Media language refers to the different


codes, conventions, formats, symbols and
narrative structure that indicate the
meaning of media messages to an
audience.

There are three types of media codes.


1. Symbolic codes
 It shows what is beneath the
surface of what we see (objects,
setting, body language, clothing,
color, etc. ) or iconic symbols that
are easily understood.
