instil the values of humanitarian dedication.

VI. Profile of Partner Community:


The Philippine Red Cross is humanitarian organization that is committed on various
social welfare services promoting volunteerism. The Philippine Red Cross is set to
reduce the impact of disasters, climate change, public health emergencies,
illnesses and other situations of violence for affected families and communities. The
Volunteer Service Office handles programs aim at encouraging people to
become an army of volunteers of Philippine Red Cross by sharing their resources,

time, and efforts to alleviate human suffering. The delivery of essential services of
the Philippine Red Cross is powered by the committed service of volunteers who
unselfishly devotes time, energy, and resources in serving humanity. There are
various Red Cross branches all over the Philippines, and their overall goal is to
promote health and prevent illnesses among the Filipino people.

Saint Louis University serves as a common middle ground for many health and
social projects sponsored by outside organizations. It is always in connection with
the Philippines Red Cross during the organization’s promotion of blood donation.
Saint Louis University has connections with various organizations to promote the
health and social welfare of its students and those in the surrounding community.

IX. Impact Assessment Plan
There are a number of benefits concerning blood donation, not only to the
recipient but also to the donor. The impact of this knowledge may lead to more positive
effects for one's physical and emotional health. Research studies have shown evidence
that donating blood can reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and overall physical
health. With this information disseminated properly, a student's life is activated to reduce
the possible health risks associated with a lack of health care for one's self.

Another important impact of this activity is the possible promotion of community


health through the knowledge of the students who will participate. This helps to promote a
healthy lifestyle for the said communities.
