2. Description all Parameters
2.1 Sortparameters
After entering and acknowledging the sort numbers you can scroll between the individual
parameters by means of the direction keys.
A newly entered value is stored by pushing the key “AE”. You can quit the menu "sort parameters"
Sort_no. by means of the key “ESC” or the F2 key.
Maximally 63 sorts can be entered.
It is also possible to change the parameters of the running as well as of another sort with the dosage
process running.
Target filling weight of the bag. The entered value must be between the minimum and maximum
target weight
target weight. (see “setup” parameters).
“After flow” is the material which still flows after completing the fine feed (sliding gate closing time).
The value which is entered here is the initial value for the in-flight controller.
If the value entered here does not correspond to the real product properties, this value is corrected
by the factor which has been entered under the parameter "weight controller" (see controller
afterflow parameters).
The corrected value is stored only in the sort memory, if the parameter “automatic value copying”
has been activated (see controller parameters).
The “in flight” value should be positive. If it is negative than to much Cement is flowing out after
closing sliding gate (bag to small?).
With this parameter the duration of the fine feed can be set.
dribble feed This parameter will be optimized automatically by the controller, if the controller of the desired
duration of the fine feed has been activated (see “dribble feed time”).
If the dibble feed time is greater than zero the controller regulates automatically the main feed set
point so that the resulting fine feed is as long than the set time. That means that an automatic fine
feed adjustment will be done.
The duration of the fine feed is only controlled, if a value greater than zero has been entered in the
“dribble time controller” (see controller parameters).
If the value 0 is entered for the desired duration of the fine feed, the controller of the main feed set
dribble feed time point is deactivated.
In some borderline cases it is possible that the controller of the desired duration of the fine feed
produces useless results. In these cases the value 0 should be entered for the desired duration of
the dribble feed time; the duration of the fine feed should be controlled via the parameter “dribble
feed”.
It must be observed that the effective duration of the fine feed results from the addition of the
desired duration of the dribble feed and the blocking time of the dribble feed.
If the value falls below this “discharge" set point during a discharge or bag ejection, the output
“discharge" is reset, the input “discharge threshold" is set and the scale is ready for a new filling.
Discharge thresh. It must be observed that for this parameter a value greater than zero is entered!
C:\Users\untung.harmanto\Documents\Mamuju\Mamuju final.com\Pactron_Parameterliste.doc

If the value is higher than this “discharge" set point during and the filling is terminated, than it is not
possible to start a new filling.
The entry of the values for tolerance plus and tolerance minus is for evaluating the tolerance (only in
bagging mode) in case of a controlled filling (see controller parameters). With the help of the
tolerance plus tolerance evaluation it is possible to decide by means of the outputs "tolerance minus" and
"tolerance plus" (see following table) how the dosed weight will be treated. In case of the tolerance
evaluation it is distinguished between 4 states. These states can be evaluated with the rising edge of
the signal "discharge".
a) No tolerance: This state occurs, if the filling is interrupted by pushing the key "rest" or if it is the
question of an uncontrolled filling (only in bagging mode).
b) Tolerance good: This state occurs, if the dosed final weight is within the tolerance limits (only in
bagging mode).
tolerance minus c) Tolerance minus: This state occurs, if the dosed final weight is less than the target weight less
the parameter "tolerance minus" (only in bagging mode). In this case a top-up can be affected
subsequently.
In order to make possible a top-up see section "key additional sort parameters", items "top-up time"
and "top-up delay".
d) Tolerance plus: This state occurs, if the dosed final weight is greater than the target weight
plus the parameter "tolerance plus" (only in bagging mode).

2.2 Additional sort parameters

Sort_no. Look at “sort no.” sort parameters
If the weight on the scale exceeds the weight value entered here, the output “set point A” is reset. If
the weight on the scale is less than the entered value, the output is set.
The output can be used for any purposes and is active in the bagging mode as well as in the
loading/unloading mode. In most cases it is the Output-Pin 12 (in Program DB_x1.dbx73.1).
setpoint A The entered value refers always to the actual net weight in the scale and not to the summed-up
weight.
This Parameter is for pushing additionally air in the packer slide of the spout to start cement
flow inside Packer. If it is too much air in cement reduce this parameter.
Look at “setpoint A”
setpoint B
In most cases not used.
By means of this parameter it is indicated how long additional product is subsequently
dosed in case of a top-up.
During this time the output “top-up active” as well as the output “fine feed” are set; no
weight evaluation is affected.
top-up time If this parameter is set to 0, no top-up is started.
Generally a top-up is started only, if the weight is in the "tolerance minus" range, the
external input "top-up enabled" is set, the scale is in the bagging mode and for the
parameter "top-up time" as well as for the parameter "top-up delay" a value unequal 0 has
been entered.
With this parameter you enter the time how long the controller is waiting after a top-up
until it evaluates the weight once again. During this time no top-up is affected. If the weight
is still in the "tolerance minus" range during a new weight evaluation, another top-up cycle
is affected. This procedure is repeated until the weight is in the "tolerance good" or
"tolerance plus" range and the number of top-ups is reached (Parameter J from PLC-
top-up delay
Parameters). To restart after dosing press the start-Button at spout cabinet
If the weight is in the "tolerance good" or "tolerance plus" range, the output "discharge" is
set (unless no discharge interlocking has been set externally). During the time of the “top-
up delay” the output “top-up active” is set. The output “fine feed” is reset. If this parameter
is set to 0, no top-up dosage is started.
The target weight offset is a weight value, which is added to the target weight. This
parameter takes effect in the bagging mode only. The duty of this value is to compensate
a constant product/weight loss because of the dust collection or because of leaking bag
valves. In case of doubt this value should be set to zero, as it directly affects the dosed
Offset
weight.
In case of doubt set this parameter to zero, as it directly influences the dosed weight.
By pressing the ”+” or “-“ key the sign can be changed between positive and negative
offset. The sign will only show up if the value is negative.
The first marking signal is a weight value which generally is used for closing silo outlets
during the unloading mode, i.e. the corresponding function "first marking signal" is set to 1,
if the reached summed-up weight plus the weight in the scale has exceeded the preset
first marking
batch weight less the parameter "first marking signal" without decimal places. The first
marking signal is active in the loading mode only.
This Parameter is at Packer without function.
This value serves as preset value, if the loading is started via the keyboard. If a new value
is entered when starting the loading, this value is stored under this parameter. If a loading
loading value
is started externally, this parameter is used as desired loading value.
This Parameter is at Packer without function.

2.3 Controller parameters

The weight controller controls automatically the after flow of the scale and
regulates it by means of the factor entered here towards the target weight (in
case of weight differences). This occurs in the bagging as well as in the
loading/unloading mode.
The Setting range is between 0,0 and 1,0 (most 0,5).
afterflow controller For example: old after flow was calculated with 0,21 kg and now measured with
0,25kg than the controller will calculate now 0,23 kg (0,04 kg difference
multiplied with 0,5).
0,5 is good enough, because the after flow changes between two fillings always
a little bit.
This value has effects for all sorts.
The time controller regulates towards the desired duration of the fine feed preset
in the sort parameters.
Thus an automatic adjustment of the fine feed of the scale is possible without
influencing the precision. The entry of the factor “00” deactivates the control of
the main feed set point for all sorts! The entry of the factor “20” means 20 %
dribble time controller regulation.
The Setting range is between 0 and 20 (most 20).
For example: old fine flow was calculated with 8,0 kg and now measured with
9,0kg than the controller will calculate now 8,20 kg (1,0 kg difference multiplied
with 0,2 [20%]).
This value has effects for all sorts.
The number of fillings after which the in-flight deviation of the target weight is
regulated. This parameter is only active in the bagging mode.
The Setting range is between 0 and 99 (most 1).
afterflow controller cycle
1 means that after every filling the difference to the target weight will be
regulated.
This value has effects for all sorts.
Number of fillings after which the weight on the scale is tarred to zero when
starting the dosage. This parameter is only active in the bagging mode.
automatic zeroing cycle The Setting range is between 0 and 99 (most 1).
1 means that after every filling the automatic zeroing will be done.
This value has effects for all sorts.
The fine feed blocking time is for filtering out the mass flow of the product which
is still in free fall during the change-over from main to fine feed and for ignoring a
short overshooting of the scale beyond the fine feed set point.
dribble feed blocking time The Setting range is between 0,0 and 99,0sec (most 0,5 sec).
0,5sec. means that during the change-over from main to fine feed for 0,5 sec.
the value controller is blind.
This value has effects for all sorts.
This function is for delaying the weight evaluation of the scale by the preset time
after the dribble feed dosage has been completed.
The Setting range is between 0,0 and 99,0sec (most 0,5 sec).
check weight delay
0,5sec. means that during the closing of the sliding gate for 0,5 sec. the value
controller is blind.
This value has effects for all sorts.
Activation or deactivation of the automatic storage of the calculated fine feed and
product in flight value into the sort memory.
automatic value copying
The Setting range is between 0 and 1 (most 1).
1 means that after every filling the calculated values will be saved into the sort

parameters.
This value has effects for all sorts.
2.4 General Parameters
This parameter is for providing the summed-up weight printouts with a consecutive
number. Here the 4-digit number can be set as desired.
consecut. number With each final sum printout and following pushing of the key “CE” the consecutive
number is increased by one.
This parameter is for statistics
With this parameter it can be set whether the filling in the loading and unloading mode is
to be dosed either only with main feed or with main and fine feed. If the dosage mode “all
fillings with main feed” is selected, a considerably higher flow rate can be achieved with
the scale. If in this dosage mode an unloading is started, the last two or three fillings are
dosed with main and fine feed in order to achieve an exact final batch weight as possible.

This parameter functions only in the loading/unloading mode (in the bagging mode
it is generally dosed with main and fine feed
-> look Setup-Parameter “bag load/unload” [bagging mode]).

Also it is possible to select with this parameter whether the controller automatically sets
dosage mode
the “stop full” signal if the dosed weight exceeds the tolerances programmed in the sort
parameters, i.e. in case this bit is set and the dosed weight exceeds the programmed
tolerances the scale doesn’t set the “discharge” signal unless the “stop full” is
acknowledged by either pressing the key “test stop” or setting and resetting the external
input signal “stop full”. After acknowledging the controller sets the “discharge” signal and
the filling cycle continues as usual. This parameter functions only in the bagging mode.
x0  all fillings with main and dribble feed
x1  all fillings with main feed
0x  no stop full when dosed weight exceeds tolerances
1x  automatic stop full when dosed weight exceeds tolerances
This value has effects for all sorts.
The minimum duration to carry out a discharge is to preset here.
The discharge is only finished, if this time has elapsed and a value below the discharge
discharge time
threshold (Sortparameters) has been reached.
This value has effects for all sorts.
If you desire, that the scale always discharges in a certain time interval, this can be set by
this parameter.
If the scale has completed the dosage earlier than the set time, the full scale waits, before
discharge interval discharging, until the discharge interval has elapsed. If the discharge interval has elapsed
and the scale has not yet completed the actual dosage, the scale continues with the
running dosage and discharges immediately after reaching the final weight.
At packer will be done the discharging with positions and not with this time.
With this parameter the monitoring of the filling time can be activated. The entry is affected
in seconds. If the entered filling time is exceeded during the dosage, the output
max. filling time "monitoring of the filling time" is set  Alarm function.
The monitoring of the filling time can be deactivated by entering the value 0.
This value has effects for all sorts.
With this parameter you can preset the size for a counting pulse. This counting pulse is
given as soon as a full pulse size value has been exceeded.
pulse size
These pulses can be used to count the cement quantity.
At Packer not used.
With this parameter the duration of the counting pulse is set.
The duration of the no-pulse period also corresponds to this entered time, i.e. if a pulse
pulse duration
duration of 0,75 seconds is entered, the minimum no-pulse period is also 0,75 seconds
until the next pulse is given.

Seite/Page 7/15
Pactron Parameter-List
The Setting range is between 0,00 and 9,99sec (most 0,5 sec).
At Packer not used.
As soon as the actual filling speed drops below the programmed values for minimum fill
speed during main and fine feed (see next two parameters) this timer starts to count down.
The timer is reset if the actual fill speed exceeds the programmed minimum fill speed
values for main and fine feed.
The Setting range is between 0,00 and 99,99sec (most 1,5 sec).
1,5 sec. because of start packing. Cement need a little time to flow into the bag.
This value has effects for all sorts.

In case of interruption the filling by the weighing unit:

Now, the operator has to check, if the bag is broken or the packer is empty.
bag break delay
If the bag is broken, the operator has to reset the weighing unit by pushing the
Red Stop button. After the second push, the bag holding cylinder will release the bag and
the operator can remove the broken bag.

If there is no cement in the packer, the operator has to

wait until the packer is filled up !! with cement (lamp rotary feeder flashing).
After the packer is filled up again, the operator has to reset by pressing the
green start button to continue filling.

Remark: By pushing Red Stop button once, the dosing will interrupt.
By pushing Red Stop button twice, the dosing will abort.
This value is the minimum fill speed during main feed. This value is compared with the
actual fill speed during main feed. If the actual fill speed drops below this value the “bag
break delay” timer starts to count.
fillspeed main The Setting range is between 0,00 and 99,99kg/sec (most 2,0 kg/sec).
If a 0 is entered into this value the bag break detection is disabled for the duration of the
main feed.
This value has effects for all sorts.
This value is the minimum fill speed during fine feed. For further information read “fillspeed
main”.
The Setting range is between 0,00 and 99,99kg/sec (most 0,0 kg/sec).
If a 0 is entered into this value the bag break detection is disabled for the duration of the
fillspeed dribble
fine feed.
The experience shows that enabling the fill speed dribble in a rotary packer make
no sense.
This value has effects for all sorts.

PLC
The values shown in this menu are variables for the program of the optional plc board. The function of each
value is determined by the plc program, i.e. that this value can be a timer, counter, etc. Please read the
software documentation of your plc program for further details.
The range of each value is 000.255.
The 8 values are named as follows: A, B, C, D, E, F, H, J. The newly entered value takes effect immediately
after pressing the “AE” key.
A ( x 100 ms) Set additional air at filling pipe only in after flow. For example to empty spout pipe.
Set additional air at filling pipe interval ventilation (on time). If the feeling is that it is too

Inputs
In this menu you can observe the function to each parallel 24VDC input. The parameter will be set automatically by stop and
start the Packer PLC (OB100). The Inputs are only used in Packer PLC. Only Pin I08 is used in Pactron Master Terminal.
The inputs are marked according to the following syntax: “Ixx”. “I” = input and “xx” = the pin number at the connector XS3,
for example “I06” means input at pin number 6 of connector XS3. The 2-digit number on the right side of the display
represents the function number.
Example: If you wish to assign the function "compressed air active" to the input at pin 16, you must write function
number “07” to Input-Pin “I16” (DBxx.DBB48) in OB100.
Attention:
It must absolutely be observed that the function 6 is not assigned (for internal purposes only) and that no input
function is assigned twice. If an input function is assigned twice both occurrences are reset to function 00!
Pin 18 (brown/blue) is external 24 Volt power supply and Pin 23 (white/pink) is 0 Volt potential power supply.

Outputs
In this menu you can allocate a function to each parallel 24VDC output. The parameter will be set automatically
by stop and start the Packer PLC (OB100). The Outputs are only used in Packer PLC. Only Pin O09 is
controlled from Pactron Master Terminal.
The outputs are marked according to the following syntax: “Oxx”. “O” = output and “xx” = the pin number at the
connector XS3, for example “O09” means output at pin number 9 of connector XS3. The 2-digit number on the
right side of the display represents the function number.
Example: If you wish to assign the function "ready for start" to the output at pin 11, you must write
function number “12” to Output-Pin “O11” (DBxx.DBB54) in OB100.

Setup
In order to change the setup parameters please proceed as follows:
1. Push the “CAL” key.
2. Push the F2 key “Setup”.
The desired values can be entered by means of the numeric keypad. You can scroll between the individual
parameters by means of the direction keys. A newly entered value is stored by pushing the key “AE”. You can
quit the setup menu with the keys “ESC” or F2.
The key “CAL” functions only, if the keyboard has been enabled via the parallel input “keyboard”. Moreover, the
access to the “SETUP” parameters must be enabled by removing the jumper in the load cell connector. If the
scale is in the custody transfer mode and the load cell plug is opened, the gauge plugging will get damaged. In
such a case please inform the responsible Office of Weights and Measures immediately
By means of this parameter building vibrations influencing negatively the
weighing procedure can be dampened. It applies that the higher the filter
setting the larger the vibration damping. When setting the filter it should be
observed that the smallest possible filter is set, since a larger filter setting
increasingly reduces the scale reaction time. The dynamic filter is active during
dynamic filter (03) the dosage.
(dosage filter) The static filter is essential for the no motion recognition. When entering the
filter it must be observed that the static filter is set larger than or equal to the
dynamic filter.

14  5,50 sec.
15  7,00 sec.
The time to no motion is the dwell time of the scale within ±1d before a weight
time to no motion (0,3 sec.) evaluation is affected. The scale no motion is also indicated in the scale
display by means of the no motion symbol. The input area: 0,1…1,5 seconds.
The entry is affected in seconds and indicates the period during which no
blocking time discharge
evaluation of the main feed set point is effected after the discharge signal has
(0,5sec.)
dropped. Input area: 0,1...1,0 seconds.
The indication “point” or “comma” shows that the weight display uses a “,” or
only a “.” as decimal character. Moreover, in the setting “comma” a “B” is
dot (0) - comma (1) for display
displayed for gross. If the display is set to “point” a “G” is displayed instead of
(1)
the “B”. The setting “point” or “comma” does not influence the unit! Input
options: 0=point, 1=comma (default).
An increased resolution in the weight display reveals that the digit increment
set in “range” is displayed with a resolution increased by the factor 10. If the
weight display has been set to an increased resolution, it is not possible
to start the plant. The state of the increased resolution is reset after resetting
enhanced resolution (0)
or powering up the controller. In case of an increased resolution the “zero
setting key” and the “tarring key” are enabled, i.e. in case of a no motion the
displayed weight can be set to zero or tarred. Input options:
0=normal digit increment (default), 1=increased resolution activated.

With this parameter it can be set whether the scale is operated
in the bagging mode or
in the loading/unloading mode or
in the bagging and loading/unloading mode.

With this parameter, you can specify if the scale control should continue to
work in the normal manner in the event of a communication failure with the
scale display (input = 0), or if the scale control should abort the ongoing
display watchdog (0) dosage process and give out the error message Error 25. The scale control
remains blocked till communication with the display is established once again.

The minimum or maximum target weights are the preset limit values for
min target weight (12,50 kg) entering a filling quantity (see description of the key “sort parameters”). It must
be observed that the minimum desired value can be less than or equal the
max target weight (55,00 kg) weighing range and that the maximum desired value can be larger than or
equal the minimum desired value and less than or equal the weighing range.
Range
In this window it is possible to adjust the unit (g, kg, t, lb) which will be
displayed. The maximum desired value must be larger than or equal the
Range (60,05 kg)
minimum desired value, but larger than the max target value. The ,05 from
60,05 means that accuracy what the controller is displaying is 50 grams.
Calibration
The actual preload of the scale is displayed and is set to zero by pushing “AE”.
Zero calibration (0 kg)
Only press “AE” without weights until this Symbols are ► 0 ◄ displayed.
The maximum load is displayed as default value. If you would like to calibrate
the scale with another weight. This weight should be checked before at an
extra weighing unit. The accuracy from the weighing is better with larger
calibrations weights (but not more than the Range). It must be entered the
Span calibration exact weight of calibration weight by means of the numeric keypad.
(40kg to 60 kg) Now the previously entered weight must be placed on the scale and
subsequently acknowledged with “AE”.
Attention:
Put first the calibration weights at the spout before pressing “AE”
(performing the span calibration)
