B. Answer the following:

1. A table is an organized arrangement of text in the form of rows and columns. It is very useful in organizing

and representing the text information and the numeric data in an effective manner.

2. I. The Table Move Handle is located at the upper left corner of the table and is used to move a table whereas

the Table Resize Handle placed at the bottom right corner is used to resize a table.

II. Splitting a cell means dividing the selected cell into separate cells whereas merging cells provides a way

to combine multiple cells and consolidate the data in one cell.

3. To calculate Sum in a table, select the Formula button in the Data group and apply the SUM formula.

4. Formatting controls the overall appearance of a table. The Table Styles feature is used to format a table and

change its appearance, colour, and borders.

5. To quickly change the column width in a table, place the mouse pointer on the column border and drag the

double headed arrow right or left to increase or decrease the width.
