This means you hold down the Ctrl Key and press A.
Back Space
The key in the upper right corner of the keyboard.

To avoid needless repetition, the meaning of terms related to operations using the mouse and other terms are defined
below.
Right Click
Click the button on the right side of the mouse
Double Click
Click the mouse button twice in quick succession. For example, “Double click the icon,” means to move the
mouse’s pointer onto the icon and then click the left button twice in quick succession. It is possible to adjust the
length of time between clicks which will distinguish between a “double click” and two, separate single clicks. Go
to the Windows Control Panels.
Pop-up Menu
A menu which is displayed by clicking with the right mouse button.
Radio Button
On-and-off switches for various functions and features.
If you select a folder with a different exported dataset, the program will also terminate with the following message:
If you choose the correct folder, the program will startup normally. It is suggested that you leave the program in its
default location to simplify the startup process.

Tool Bars
Functions in the circle below are available only in i-Dixel One Data Viewer Plus.
Scaled Rulers
A line will follow the mouse as it is moved inside of each slice image and the position of the mouse will be shown as
a series of XYZ coordinates along the status bar in millimeters.
Information Panel
This window shows additional information exported with the images. This includes the patient’s name and ID
number from the i-Dixel database, the date and time when the images were captured, the rotation history and the
doctor’s comments. The doctor’s comments and patient identification are not displayed at startup. Click the [ ]
button next to “Information” in the data table to expand the hidden data. Click the [ ] next to “Private to also show the
doctor’s comments.
On the separate window, click the push-pin symbol in the upper right corner to make everything except the title bar
disappear.
If you want the window closed entirely, click the [×] in the upper right corner of the panel instead. If the panel is
hidden, display it by clicking the Patient Info button on the tool bar:
Histogram Panel
This window displays the histogram for the images shown. You may use the histogram to adjust the brightness and
contrast of the exported images to improve clarity. For additional information on histogram functions, see page 19.
The histogram window can be moved and manipulated in the same way as the Information Panel.
To hide or show the histogram, click the Histogram button on the Tool Bar:
Export Slices
The Export sub-menu allows you to export the image slices as standard Windows device-independent bitmaps which
may be opened by any other programs that recognize the BMP format.
Images will be exported exactly as currently shown including any annotations and measurements.
If you wish to export the original images you must reset the histogram. See section 5.1 Adjusting the Histogram for
details.
If you wish to export the image without any annotations, hide the annotation before exporting the image by going to
the Tool Bar and clicking the Hide or Show Annotations button:
You can also simply drag and drop the entire XYZ window. Drag the Position Panel to do this.
4.1 Toolbars
The Toolbar sub menu allows you to turn on or off any of the toolbars in the One Data Viewer.*
These functions will work only for the i-Dixel One Data
Veiwer Plus application.
*Most of the functions on the tool bar can also be found in one of the menus.
Status Bar
4.3 Rulers
Click the Rulers option to toggle the rulers on and off. Even with the rulers turned off, the XYZ coordinates of the
mouse will be shown in the status bar in millimeters.
Rulers
Note that the position of the slices will change within the main window. The orientation is always shown in the
Position Panel (circled above).
To change the up and down arrangement, click the Up-Down Position button:
Even if the cursor lines are hidden, they will appear when you try to drag them.
4.7 Annotations
Open the View menu and select Annotations.
The annotations on the slice images will appear.
Annotations include measurement data.
You can also do this with the Show or Hide Annotations button on the Tool Bar:
4.9 Information
Open the View menu and select Information to display the patient information panel.
You can also do this by going to the Tool Bar and clicking the Patient Information button:
4.10 Histogram
Open the View menu and select Histogram to display the histogram.
You can also do this by going to the Tool Bar and clicking the Histogram button:
You can adjust the brightness of the image by dragging the green
lines separately or by dragging the point where they cross to
move both of them.
Dragging the blue line adjusts the contrast.
The combined use of these lines defines the input and output data
for the image.
In the histogram shown at the left, the original range for the gray
level was from 0 to 255, but it has been changed to from 20 to
255.
The plus [+] and minus [-] buttons allow you to zoom in on the histogram to look at a particular region in greater detail.
The zoom center is the point at which the two green lines cross. The horizontal range beneath the window will change
to indicate the new display range.
In the example below, the data level of the original histogram has been changed to from 64 to 191. This will not have
any effect on the contrast setting.
i-Dixel Button
Click this button will restore the histogram values which were originally exported. These are the default values used
when the application starts up.
Reset Button
This restores the image to the way it was before any adjustments were made.
Negative Tilt
6.1 Select
This is the default tool for when the application starts up.
Open the Tools Menu and click on Select. This will cancel the use of any other tool.
You can also simply go to the Tool Bar and click the Select button:
Clicking this button will cancel a measurement being made.
6.2 Erase
Open the Tools menu and click on Eraser.
Use this tool to delete any measurements on the image. The mouse cursor will change to the shape of an eraser.
You can also simply go to the Tool Bar and click the Eraser button:
If the eraser has been selected, click this button again to cancel it and go back to the Select tool.
Right-click anyplace on the image to cancel the eraser and restore the Select tool.
Delete measurement data or text boxes by clicking on them with the eraser.
Be careful because deleted data cannot be restored.
You can also remove data using the Delete key on the keyboard. Simply click on the data and then press the Delete
key.
Click anywhere on the slice image to begin the measurement. The cursor lines will disappear. Click on one or more
points to continue the measurement. The clicked points will be connected with a line. Finish the measurement by
double-clicking on the last point.
After double-click the last point, the length of the line will appear in a box.
If you have made measurements for two or more slices of a single plane, you can display them one after the other by
clicking either the Back or Next button:
For example, if you have made measurements for the Z plane for slices -2.0 mm, -1.0 mm, 0.0 mm, +1.0 mm, and +2.0
mm, you can easily display them one after another using the Back or Next button.
This works only for the currently selected slice image.
Click on the image to begin the measurement. Click again on another point to make the first line. Click a 3rd time
to begin the second line and click a 4th time to complete the second line. The angle will be calculated and display in
a text box.
Cancel the measurement before completing it by selecting another tool from the menu, clicking another tool on the
Tool Bar, or right-clicking the mouse.
Click on a slice image to magnify the area around the point where you click.
The mouse cursor changes to a magnifying glass.
You cannot move cursor lines while using the magnifying glass.
To quit using the magnifying glass, select another tool from the menu, click its button on the Tool Bar again, or
right-click the mouse.
