Learning Content Topie: Noun Reference: Module 6: Naming Words Materials: Manila Paper, Visual aids (pictures of common objects, animals, and people). Procedure Teacher’s Activity Student's Activity A. Preliminary Activity a. Opening Prayer Good morning ck Is everyone doing great? ss, That’s good to hear: Alright, everybody stand up and let us have our prayer. Before you take your seat, kindly pick up the pieces of paper under your chairs and arrange your chairs properly. Afterwards, you may take your seats. b. Checking of Attendance Let me check the attendance first. Do we have any absences for today? Great! You have perfect attendance in today's class. B. Motivation 1 feel like you are ready to learn today. But first, Tam going to show you pictures of familiar objects. All you have to do is to guess the name of each object shown on the board. Good morning, Teacher. Yes, Teacher. C. Discussion You know that everything around us has a name. Try to look around and everything you see has a name. And today you will learn about a special type of word called "noun." A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, or animals. Can you give an example of a name that you are familiar with? Very good class. All of your examples are correct. Those are just some of the special words that name a person, places, things, or animals around us. ‘We use nouns when talking about our favorite toys, family members, pets, or places we like to visit. And knowing this type of noun will help us express our thoughts and ideas effectively. Can you follow class? We have here a set of words given on the board, let us read and sort these naming words in the table below whether each of them was the name of a person, place, thing or animals. Let us read the set of words before sorting it on their proper column, Are you ready? butterfly school bag pen robot dog sister rabbit aunt park dad house (The pupils’ answers may vary.) Example: Anna Goat Ball Park Yes, Teacher. Yes Person | Place | Thing | Animal Good job everyone. (The pupils will sort the set of words according to the name of a person, place, things and animals.) Very good everyone, you have sorted the naming words (name of a person, place, thing, or animal) based on whether each of them was the name of a person, place, thing, or animal. Give yourselves a clap. Now, let’s read the table that shows the words wwe have sorted according to their names. Keep in mind, when we say noun, it refers to the name of a person, place, thing or animal Do you understand? So, let's see if you really understand our lesson. D. Application We have another set of words. With your group, you will be given five minutes to complete the activity. Go to your group and answer the activity properly and quietly.
