to the LAST SALE display.

ERROR MESSAGES:

FAIL 1:
Displayed on the money display. This indicates that there is no
communications between the pump and the forecourt control system.

FAILEd:
Displayed on the volume display. Indicates that the pump's memory has been lost/reset.

Pr Err:
Displayed on the money display.
Indicates that the amount preset via the Keypad is too large (the pump will not be able to display
the money on the money display)

Perr:
Displayed on the price per litre display. (will always display on the price per litre of the respective
hose)
Indicates a pulser error has occurred.
The following conditions cause Pulser errors:
1) should the meter turn backwards, the pulser will also turn backwards. Should the pulser turn
backwards more than ¾ turn, the pump will stop (ie motors/valves will switch off) and the
pump displays Perr on the ppl display when the nozzle is returned into the pump.
2) Should any one of the pulser phases go faulty (ie phase A or phase B or both), the pump will
stop. Perr will be displayed once the nozzle is returned into the pump.
3) Should Vcc (power) of the pulser go faulty, Perr will be displayed once the nozzle is
returned into the pump.

HS Err:
For types 20 and 24 only,
Indicates that both nozzles have been lifted simultaneously.
The correct method of operation is to lift the nozzle and select which display is to be used, before
lifting the 2nd nozzle.

VIEWING ELECTRONIC TOTALISER READINGS:

Via the button: Press and hold the button (on side A) until the displays go blank. Release the
button and the Totals will be displayed. Press and release the button to step to the next total.

NOTE: THE PUMP DISPLAYS WILL REVERT TO THE LAST SALE DISPLAY
WHEN THE PUMP IS LEFT INACTIVE, IN ANY OF THE TOTALS DISPLAY,
FOR LONGER THAN 20 SECONDS. REPEAT ONE OF THE ABOVE STEPS TO RE-
ENTER THE TOTALS MODE.

The display will change as follows:

• C1A = accumulative money total for product 1 , side A

accumulative total of R 234567,89.

To step to the next total:

• Via the Keypad: Press and release the clear button to step to next total, or

accumulative total of 2345678,9 litres.

To step to the next total:

• Via the Keypad: Press and release the clear button to step to next total, or
• Via the button: Press and release the button to step to the next total.

The pump’s display will alternate, displaying each product’s money and litre totals, and depending
on the amount of products on the pumps, as follows:

C1B= accumulative money total for product 1 , side B

L1B= accumulative litre total for product 1 , side B
C2A= accumulative money total for product 2 , side A
L2A= accumulative litre total for product 2 , side A
C2B= accumulative money total for product 2 , side B
